"The price of this product is excellent, the taste however is wrong. I've found that instead of having it with water or milk and using a shaker, I blend fruits/ice-cream or sorbet with it and it tastes good and I get some my five a day :) The reason I bought this product was because I'm lactose intolerant. Overall good product for the price, cheers myprotein. "

"Found this product hard to mix with water, tastes yuck as well, have tried different amounts with filtered, bottled and tap water and can't seem to get the consistancy right, either the product gets lumpy or goes so frothy it's getting the top off a cappachino, just does'nt work for me."

"This product really suits me as im lactose, egg, dairy, yeast intolerant so i really sruggle finding suitable supplements. Just give it a good blend with some soya milk and a banana (half normal and half chocolate) used 40g of protein and 250mls of milk. tastes good!"

I put 20g in a blender with 250ml unsweetened soymilk and a heaped tablespoon of xylitol... the perfect consistency and lovely taste. I also sometimes like to add a teaspoon of cacao powder for a chocolate milkshake. \n\nI'm not sure if you can get non-defatted soybeans which I would prefer... that's the only thing I'd change but I guess most people prefer them to be defatted?\n\nVery impressed with this product and will be buying again :)

"it looks like soy protein... it tasteslike soy protein... must be soy protein! If you dont like the taste of soya milk, you'll probsably hate this unflavoured powder. However, put 2 scoops in a pan of 30ml warm water, stir, add 100g oats, heat up and add honey, you've got the perfect vegan breakfast!\n\nfav shake:\n1 scoop Impact Blend banana\n1/2 scoop egg white powder\n1/2 scoop soy protein isolate\n1 chopped banana\n2 tsp splenda\n\nblend in smoothie maker. job done!"

"Okay, as per the title, the effectiveness of this product will depend on who you are.\n\nIf you are the average joe, who can't digest lactose, but needs to increase the amount of protein in your diet, this is fine. Simply mix it in a blender with some fruit (or honey) and soy milk and it tastes fine and mixes well. \n\nHowever, if you're a lactose intolerant bodybuilder then this doesn't cut the mustard for a number of reasons, as listed below:\n\n1) Mixability in a shaker with water is poor (I take 50g at a time in one shaker so you should take this into account). If you have your shakes on the go, be it in the office or after the gym, likelihood is that you mix with water and down it. You can't do that with this powder as it mixes poorly in water (using a shaker). You're left with lumps and froth (see point 2).\n\n2) Far too frothy in a shaker. This is more of an annoyance than a serious problem. I have to wait about 2 minutes for the froth to die down before I can actually drink it.\n\n3) It is not palatable without adding flavouring. Believe me I can generally tolerate the most disgusting of tastes but this was revolting. I had to purchase the strawberry flavour drops which I must admit do make it taste pleasant. However, this means you have to carry these around with you and adds 7 or 8 pounds to the price, making it not as cost-effective as I had previously thought.\n\nAdding to this the annoying resealable zip which is not travel-friendly whatsoever, I find it hard to give this product a good rating. I will be switching back to Holland&Barrett Chocolate soy isolate. Although it's more expensive, it is far more convenient.\n\nPlease, MP, sort us out with a decent flavoured version. There are enough people out there who need it and there are few good substitutes so it will surely be a hit product!"

"I have a new 2.5kg bag from MP. Hmm. What's going on here... Not so nice a taste and different mixing ability. In fact it's quite similar tasting to the H&B stuff, but not exactly the same. I went over and got some H&B from a pal and compared them. As I remembers it, the previous bag (4 months ago) from MP mixed better really, leaving a few soft lumps that floated. This new bag makes less but hard, tough lumps that tend to not float. In fact some of them are too hard and tough to break up even by chewing!! Maybe my taste has changed over the last few weeks or this is a sizeable product variation or a different product? Maybe this is the same as the H&B with the anti-caking agent?"

"Switched from the impact whey to this for a couple of weeks to cut out dairy for a while.\n\nMore difficult to mix than regular whey and tastes pretty bad without mixing with something else. Really could do with a flavoured version! \n\nHowever, no bloating etc, so it's doing a good job there."

"I'd been taking H&B soya protein for years till l came across this one and it's so much better better. I take it as a breakfast, mixing in a blender with blueberries, flaked coconut, a pinch of cinnamon and a bit of xylitol to make it sweeter. Divine taste :)"
