1. Protein contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle

Meal Kit Components

  • 74g wheat protein
  • 44g seasoning

Ingredients To Add

  • 200ml cold water
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 x 400g tin chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp. tomato puree
  • 130g kidney beans
  • Tablespoon cooking oil

Optional (To Serve)

  • Rice
  • Coriander (chopped)
  • Lime wedges

How to prepare Vegan Chilli Non-Carne

1. Combine the seasoning and wheat protein in a large bowl, then add the water and mix well, leaving to hydrate.

2. Heat the oil in a saucepan over a medium to high heat and add the onion. Stir for a few minutes until softened.

3. Next add the tomato puree, chopped tomatoes, and kidney beans to the pan. Mix well and simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Add the vegan protein mix and stir for 5 minutes. Check the consistency and add a splash of water if required.

5. Serve with rice, a sprinkle of chopped coriander, and a squeeze of lime — then enjoy!

Our Vegan Chilli Non-Carne is also delicious in tacos or burritos, or on nachos.

Little overpriced for what it is...

It’s wheat protein and seasoning in separate packets and then shipped in an unnecessarily large box.  If they did this in 500g packets and bigger seasoning portions and priced it accordingly, it’d be a great Meal prep option if you wanted to make 4/5 portions and boil some rice as part of a meal plan, but in its current form, it’s overpriced, overpacked and no easier than using a spice packet and other meal alternative to make a meal.   Taste is a little bland, I added some additional garlic and chillis to give it a little more flavour, but the texture and consistency of the wheat protein is actually pretty good.

Very very good

Tried the new MyVegan Chilli Non Carne for dinner the other night, very very good! Easy to make, good portions (serves 2) and tastes great - you wouldn’t know this was a vegan meal at all.  Will for sure be buying again! Good job MP 👏
