Tastes like you'd expect, mixes ok. But the most difficult thing about this product is that no information is given about how much of each 'green' is in the product, so it's hard to know how the nutrients are distributed. There's also no information about how this compares to eating raw vegetables or 'five a day'. So it's hard to judge 1) what's in the product and 2) why it should be taken alongside eating veggies.Goes Well With:vegetables
I, like gym rats everywhere don't have time to chomp through a truck load of greens every day to benefit from the measly 1g of actual nutrients it provides. Enter "Total Nutri Greens". From the moment that (hmmm) muddy looking pond water touched my lips I knew I’d found my salvation! No more chomping on grass for me ever! I immediately felt its superhero nutritional effects, from being able to bench an extra 200lbs in 1 week to having superb night vision, now i catch mice for my cat in the dark, she is so jealous. So in summary mixes well, looks like raw sewage, tastes like dried sprouts and you feel better after about a week’s use. Top Tip: Mix with flavoured protein (trust me on this one).
Good product but no way of knowing how much is in it and how many portions of vegetables it is equivalent to. This is really annoying. No detailed nutritional information means I can't tell what vitamins and minerals are in it and how much more vegetables I need to have in the day. So could be entirely pointless.Goes Well With:Trust
I have previously tried the unflavoured version of total nutri-greens and I absolutely hated it. It was a struggle to drink because of it's vegetable-like taste and powdery texture. But I was determined to continue because there are just too many benefits I'd be missing out on. I decided to try the tropical flavour and I wasn't expecting much - it smelt slightly better than the unflavoured version which was a good start. Three scoops with water in my shaker and it mixed extremely well. Reluctantly took my first sip - wow! I don't know how they've done it, but this tastes absolutely great. I mean, there's absolutely NO lingering vegetable taste and the powdery texture seems to have vanished. I'd go as far as to say it's really refreshing and something I'd actually just drink normally. I now look forward to my morning green drink!
The whey protein is good and works well with fruit in smoothies. However I have asked my Protein 3 times why do they use Palm oil in there products, STILL NO REPLY?. Palm oil is ranked as bad as Trans fats or Hydrogenated oils by the world health org. In addition all the damage done by planting Palm oil plantations such as: killing Tigers/ Orangutans and all manner of wildlife in the Far east this I have seen first hand in Indonesia & Malaysia.
Had both tropical and unflavoured. I personally just chuck the unflavoured in my gob and wash it down quickly- not for the faint hearted. Tropical, I mix with water, it taste like a standard chemical tropical flavour with an aftertaste like a spoonful of your garden, bearable and worth it for the nutritional content Goes Well With:A dose of Man up and a quick swig of water
I bought this product with the aim of increasing my intake of some of the nutrients you get from vegetables, and I'm incredibly pleased I did! The tropical taste is lovely, it mixes really well on its own or with other products (protein etc.), and I've noticed a decrease in fatigue, my mental awareness has improved. It's usually hard to tell if a product is working, but within 1.5 weeks I'm definitely noticing that I have more energy. Great product, am definitely going to buy again!Goes Well With:Water. Any other shakes.
be careful, there is gluten inside, sulphites, soy and 27% is filler soya lecithine
I use many of My protein products, however for Nutri Greens mixes and Purples mixes there is no % of each ingredient, why not? Are My protein hiding something as in Greens or purples contain more of cheaper filler than other ingredients, say for example 80% Carrot powder who knows?Goes Well With:Juice
It does exactly as required I work shifts so stopping for the amount of required fruit and veg is hard work . This stops that need really, mixes quickly and tastes alright with water. In honesty I don't care about taste nutrients are nutrients.Goes Well With:Anything but have mixed my creatine with it
I purchased this product a couple of months ago as I am someone who doesn't get anywhere near enough fruit and veg daily. Looked this up and thought "Perfect! A convenient way to consume fruit and veg in a drinkable form and it'll be relatively easy." That being said, I have yet to fully appreciate the benefits of this. Primary reason being the taste is not of this Earth. It is incredibly difficult to get past even if you try your best to chug it down as quickly as possible. That is probably down to my naivety of the blend of the various fruits and veg and expected some sort of heavenly taste so I applaud those who can down this with ease. Again, I have only truly tried this less than a handful of times so ratings giving are based off of early experiences. Expect to see updated review.
Smelling like a neglected fish tank, I wasn't really sure that I wanted to drink this, after mixing it in- but I was really pleasantly suprised, it has a kind of a "sea" flavor, that's similar to the taste of sea vegetables, nori, kombu, wakame and the like. However, it's too plain to drink by itself. Tried it with a bit of salt, not the best, but better. I won't really be drinking it like that, anyways- It'll be an addition to my morning shake. It seems pretty good for that.
Total Nutri-Greens powder is perfect to add to protein shakes when you want more nutrients and fibre in your low calorie diet. I use this twice a day. Keeps things "moving" and I feel confident I am getting what I need compared to protein powder alone. Turns everythjng dark green but combines well with latte and strawberry flavours of shake so the taste doesn't bug me. If you are sensitive to flavours you might be better with tablets...
Before buying this, I'd been taking wheatgrass shots. so I was expecting a potent flavour. I was not disappointed. I try to take this at least once a day to supplement the vegetables I eat. For ease, I mix it with a fizzy vitamin C tablet, the Superfood XS and the powdered BCAA, put it in a small shaker, shake the living daylights out of it then chug it down as quick as possible. Since I've started taking this wondrous concoction, I've noticed an increase in energy levels. I've just put in an order for my second pouch.Goes Well With:Superfood XS, vitamin C fizzy tabs, water
I have asked My protein over 5 times for the percentage of ingredients in Total Nutri greens no reply? They make a lot of good products however this makes me wonder are they hiding something?
Super, myprotien, needs to address the nutritional value. As after vegetables are dried in this way (like fresh veg in stead of frozen), it can loose a lot of the values. Please put confidence in this product with tests. Goes Well With:Water
I have the tropical flavour version and I was totally shocked that it didn't taste awful. I'm pretty picky with food and usually dislike most things but this I really liked. I have 3 scoops with my Bulletproof brain octane and the whey isolate from here in a shake and then i have the same for a mid morning snack. Really helped with my low carb/high fat was of eating. Goes Well With:Whey Isolate, Bulletproof brain octane (or and other C8/C10 MCT oil) or on its own.
I used to have guinea pigs and this tastes exactly how their food used to smell. I thought I could hack the unflavoured with water, however, if you're like me and don't like drinking compost water it's not for you- go for the flavoured. Saying that, I have had it in a smoothie with vanilla protein and raspberries and it is completely undetectable, apart from the fact that my usual pink smoothie is now dark brown/green. Good if you want to get greens in, but not with water by itself (mix it in properly as i tried to drink it without properly mixing it and got a mouth full of soggy guinea pig food paste0) Goes Well With:smoothies!
Only just started using Total Nutri Greens a few days ago so i can't yet comment on the expected nutritional effects. But i can tell you it tastes and mixes a lot better than another well known brand (beginning with B) i have tried before. It is also much better value for money- i got 55 servings of this one compared to 22 for the same price of the other brand. I mix with either a shake or fresh fruit juice. Although in juice it doesn't quite mix as well so needs 'chugging' down. Great for adding to meal replacement shakes such as a breakfast protein smoothie. Saves the chopping and prep of various veg for smoothies i used to have to do at stupid o'clock in the morning. Definitely use a flavoured protein to mix with if buying the unflavoured, as it has a slight hint of pond water about it.Goes Well With:Fruit juice (orange is best) Flavoured protein powder
Really like the taste & it has worked wonders on my digestive system & skin Win win !
