im not used to taking weight gaining shakes as i have just been taking whey protien but after some good reviews i have decieded to switch. this is a really good product and i cannot see why everyone complains about the taste i bought a weight gain shake to gain weight! if i wanted a nice milkshake i would have gone to the supermarket. The shake has mixed really well and really just tastes like porrige. Overall a really good product and will definately be buying more of it.

"I'm sure this product is effective, but I couldn't continue to use it; the taste is unbearably sweet. Using just half the recommended amount in 300ml of liquid, it was still awful. What I can't understand is that (with all those carbs in there) the manufacturer decided an artificial sweetener was even necessary. I'm sure it would be much better without the sucralose... I've sold mine on to a less discerning friend."

"Having tried pretty much every other product on the market this was my ""last chance saloon"" to add lean mass to my slender frame - something that is very difficult to do for me due to an over-active thyroid. Two servings per day for the last two months plus my regular diet and training routine have seen me put on (and keep on!) 12lbs. I went for the vanilla option and yes ok, it doesn't taste as nice as some of the ""fancy"" products you get in the high street stores but it's far from awful, mixes well and for me is literally worth it's weight in gold. "Using this product for about a week now. Been taking a shake 3/4 times a day. I am a ectomorphic body type which means I am quite naturally slim, Previously a heavy gym goer but hit a plateau, realised it was because I wasn't getting enough calories and carbs into my diet. The shakes are a great way to solve this, and I have notably gained lean mass, however I have also gain a little fat but this is inevitable when your taking in so many calories. Overall a good product and a quick and easy way to assure your getting good nutrition to grow muscle without making loads of meals throughout the day!"

I am fairly new to training and so far have only taken the Impact Whey Protein which is great. At the recommendation of my PT ive switched to Impact Weight gainer. I got the Chocolate Smooth flavour and at first found it really sickly sweet compared to the Whey Protein and I struggled to drink it due to the sweetness. After the first few however I got used to the taste and now its no problem at all. Generally it mixes ok with no issues but on one occasion it lumped together and I got a mouth full of powder. This was a one off though and I would buy this again. Would like more choice of flavours though.

"Just had my first shake of the strawberry flavour. Taste isn't too bad, it's more the texture when drinking it, kinda grainy but that's what I expected as it's packed with oats. Mixing was not an issue with the spring shaker"

"I've never been able to put on weight despite working out almost daily, my lightness was becoming an issue as im a keen rugby player and found myself getting injured frequently. I have just finished my first bag, having roughly 3 a day and in less than a month ive managed to put on a 5kg. That has coincided with my body fat percentage dropping aswell, i love this product as its the first to get me real results. I struggled with the taste for the first few days (chocolate smooth) and it was making me gag slightly, but like any protein its grown on me and i can drink it happily enough. I will definitly be getting this product for the foreseeable future."

"This is the worst tasting product i have ever used, it tastes like raw diluted pancake mix, its very grainy and doesnt mix well at all, even with a blender. Ive used a lot of other MP products which have all been great but this is just awful. I had to just throw it in the bin after 2 uses."
