"Maybe it has changed since the earlier reviews, but I just bought a kg as my Rice protein had run out and have about 18 grams in about 500mls of warm water. It mixes very easily, just a brief stir with a desert spoon does it. To me the taste mildly reminiscent of peas and is OK enough to not be a problem to take at all, better than dairy anything. I've always found dairy products taste between not pleasant to quite horrible, be it milks, cheeses, or butter, especially the after tastes that's the really bad part where the bad taste just gets worse and lingers. The pea protein, mixed in water, it's consistency is very smooth indeed, milk like. Different to the Rice protein which had a bit of a texture. Once a day I also mix hemp protein, about 15 to 20g, in with the pea protein and warm water and stir. The hemp protein has to me a somewhat hard to tolerate flavour. I guess you just have to try it as clearly each different person has their particular taste likes and dislikes."

"Just wanted to make another comment because the batch of pea protein I just brought was actually better than the first. Not sure if its the new packaging but probably. Anyway it mixed even better with no lumps. Also some of you guys comments are over the top, I mean it just tastes like chick peas really, you get used to it too. Only powder left for me to use so I'm very happy."

"Wow, what a total waste of a tenner. After reading the other very mixed reviews I made the mistake of getting this, thinking people were just making a fuss over the taste. I tried on its own, with orange, and even with tomato juice and tobasco (most successful). Even this didn't mask the taste - seriously, IT TASTES LIKE DEATH, and though very mixable, for some reason the powder sticks to every surface of your mouth and the hideous taste lingers. Full on gross, DONT BUY IT!!!\n\nThankfully I got plenty of raspberry whey too get by (YUM)"

"The taste is not as bad as many reviewers say. I mix a 30 gr. scoop in 250 ml of water or soy milk and I quite like it. Besides, this kind of proteins is very mixable. I'm very satisfied."

"As far as pea proteins go, this is pretty good. It mixes pretty well, and shockingly, the resealing zipper on the pouch actually works. As in, it does actually reseal pretty much perfect.\n\nTaste is...well. Its a pea protein. Mercifully it mixes pretty well even at the recommended dose, so a dash of orange juice masks the taste pretty effectively.\n\nI am using it as part of a recovery shake due to massively increasing my workload. It is much better than having nothing to prevent the next day aches.\n\nBasic opinion. If you are not liking whey, or are restricted in what you can take, or just want something a bit different, this is definetly a good option. Just be prepared to add a bit of something to make it easier to drink."

"soya protein was my powder of choice due to me being lactose tolerant but soya eaten in great quantity has so many health disadvantages, so i was looking at an alternative brown rice protein is no longer available and i bought some organic hemp seed protein, the flavor is just over powering for me and the high cost is off putting. i have been usiong pea protein for the past two weeks i blend three scoops with 100g of oats, one banana and a scoop of maltdextrin. i added two tablespoons of peanut butter for taste as someone mentioned in a previous review thanks, i quite like the taste just tastes of peanut butter no way would i classify the powder as rank but i do find a food blender is a must, you cannot mix these powders properly in a shaker this is the first time in a whilwe i have actually felt a difference with this powder the amino acid and protein content is ace and so is the price. highly recommended"

"Ok so I've only had a couple of shakes so far thus I can't say how good it is for recovery. Apart from that it seems to mix ok but you have to use some tactics or it'll end up lumpy. Easiest to use a blender but its a hassle cleaning it. The taste isn't exactly nice but its about mind over matter. Its just pea powder after all, nothing bad in there, tastes quite nutty like somone else said. This is all I can use since I don't seem to tolorate any other powders well so fingers crossed."

"ok iwas expecting the worst. been vegan 20 years, so have had my taste tested! SUNRISE??!! Anyhow this is worse than the soya powder in taste but you just gotta geta mega smoothie together. its not that much hassle with a hand blender. bananas blueberries, strawberries raspberries, the lot!gets a bit pricey but its all good sh*t,though there still is a strange almost plastic aftertaste. If your training and dont want animal products, then what else you gonna do?"

"In addition to me previous comments. I had been using soya protien for months and had seen very few results with it. I recently got a tub of this and a tub of the Brown rice protien. The results are astonishing i'm already starting to see growth and i'm lifting heavier weights with each visit to the gym. I wish I had started on this product 6 months ago and not wasted my time on soya protein. As for the taste, yes its not nice but it is bareable (unlike the rice protien which i've only been able to bring myself to drink twice since I bought it) This would have got five stars from me if it wasn't for the taste."
