You read that right. Biscoff-loaded donuts that deliver on macros too. We’ll take all 12 please.

I thought Zac (@counting_zacros) had outdone himself with his last recipe, the high protein loaded pizza. But these Biscoff-filled donuts take the cake (or the bread?). It’s his most mouth-watering recipe yet.

Fluffy donuts made with protein powder to support gains and casein to fuel recovery, filled to the brim with gooey Biscoff spread. Each donut filling provides 2.5g of protein and just 36 calories. Dig in.

Makes 12 donut holes.

Ingredients

Donut holes:

35g plain flour

20g Vanilla Casein

10g Vanilla Impact Whey Protein

100g low-fat Greek yoghurt

3g baking powder

Glaze:

  • 40g zero/low cal powdered sweetener
  • 20ml unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla essence

Filling:

  • 40g Biscoff Spread

Instructions

1.

Sift flour, casein, whey and baking powder into a mixing bowl and whisk to combine.

2.

Add Greek yoghurt and stir to create your dough. If it looks a little thick, add a splash of milk.

3.

Once your dough is formed, roll out into a large square and cut out 12 small circle shapes using a small cookie cutter (or any small circular mould — Zack used an olive oil spray cap).

4.

Grab all your dough circles and roll them into individual balls, then place in your air fryer for 5-6 minutes on 200C.

5.

While the donut balls are cooking, add your glaze ingredients to a small mixing bowl and stir to combine.

6.

Once the donut balls are cooked, remove from air fryer, cut a pocket in them and inject with Biscoff.

7.

Roll the donut balls in your glaze.

8.

In Zack’s words …  “Inhale every last one of them like it’s your final meal”.
