What is organic Cacao Powder?
Originating from the tropical climates in South America, the Theobroma Cacao tree was sacred amongst the Mayans and Aztecs. Produced by organic growers in Peru, Cacao beans embody a source of minerals. Harvested as pods, the raw beans are selected and fermented to reduce their initial bitterness. After cleaning the dried beans in natural water, they are peeled and their core extracted to be broken into “nibs”. These are ground into Cacao paste. The fat from the paste is extracted from the solid part and the residue dried and finely ground into Cacao powder. Organic Cacao Powder is certified organic by the Soil Association under the code GB-ORG-05.

Exactly what was promised! Also great value, flavour and consistency! Personally love it as a hot chocolate substitute or with a little boiling water to create syrup for pancakes. A small spoonful in a coffee shake creates a mocha option also! Goes Well With:Protein pancakes to give a little contrast kick
I made the mistake when first used this to add 10 grams, which just ruined everything as it tasted too bitter. Now I just use a teaspoon or two & taste before adding more. It's so much more palatable now & I enjoy the dark chocolate taste. Goes Well With:Chocolate Angel Delight, porridge & weetabix
The delivery was prompt and effortless. The packaging is brilliant, resealable pack. The powder mixes better in a blender, but tastes great and I am assuming it is providing me with the nutrients it promises.Goes Well With:Oat milk, nutmeg & cinnamon.
Great price and what more could you want. Blends well in my shakes Goes Well With:Vegan protein blend shake
Probably the nicest cacao powder I've tasted. and yes cacao powders do get bad reviews for being bitter, but Myprotein Cacao Powder doesn't have even a hint of bitterness making it go well with everyday eating. Obviously it doesn't taste exactly like chocolate but it's something different and worth trying. 10/10 Goes Well With:everything. Protein shakes. Breakfast. Toast. Cakes. Muffins.
A great way to make protein shakes taste better. I always opt for the unflavored option with any type of protein shakes and add some cacao powder for taste. Also good source of iron. Goes Well With:Protein shakes
Very good product.Goes Well With:Prefer in its own or in shake.
I always buy this powder from my local health shop and you can't compare the prices. Excellent value on this site!Goes Well With:Milkshakes.
Quick delivery, excellent taste and quality Goes Well With:Smoothies, baking
Great value for money and is such a versatile product to use in smithies drink or cakes. So much better to add this to a smoothie as is all natural and healthier than other choco substitutes. Goes Well With:Smoothies
Mixed ok. Quite a strong taste. So you don't need a lot. Goes Well With:I mixed it with frozen cherries and ice and my protein elle chocolate shake.
Best value cacao powder I have found to date and still the same great taste.
This is great quality cacao and knowing this is soil association organic is all the better. Another very versatile food that I am delighted MP has started stocking. I got this at a really silly price when the 30% offer was running and I have never seen this anywhere at that price. Absolutely brilliant in protein smoothies - especially to counteract the overly sweet taste of many of the flavoured protein drinks available. I'm not really a fan of sweet anything, so this suits me perfectly. Some describe this as a little bitter, but that is what cocoa without additives tastes like! If you are really that bothered by it, just add a little honey to your shake. Perfect for baking too. Thanks MP.Goes Well With:Protein shakes and baking.
So nice - used in chia seed puddings and nut & date brownies - mixes brilliantly. Would definitely recommend.
Bought this as an add on to my usual order for my partner to use as a chocolate replacement in her baking. We couldn't get the flavour to work for us in anything we made as it is quite bitter. Some real recipe research is required to make the most from this product, unfortunately it has taken the best part of half a packet to figure it out.
