Useful in the right circumstances

Firstly, I find reading these reviews hilarious. Why do people think this is a stimulant? The tingling that is associated has absolutely nothing to do with the actual performance benefit. There are many reasons that the 'tingle' might not be present, and its actually quite normal for this effect to diminish once your body's carnosine conc. increases. There is no benefit behind having beta-alanine directly before a workout and is therefore useless taken sporadically in so called 'pre-workout supps', which are only really useful for the caffeine content. I'm not saying everyone should be an expert in nutrition, but they should certainly have a reasonable understanding of the supplements they take and for what purpose. Beta-alanine taken correctly (6 g daily for the first 4 weeks, 3 g daily thereafter) will increase carnosine, and in turn, improve tolerance to very high intensity exercise although published evidence is only just in favour of this theory.

Works but scoop is not correct serving size

The product works well and as it should. I get the beta alanine tingles but one thing that really annoys me is that you get a scoop that's not even the correct serving size. On the label it tells you to only to put a third of the scoop in it. Why do I have to estimate my servings each time I take it? If you don't wanna drop dead with nausea, DO NOT take the full scoop. It is not a nice feeling and it lasts for 1 hour. If you can, you can measure it with an accurate food scale but why do we have to bother with that in the first place? Put the right scoop size and I'll make this 5 stars.

Juice, Energy drinks. A non-empty stomach.

Quality product one 5ml scoop does the job half hour before training on training days or 2.5ml morning and night on rest days.

Juice or just scoop it into your mush and swig a drink 

The "new" creatine

This is the one. I'm sure most of you know that this is in a lot of preworkouts but you probably won't be getting enough.. 3-5 grams per day approx 20-30 mins before workout - great for runners and cyclists - check the science too. Very happy, and it's cheap as chips. I feel like a train whilst running. So much power and there's no stopping! Tastes bitter on its own so maybe add to juice or top up your pw. Doesn't mix/dissolve in water so keep swirling (as your probably already do) Also, don't forget about the tingling. I like it, but for some it's too much.

Creatine and amino's.

Really gives a buzz!

I have recently started a strict workout routine and purchased some supplements that I have never used before and I have to say this really helps a lot! I take Beta Alanine in a shake with Total Nutri Greens (Tropical) and water half an hour before all workouts. You can feel your skin starting to tingle about 25-30 mins after you have consumed the shake, which means it's working and you can start your workout. The difference I noticed is that I can run for much longer and feel less fatigued and also weight training becomes much easier (at one point I though I must have been doing something wrong because I felt really great and could workout for way longer than before). Will definitely be purchasing Beta Alanine again after I finish my pack!

Good, tingles

Seems good so far, more of an energy kick during intense workouts. Early days as to the long terms benefits. Is it just me or does anyone else get the beta alanine tingles in their bell end? Maybe an almost citrus like taste in the mouth too during hard workouts from it? Seems a good and effective supplement all in all.

I don't know if it lowers my fatigue or what, but I can push much more during my workouts if I take this before the workout. I mix it with "Creatine Monohydrate" so I'm not sure if the combination of those two helps or just one or both but combined they work. :D

Beta Alanine is up there alongside creatine in terms of scientifically proven supplements. It’s almost unbelievable that you can buy something proven to increase efficiency by around 14%.. that’s a lot more reps and weight over the lifting lifespan of every lifter. Get bigger, stronger, faster. Shove this into a pre workout to bring the total to around 3.2g and following your workout, add another 2.5g into your post workout shake. If you get 176g into your body over 28 days, this is optimum for muscle growth; strength gains, endurance increases etc.
Goes Well With:
Creatine, pre workout, post workout, OFF DAYS! - make sure to take 6.3g every single day to make sure the carnosine keeps on coming!

Not sure of effectiveness yet as only tried it just over a week. Slight tingle if you use too much. Haven't seen any benefits yet but early yet. Mixes easily.

Overall:

I use this as part of my performance nutrition programme. I'm County Champion, Midlands Counties Champion and I'm now selected for an International by England Athletics. I'd say it works.
Goes Well With:
Creatine, L-Carnitine, Protein Whey, Vitamin D3, Omega 3 Oils and a well balanced whole food diet.
