Overall:

I bought the banana flavour which tastes great, mixes with water very easily and the nutritional profile is just great, well done Myprotein for another interesting product! The only cons is the sucralose!

I'm allergic to dairy so this was my only option, it's not bad takes a while to mix. When i put a shake in the fridge it goes solid sorta like jelly which is a bit weird for that reason 3 stars

Meat shake!

Overall:

Great idea and glad the prices aren't crazy compared to say...meat. But yeah, no beef taste (chocolate), tasted better than the coconut grit I was drinking before, so im happy with that, no grains (porridge) flavour you get with whey, however id say its a little too fluffy, as soon as it touches moisture that's it, it stays there... means its lumpy, always, and get any on your skin and its a pain to wash off. Aside from this, great idea, meat protein in a shake. Feels like its more natural then choffing whey all day.

Good value but mixability an issue

Overall:

Got this on a 25% discount offer, but for a beef protein powder it's good value at full price on here compared to other beef protein products. I went for strawberry flavour and wasn't expecting the nicest taste considering what it is, but was pleasantly surprised. Not as flavourful as the strawberry whey but not too bad and quite palatable, and I'd have no problem chugging down several shakes a day if necessary. Using a My Protein coil shaker and going for a double serving with anything from 500-600ml of water creates a foamy shake with a variety of lumps unfortunately. The foam dissipates after a few minutes but quite a few lumps of protein remain, with some of these sticking to the side of the shaker and meaning that I've ended up 'eating' my shake on the majority of occasions. Not the best really. In terms of results I can't really comment. I've replaced my morning whey shake with Carnipro for the time being and haven't noticed any dramatic improvements, though I'm currently trying to drop a bit of body fat and this endeavour is still going well enough. I'd recommend Carnipro if you want to try some beef protein powder or just fancy a change from whey. Just be prepared for the mixability issue.

Nice taste

Overall:

This is a nice tasting protein and would be my protein of choice out of all the non-dairy proteins. Ive not had it long enough to comment on its muscle building abilities but its very tasty. The only downside to this stuff is that its very difficult to mix smoothly in a shaker. Mine came out all lumpy with hard bits stuck to the bottom of my shaker which required lots of hot water to slowly soften it up to remove it. However I have started to use this stuff in my morning shake as i use a blender to make it, so it mixes up no problem and gives me a nice tasting morning shake. A great tasting product just let down by it's mixability, and is the best tasting non-dairy protein, although i've only tried vanilla flavour.
Goes Well With:
1 banana 7 whole eggs half a scoop of this stuff just for the flavour 200mls almond milk

Wasn't expecting the taste being so good - I actually like these shakes thicker so added more than suggested. A great product

Overall:

Taste: I bought the Chocolate flavor, its very lightly sweetened, BUT its not tastes like coffee which is a big thing for me, i tried about 5-6 chocolate flavoured protein and there was only 2 which is really tasted like chocolate not coffee (and it was from 1 brand) 4/5 Mixability: well its not the best, thick like casein and it got pretty much foam on it after shaking a minute also not mixes perfectly well,, and its also hard to wash it because its stick to the side of the shaker... 3/5 Profile: its excellent for those who cutting or simply cant take dairy stuff, with 87% protein content and nearly zero fat and sugar, best buy :) 5/5

Mixed feelings

3
Overall:

First impressions... solubility is a major issue. This is much different protein than any whey that I had tried so far. It clumps a lot, is very sticky, almost gluelike and tends to clog the honeycomb mesh in the shaker, plus it froths a lot. I mixed 60g of protein powder with 500ml of water and had major issued trying to disolve it. Then I waited for the froth to go down a bit, added another 200ml of water and managed to mix it a little better. I did this before heading to gym and two hours later, once my workout was done, the froth went down and most of the clumps had disolved, except the mess on the honeycomb mesh. Taste. I ordered chocolate, since I need something to silence the chocolate craving beast within. The initial taste is ok, but the aftertaste is a bit unpleasant. Once chocolate is gone, you are left with taste and smell of raw meat and it does not go away until you brush your teeth. The only bright side to this is that I will brush my teeth more often and thoroughly. Efficiency. We'll see. 2,5kg should last me 7 weeks, once I finish the cycle I will compare my results to those achieved with Impact Whey isolate and do a more detailed review. For the moment I would recommend this protein exclusively to people who think their training regime would benefit more from a hydrolised protein as post-workout instead of whey concentrate or isolate. If you are just after macros and taste, then sticking to whey might be a better choice.
Goes Well With:
Heavy lifting.
