I've tried both flavours of the Skinny Protein Cookies. I'm not really a big fan of Lemon and Chia Seeds anyway so will review the Cranberry and White Chocolate cookies. Pros: - Only 194 kcal so they can be eaten as a snack. Perfect for women who generally have lower metabolisms than men. This compares this to the 320 kcal protein cookie which I could never justify due to the high energy of it - Delicious. The cookie tastes really great. I recommend heating it up in a microwave for 20 seconds but is also good cold. You feel like you're having a high sugar naughty dessert but there's barely any sugar in it! Guilt free! - High protein (25g) so it keeps you full for AGES. It's the perfect size too so you don't feel bloated after eating. Cons: - So far there are only 2 flavours. I'm hoping for a dark chocolate variety soon but as a brand new product it's brilliant. Nice one Myprotein! Goes Well With:Yoghurt
I've bought a box of these and woudn't give them to my worst enemy. If you're really content on eating a cookie and need the protein and have no tastebuds, these will be ok. Otherwise, stay clear.
These for me a really satisfying! They aren't your usual "cookie" texture, they are quite dense and have a gritty texture to them. Which I was expecting due to the height 25g of protein in n these cookies. I find them really satisfying when I'm after a quick sweet/sugar fix. I keep one in my gym bag for a nice snack. Always worth a try!
Very tasty, great for a quick protein boosting snack
The taste is Awful and a horrible consistency. They are absolutely nothing like cookies. It's more like a very very stale flapjack type thing. Really really awful. I couldn't even give them away to my friends after they tried them! If you can manage to force them down the macros are good :P Goes Well With:A protein shake. If you drink the shake and put the cookie in the bin.
Being a relative newbie to training and increasing my protein intake I decided to buy some food products with my Whey protein order and picked the dark chocolate and berry skinny cookies. The first time I tried it I found it really strange and wasn't too sure if I really like it but I gave it another go and now I can't get enough of them! Not as much protein as the normal cookie but I think the texture and taste is so much better and I'm on my third order of these! I actually got stressed the other day when I had to wait for them to come back in stock. Goes Well With:Fine on their own.
Got one of the cranberry & white chocolate cookies in the active women sample box and was keen to try it but was a bit disappointed. I love myprotein, hence 2 stars rather than 1, but it didn't taste like a cookie at all, just powdery and dry in your mouth. Could taste the cranberry but not the white chocolate, won't be having it again!
I couldnt be more disappointed with this product. The texture was to the same composition as play dough! It was extremely dry, tasted very artifitial and didnt remotely compare to a cookie. Goes Well With:Water to wash it down
Bought these cookies on recommendation of a friend. The cookies themselves are pretty large, and taste very artificially lemony and a tad overseweet. Thats not an overly bad thing, but if you are expecting M and S's finest you'll be disappointed. On a plus point they deliver 20g of protein but are light on calories and carbs so are perfect for a dietary boost of protein free of all the other stuff you may want to avoid. Recommended for the quality of the mix, protein and lack of carbs, if not for the basic, but not unpleasant taste.Goes Well With:coffee
The reviews of these were really positive so I was looking forward to having a high protein snack I didn't have to feel as guilty about so I ordered the cranberry and white chocolate .... have absolutely no idea what the other reviewers were going on about! The only way I can describe this is "Condensed calpol" a truly grim - maybe I would have had more luck sampling the protein brownie instead! Goes Well With:Nothing
I love the white chocolate cookies & have been buying a box or two a month for a while! Great when you have a sweet craving (I have a really sweet tooth!) or as a snack before a big gym workout to keep you going :) - My Protein PLEASE produce a double chocolate skinny cookie and have more variety like you do with your standard protein cookies :) Goes Well With:Milk, tea, coffee
Just horrible, taste and texture not good. Going back to the larger chocolate orange cookies.Goes Well With:Nothing
Looking for something to satisfy my 4pm sugar dip and fuel me for the gym. The reviews of these were mixed, leaning towards good. Be a sceptic not an optimist (like me) and order a sample. They smell great. I was hopeful. They taste like a stale shortbread biscuit that has been dropped in lemon floor cleaner. Texture resembles this too. Stodgy, damp and cardboard like. The lemon flavour could be Flash floor cleaner it's that chamical like. It's only saving grace is the white chocolate chips. I tried microwaving it as the above said. Nope. Can't do it. Way too artificial. Like eating a urinal cake. I'll stick to an apple/banana and some PB. Disappointed! The other sweet treats are mega calorific. Maybe MP could buy back boxes to use as samples in exchange for credit? I'd happily pay the postage back. Goes Well With:Lemon Pledge, Lemon Cif, Toilet Duck.
Lemon and chia seed flavour is awful, synthetic sweetener, bitter, barely any lemon flavour. Texture is gross, really powdery, heating makes them plasticky and dunking makes them instantly dissolve. I couldn't even eat half of one Goes Well With:The bin
From reading other reviews, I decided to try these warmed up - definitely a good choice. They make a brilliant afternoon 'pick me up'. Heating them up removes the usual stodge of a regular protein snack. Would definitely recommend. Would taste great with custard..although that may oppose the 'skinny' aspect of these. Goes Well With:custard
Got the lemon and chia seed one and it's incredible, tried the orange chocolate normal protein cookie before and didn't like it and it was very high calorie so just wasn't a fan but this one is glorious and if you put it in the microwave for 20 seconds it's amazing and goes into this kind of cookie dough form its so so good! Love the lemon flavour will be buying again. Also it has white chocolate chips in it which was a great surprise, so yummy!!!Goes Well With:Microwave for 20 seconds
If you try these expecting them to resemble the dense unhealthy goodness -- that is, the regular cookies you'll be in for a shock. I bought the white chocolate and cranberry version, preferring this over both the non "diet" options (that stand at a hefy 300 something calories) and the alternate chocolate one. The texture isn't too bad, it's quite similar to a lot of protein-foods. Which I personally really like -- the chew seems to make them last longer. However, there's a slight powdery-ness that you don't get with protein bars, and you can't taste the white chocolate in it. For the nutritional value they're pretty good though, which is the whole reason I considered them in the first place. Not sure whether or not I would buy them again, maybe for the nutritional stand-point I will. Goes Well With:Tea, coffee, by itself.
Great flavour and texture, not dry unlike some other brands. Good macros, Can have a treat without the guilt! Goes Well With:Cuppa tea/coffee
Macros are OK, but to be honest there are better tasting things out there... (Carb kills, PhD smart bard etc.) Good price though!
Probably the worst tasting peice of food I've ever eaten.
