Smoked variation used to be good, unflavoured not so much
4The unflavoured version is very "plasticky" and not very tasty but the smoked variety was ok.

Goes well with omelette
5U cant compare taste,texture with normal cheese but mix with omelette or put in sandwich and it is fine ...i use it in omelette and i cant complain ...super high dose of protein..

A Good Value Basic Cheese!
4I've been meaning to order some of this cheese for quite a while - with just 2% fat, this is an ideal replacement for anyone needing protein, calcium and cheese without ruining their dietary hard work. It's okay as a cheese - you won't be passing this around after a dinner party - but, it does the job in day to day meals and snacks. And it does it without the derailing effect of full-fat cheese. I'd recommend to try it at least - it is extremely mild, but I suppose that also makes it versatile. My only gripes are that I've only managed to order it once as it seems to be out of stock, and the one time I did get some, it had a very short use-by date on it.Goes Well With:Most day to day meals and snacks!

3I've been missing cheese so thought I'd try this as it's lower calorie. And it's fine I guess. The texture is rubbery, like an eraser...and there's absolutely zero flavour. Literally tastes like nothing (the plain flavour, haven't tried smoked). But I still put it in burgers, and have it on crackers from time to time when I'm craving real cheese, and it does the job. It melts ok, but just goes very tough.Goes Well With:In burgers, on toast, on crackers

If cheese was made of cardboard, this would be perfect.
2The taste of this cheese gets a solid 3/5 because it tastes like nothing. Not good, not bad so I'm going middle of the road on that score. The texture however is like nothing I've encountered before, it's very strange to cut and even more bizarre to chew on. Won't buy again.Goes Well With:The bin.

Avoid smoked
5Tried both normal and smoked, I can't recommend the latter unless you like the taste of smoke. However the normal cheese is really good once melted, or mixed into a sauce (makes a killer mac cheese, packed with protein). Although when melting it can end up a bit tough. On its own it's hard to grate because it falls apart.Goes Well With:Use for cheese sauce, or melting

5I was a little sceptical on purchasing this but thought it was worth a try. When I opened the packaging I must admit the texture was a little strange, personally, I think it tastes great. Goes Well With:On Veggie Burger, topped on pasta.

4This is the only place I can find smoked protein cheese This is a great find high in protein and low in calories and fat ...its absolutely fan great for cooking with or for eating on its own Definitely recommend this web site Always on time and great service well done

Cheese?
3Bought this as it was on offer and seemed really good from a nutritional stand point compared to standard cheese, sadly that's about all it's good for. Raw, or unmelted rather it's inedible as it's hard and tasteless and just crumbles away and has an off putting slightly transparent look. That said when it's melted its really nice and stringy and looks just like mozeralla (however you spell it) but again it's tasteless and a bit chewy. Would I buy it again? Possibly if it's on offer, I'd never pay full whack for it though and I would say it's only enjoyable to eat when mixed with normal cheese which does kind of defeat the object a little but hey hoGoes Well With:Other cheese and or lots of seasoning

Great for omlettes
5I purchased the smoked cheese on a whim before Christmas and just placed my order for another 5 blocks today. The consistency is more solid and less creamy than regular cheese but the taste is excellent. I try to have egg white omelettes most days for breakfast or lunch but they can end up being quite bland. Adding some of this cheese not only gives my omelettes a more substantial consistency but also gives a great taste. You can also butterfly some chicken and add some of this cheese before closing it over and grilling it for a lovely grilled chicken and cheese meal. Would recommend for anyone who loves a Bavarian smoked cheese but needs the macros to be better.Goes Well With:Omelettes, chicken.
