Protein Date Crispies
Wow what can I say these Crunchy, Chocolatey, Protein Date Crispies are truly delicious and as there is no cooking involved, surprisingly easy to make! An excellent pre/post workout snack with added dates for a natural sweetness.
You Will Need:
Ingredients
- 50 g Dark Chocolate (For Base)
- 100 g Protein Crispies (For Base)
- 45 g Milk Powder Smooth (Vanilla) (For Middle)
- 50 g Peanut Butter (For Middle)
- 10 g Desiccated Coconut (For Middle)
- 50 ml Almond Milk (For Middle)
- 50 g Soft Dates (For Topping)
- 30 g Flaked Almonds (For Topping)
Method
Firstly start by melting the chocolate and adding the protein crispies, stir all together. Separate the mixture evenly in the cupcake cases, leave to one side to set.
Next
Mix the peanut butter, milk powder smooth and desiccated coconut together then a little at a time pour in the milk until it makes a dough, take a tea spoon of the mixture, roll it into a ball and gently press it on the top of the chocolate cripsie mix.
Lastly
Put the dates into a bowl with 5 tbsp of boiling water, heat in the microwave until all the water has been absorbed and the dates have made a thick paste. Taking half a teaspoon at a time and smooth it over the top of each snack and sprinkle with almonds.
