"I normally berate people who complain about the taste of supplements, however this cannot be ingested on its own in a shaker. Agree with Arran Titchmarsh about microwave in water and season with chilli sauce, masks the flavour completely. i originally bought this as a supplement to take in first thing in the morning, however it's a bit too savory first thing. Great nutritional content and great price, so would definitely recommend."

"I've been using this product for the last two years - it never tasted great, and never mixed great, but as other reviews have stated, the nutritional profile is excellent. However, unfortunately this product has got worse and worse in recent batches - so much so it is unpalatable, I'm going to have to bin it, and will certainly stop buying it. Usually I buy all my products in the unflavoured variants, so taste isn't that important to me - but the only way you'll be able to drink this is if you have no taste buds and guts of steel!"

"Forget about mixing this as a shake unless youve got something in there that will cover up this products strong ""flavour"" lol... Unless cooked i find this product has a bad taste which entirely disappears after a few minutes in the microwave with water.Cook untill its all solidified and is like a chewy version of scrambled egg. I cook it with water in the microwave untill it looks like a rice cake, season with oregano or chili sauce and enjoy."

"Dont listen to ANY of these amatures who claim the taste is 'the worst thing theyve ever tasted' because it isnt if u mix in a blender with some oats, chocolate flavoured whey and milk. It tastes delightful and even if it wasnt so great the nutritional value speaks for itself! I would recommend this product to anyone."

"Ok, forget the standard mixes with fruit and things. You need to make this into something savoury. I've been mixing it with hot tomato soup. The heat cross-links the egg protein and makes effectively hot, minestrone-y scrambled eggs with croutons. Which is epic. If you have access to a blender it still blends up just fine, but if you have a kettle and a mug and a spoon (like me) you can still make this into something edible. Yeah, smells awful in the packet, but man-up and deal with it."

"First and foremost, the taste is horrible. I am a massive fan of eggs, i have 3 every morning, but sadly despite this having an 'eggy' taste it's a rank one. I always go for unflavoured with my supps and i'm not afraid of necking a horrible tasting shake but this stuff still sometimes makes me almost retch, and i've been using it for months now. Secondly, it doesn't mix well, you either get lumps on top (which when you swallow add to the gag reflex), or you shake like mad for a bit longer and it mixes slightly better but you get a froth on top. But, thirdly, egg protein is a brilliant source of amino acids with a brilliant profile, so if you can stomach it then it's a worthwhile addition to your diet."

"As a lot of people have mentioned below; this stuff doesn't mix well. After trying a few different things I've ended up blending it with a banana to form a paste and then throwing some milk in and blending it for literally another 2 seconds, any more and the milk froths too much. From a point of view of effectiveness you can't argue with egg protein and its better than adding another whey shake to the daily list."

I was quite sceptical about this product....but i must say that the taste is not bas at all...I mixed it with some instant oats (strawberry cream flavoured) and the result was a nice drink somehow even tasty! i would reccomend it to every lazy person out there who doesnt want to spend his day cooking eggs and wash dishes!

"First off let me say I am a huge fan of myprotein. I am not a huge fan of this product, however. The taste is not brilliant and the smell slightly worse. However, it is the mixabilty that annoys me. Cold water is useless and it leaves lumps in there that make me tempted to wretch as they pass your throat. Then it fuses with the shaker and you need to scrub it off. Warm water works slightly better, however, It really needs to be mixed up with another protein with flavour. Hard to comment on effectiveness as it's always been used with other protein and supplements for me. Good value, however."

"This is a great product and great source of protein. I have really noticed the benefits since using it over the past 8 weeks in size and recovery. If you remember why you are using it, for the protein not the culinary experience, then it is fine (but it does taste and smell rank so mix it with fruit) It does not mix by hand (foams up with water in a shaker and lumps in milk) however, mixes very well with either in a blender. I would carry on using this indefinitely, however, it is giving me the most horrendous toxic flatulence known to man or beast, and I’m fearful I will end up killing someone with the wrenching fumes, so under strict orders from my gasping wife and daughter, I will need to try something more intestinally and socially acceptable. I can’t argue, you know it’s all gone wrong when you are offended by your own trouser trumpets. Don’t let this put you off though, it is a great product. "
