Awful New Formula
1I doubled up on my last order of this unflavoured collagen protein powder, as I've used it after every training session for a long time now. I usually had it with coffee and using my milk frother, it made a lovely, creamy latte. I have just opened my first newly designed packet and as many other reviews have mentioned, the powder is now yellow and has a strange curry-like smell. Much worse though is the horrible, bitter chemical taste, which has made this product basically inedible. Why has this formula changed and why is My Protein not doing anything about resolving the issues with their loyal customers? Personally, I would like to return the items for a refund.Goes Well With:Nothing now.

New formula tastes awful
1Like others I have purchased this product many times before and because the unflavoured version was pretty much tasteless. The new bacth however has the worse aftertaste of any protein I have had. It's smells and tastes just wrong and sour. I couldn't drink it and it's gone in the bin. Won't be buying again

Tastes great.
5Collagen is great for the skin, hair and all the connective tissue in our body. Hence I knew I wanted to have this daily. Great results after a month of use and tastes great! Happy there's no sugar

Newer version is poor
2My first unflavoured bag was great, virtually tasteless. The second bag has a definite unpleasant taste (along the beefy, bovrilly line). It’s not pleasant, and I won’t be reordering. It mixes okay but there are some lumps and these are unpleasantly chewy if you don’t just chug it down. Goes Well With:Definitely not coffee

Extremely bitter and inedible
1I wish I'd read the reviews before buying this! I usually buy unflavoured whey protein, so I thought this would taste the same, just with the addition of collagen. Unfortunately, it was so extremely bitter and completely inedible. I had one mouthful and couldn't manage anymore. I haven't tried to mix it with anything else as the taste is overpowering and disgusting, it would just ruin that too. It's such a shame as I went straight for the 2.5kg. Anyone want a spare bag of Collagen Protein Powder? Goes Well With:Nothing! It's not edible.

New flavour isn't the best
2Purchased unflavoured a few times now, the new red packaging collagen leaves a horrendous after tase. The old one was much better.

Very nice collagen
5I’ve read so many articles on collagen. So I decided to give it a try. It’s a great protein supplement top up in conjunction with my vegan protein which by MyProtein. I decided to get unflavoured versions due to the other views I read about the sweet taste. Blends well add thickness to my shake. Fantastic after my workout especially after a hard weightlifting session. Goes Well With:Blend with Myprotein vegan protein.

Disappointed
1"Unfortunately, my experience with Myprotein collagen protein powder has been disappointing. The powder doesn't mix well, leaving behind unpleasant lumps that require excessive shaking to somewhat dissolve, splits immediately and had to shake and drink straight away. Even after all the effort, the taste is overwhelmingly bitter, making it a struggle to consume. I had high hopes for this product as a first-time user, but the mixing issues and unpalatable flavor make it difficult to recommend."Goes Well With:Nothing

Quality Dropped Significantly
1The Collagen Protein unflavoured powder now tastes of some chemical, it is no longer a fine mixable powder and has a strange dense yellowish hue. It is undrinkable now when mixed in my coffee. Sad to see what was a fab product now unusable. Unhappy long term customer of this product!! Goes Well With:Nothing, want to return product for a refund or replacement with 2kg of the previous collagen powder.

New recipe tastes awful
1Ordered my second batch of MP collagen as I was happy with my first order which was completely unflavoured and did a good job for the price. I ordered a second batch at the beginning of April 2024 and I’m disappointed to say that it’s a very different product. The powder is now yellow and so bitter in taste that it makes it very difficult to consume. Mixing it with something else does absolutely nothing to get rid of the taste. That’ll be my last order of collagen from MP until they improve the recipe or better still, go back to the original. Goes Well With:Nothing
