1. Protein contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle

Meal Kit Components

  • 74g wheat protein
  • 42g Seasoning

Ingredients to Add

  • 200ml cold water
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 x 400g tin chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp. tomato puree
  • 1 carrot (diced or grated)  
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil

Optional (To Serve)

  • Spaghetti or tagliatelle
  • Fresh basil
  • Vegan cheese

How to prepare Vegan Bolognese

1. Combine the seasoning and wheat protein in a large bowl, then add the water and mix well, leaving to hydrate.

2. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large saucepan over a medium to high heat and add the onion and carrot. Stir for a few minutes until softened.

3. Next add the tomato puree and chopped tomatoes to the pan. Mix well and simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Add the vegan protein mix, stir and heat gently for 5 minutes. Check the consistency and add a splash of water if required.

5. Serve with cooked pasta and garnish with a few basil leaves and grated vegan cheese to serve — enjoy!
