The perfect crispy and crunchy breakfast base.

This protein granola beats shop-bought any day of the week. With 11g of protein per serving, this crunchy granola is the perfect companion for your morning yoghurt, porridge or even just on its own with milk. Packed with oats, nuts and loads of other good stuff, it combines great flavour with crispy texture.

Ingredients

Instructions

First, preheat the oven to 150C.

In a small bowl or cup, combine the melted coconut oil and maple syrup. Set aside.

Next, in a different bowl, add the oats, mixed nuts, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine, then pour in the oil and maple syrup mix and stir it through.

Add the egg whites to the mix (this is the key ingredient to make your granola clump together). Spread over a lined baking tray and then cook in the centre of a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.

Meanwhile, cut a Crispy Layered Bar into small cubes. Once the granola is cooked, remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before sprinkling the Crispy Layered Bar bits over the top. Using your hands, crumble and mix up the granola.

6.

Enjoy with milk, as a crunchy topping on yoghurt, or even just on its own as a satisfying snack.
