    What is Beta Alanine?

    Beta Alanine is a non-essential amino acid and is the only naturally occurring beta-amino acid.

    Who is Beta Alanine Suitable for?

    Ideal for anyone participating in sports that require explosive actions such as sprinting, weight training or boxing and those involved in prolonged endurance exercise.

    Beta Alanine can cause a tingling and flushing effect on the skin. This is a perfectly normal reaction by the body and not harmful.

     

    The dietary choices of all our customers are extremely important to us. Whilst this product is manufactured using ingredients and processing aids suitable for the vegan diet, please note that dairy powders are also used within the same production facility and cross contamination may occur at very small levels.

  • Suggested Use

    Add your preferred amount of water or fruit juice into our shaker. Add 1.5g, shake and consume immediately. Use 2 times daily, preferably between meals for the first 4 weeks, then once daily thereafter.

    Note: We advise that all servings are measured using an accurate set of scales. While we make every attempt to provide an accurate equivalent measure using our Myprotein scoops, these are only approximate and are not a substitute for using a standardised measuring device.

Quality product one 5ml scoop does the job half hour before training on training days or 2.5ml morning and night on rest days.

Not sure of effectiveness yet as only tried it just over a week. Slight tingle if you use too much. Haven't seen any benefits yet but early yet. Mixes easily.

3-5g after working out is plenty for me and have made significant strength and muscle size gains since using it. Advise taking it alongside food due to minimise the tingling effect beta alanine causes. Will be taking everyday now for sure.

I have previously used other manufacturers. Specifically "The Protein Works", which I believe to be a higher quality product.

Pretty much tasteless can't really comment on the affect coz I haven't used it long so time will tell

Contains CarnoSyn®

Came in hard limos like sugar cubes and inCannot find CarnoSyn® on the ingredients which I was told is the most important one of all. Would be useful is MP would confirm if it's in there.

Tingle tingle little star

Solid no nonsense product of good quality. Mixes easily with anything. My only criticism is that the scoop it comes with it too big, you only need about a quarter of a scope at a time.

I mean it's good 6 weeks cycle is pretty long so you probably need more than 250g having a good enough effect on my early power but post 10 mins of high intensity workout, fade is tougher than normal

Having never taken this product before I was initially shocked by it's impact. When it kicks in you get an intense tingling, uncomfortable, like being stabbed by needles all over. I soon realised I was taking too much and at the wrong time. Take this just before a work out and when the tingling kicks in make sure you've started your session, usually takes about 10 -15 minutes. The feeling you get makes you push harder and the harder you push the less uncomfortable the tingling. Having read that back it sounds bizarre but it's exactly how I feel. It doesn't mix brilliant but it's not shocking. It also doesn't taste great but let's face it....it's not meant to be a milkshake. I'll be buying this again for sure, really noticed strong results. A more intense session with an added pump.

BCAA powder and a pre workout. I mix 1 part beta, 1 part bcca, 1 shot of pre work out (opposed to the 2 shots the mix recommends, 1 part whey protein and some coffee granules. Mix it up, throw it down you and have an incredible session!

Must have for pre-workout

My first review on the site, so please judge it accordingly. I've ordered several supplements from Myprotein, one of them was beta alanine. My regime contains a morning hiit and a resistance training late afternoon. Before the hiit training i take a serving of Mypre (which contains 1,5g of beta alanine). As for the resistance workout i take 3 grams (0.105 oz) along with cee as a pre-workout. Definetly take it with creatine (the type of it should be according to your preference), as the two work in synergy. The main reason to take it is to boost the carnosine levels in your muscles, which in turn slowes down the hydrogen ion buildup. This is important becase these ions limit the work you could accomplish through your training. It should be consumed in phases ( buildup phase and maintenance phase). The only side effect i've experienced is the tingling sensation along my face. It urges you to train so it works as intended. Definetly worth the price, if you need a good pre-workout supplement.
