    The dietary choices of all our customers are extremely important to us. Whilst this product is manufactured using ingredients and processing aids suitable for the vegan diet, please note that dairy powders are also used within the same production facility and cross contamination may occur at very small levels.

  • Suggested Use

    We recommend adding 1 large scoop (30g) to 150-250ml of water or milk in a Myprotein shaker 30 minutes before and/or after your workout. Alternatively consume any time of day to increase your daily protein intake.

Great vegetarian option, taste is decent. Really fills you up and makes feel more energized. Wish to buy more given a chance.

Not the worst taste

To be honest, I didn't mind the taste. I have had some vegan protein powders before and that tasted like mud. I usually have a scoop of this with my weetabix cereal and I add a few raisins. Sometimes I have half a scoop with half a scoop of whey protein in water. Although the protein percentage may not be as high as others, I do feel stronger with this and with more energy during workouts

Weetabix cereal, banana smoothie and sometimes (if you're desperate for gains) just with water

Coffee Cure

After reading the taste reviews I was a bit wary but after a few days I got to like it. I get 1/2 a mug of oats in a bowl, cup and a 1/2 of water, put it in the microwave for 1 min let it stand and cool down (have your morning shower). The oats absorb the water while cooling for better porridge. Back in the microwave for 1 and 1/2 mins then add scoop of hemp, table spoon of mild flax seed, heap tea spoon off coffee, honey, stir it all up then add a chopped banana.

Perfect for My Needs

Being vegan and lactose intolerant I was looking for a good plant protein powder to help with my fitness. Hemp protein is definitely my favourite as it has a complete set of essential amino acids and it's very kind to my gut. It does have an earthy 'green' taste if you're having it on its own which I'm not particularly a fan of, but I blend it in a smoothie with 2 frozen bananas, berries, spinach, chia seeds, nuts and almond/cashew milk and it tastes great. Blending it mixes it well and I haven't noticed any issues with it floating or separating. Finished the first bag and about to buy my second one. Thanks!

Hemp protein

I love the stuff! I use it to make small pancakes with egg white and they taste a bit like buckwheat. Or it's nice added to muesli if I want to avoid artificial sweeteners.

The jury's out

I like the amount of protein the hemp protein contains but the taste is absolutely rotten. Granted I purchased this unflavoured (being the only flavour available) but I never imagined it to taste like this - it literally made me gag. I'm hoping it's something I can get used to like Spirulina....but I won't hold my breath.

Does the job but mixes badly with water

I bought the hemp protein because I'm dairy intolerant. I expected that it probably wouldn't mix as well as traditional whey proteins. It *really* doesn't mix well with water but mixed with almond milk it has a much better texture. I use it with the toffee flavoured drops and the taste is fine, I also tried it with raspberry drops but they aren't really to my taste. Not much to complain about really, it does the job and is perfect for those of us who can't do dairy - just be aware that it doesn't mix well in water but is great with other liquids/in smoothies etc.

Tastes earthy, but...

For those struggling with the texture and taste, try putting a tablespoon of crunchy peanut butter in. I also mix it with cashew or coconut milk too. Yes it leaves an aftertaste still, but just keep chanting "hmmm, peanut butter, hmmm, peanut butter" and it may be a bit more palatable. But so far so good for me, I've noticed there's high fibre in this and it doesn't leave me gassy like whey powders.

An Acquired Taste

Wanted to have a change from whey protein and something without added sugars. Opening the pouch the powder is an interesting green/grey colour. It smells earthy. It mixes pretty well with water and has a definite earthy nutty flavour. However it is quite gritty and sticks to the inside of your mouth, so you need a glass of water to help wash it down. Doesn't taste bad but it is definitely an acquired taste. Works well in a green smoothie with spinach, avocado, apple and coconut water. Might not be my everyday choice but worth a try if you struggle with whey.
