Milk Protein Smooth is a milk protein concentrate derived from ultra-filtered skimmed milk. This milk protein is a source of native casein and whey proteins in the same ratio as found naturally in milk (casein 80% and whey 20%). Milk Protein Smooth provides an extremely smooth consistency with an extremely clean and neutral taste.
Due to the production process, no instantising agents are required to provide the excellent mixing and consistency of Milk Protein Smooth. Milk Protein Smooth is extremely versatile; it can be consumed in various forms including; protein shakes, smoothies and yoghurts. Milk Protein Smooth is absorbed slowly by the stomach allowing a tapered supply of amino acids to the muscle over a prolonged period of time. This makes Milk Protein Smooth the ideal protein supplement for between meals and before bed. During sleep, the body is normally starved of nutrients as it is impractical to consume food. Milk Protein Smooth is 78% Micellar Casein, the rest is made up from whey protein and bioactive proteins.

'Milk Protein Smooth' (unflavoured, 4kg) is absolutely THE BEST weight training/bb food/milkshake available! Although, seemingly, not as good value as 'Impact Whey Protein' (and with a slightly lower protein content) the slower digestion of the (80%) casein means that your muscles are slowly fed a constant stream of protein, thus far less is excreted and wasted (when taken with semi-skimmed milk 3x2 scoups a day, or more). The milk-derived powder also means ALL your amino acid requirements are met. I live off this stuff and the soothing, clean digestion of the product makes me wonder why people with IBS aren't trying it. As for taste, it is the nicest too - (unflavoured is a must, or you're paying for sugar and additives) it makes semi-skimmed milk taste like cream and I always drink it straight down (300ml x3). Although it may not mix quite as well as 'IWP', as it froths slightly, a 700ml shaker easily solves that without a problem. This is a great product that mixes well and the chololate one actually tastes like chocolate unlike other brands I have tried. Well recommended.
Yes it has a slightly (emphasis on slightly) chalky consistency but that's the nature of casein based products. But it mixes far better than ON or reflex or any of the industry majors' products and tastes better too. The macro breakdown is perfect and last but not least it's far better value than the major brands. Goes well with xantham gum.
The best source of protein I have tried (from whey to pure casein to vegan to beef). So here is how I make perfect chocolate mousse with Milk Protein Smooth. Unflavored Protein Smooth (1 scoop) 2-3 teaspoons of dark cocoa powder 1-2 micro scoops sucralose 100-150 ml semi skimmed milk (1.5% fat) 100 -150 ml water mix with a spoon well until it is a thick substance with no lumps on it (you have to find the right amount of liquids so it s not too watery or too thick). place it in a bowl on your fridge. after 15 minutes it is ready. and tell me how perfect this mousse is. Best part: max 150-200kcal 80% of the calories are protein (25-30 grams) tons of antioxidants from cocoa. only 7 grams of carbs and sugars (from the milk) and 2 grams of fat Seriously could eat this stuff the whole day, every day.
Milk Protein is a more recent addition to my supplement stack and I don't know how I managed without it. It provides a slow release of protein hours after drinking, perfect for pre-bed consumption. The powder tastes fantastic (banana) and goes well with other flavours; I mix my Banana Milk Protein with Natural Chocolate Whey and it tastes amazing! The mixability is not great as it seems to remain powdery no matter how long and hard I shake it, there are no lumps, just a slightly grainy 'dry' texture.
stay away from banoffe its vile, to be fair most the flavours are but i love raspberry so sample the flavours first. when i first used this it was a pinch and guzzle but when you get used to the chalky casine in it your fine. definatly see results from this especially the morning after a hard workout.it looks expensive but 2.5kg lasts you about 2-3 months.
I find milk protein smooth to be an effective muscle building protein due to it including a mix of slow releasing casein based protein and faster releasing whey protein. The chocolate mint has been the best flavoured option to try, this is slightly thicker mixing than whey protein which makes for a more filling shake, i feel this works well in between meals and even pre bed, it also mixes well with maltodextrin, oats and peanut butter to make a DIY style mass gain shake. Mixes well but extremely frothy, tastes like chalk, texture like chalk. Blended with oats and milk and left in fridge for next day, turned into a thick almost solid yogurt like substance (never an issue with whey). Don't be put off by the doesn't mix well reviews!! At first I thought the reviews saying it was 'chalky' when mixed where correct, and was a bit disappointed, although I found it 'chewy' rather than chalky! However, having left this standing for 10-15 mins after first shaking it mixes completely, and produces a great tasting, smooth and creamy drink. I now mix this before a workout rather than after and it's great. I was looking for something that would slow release protein as well as give me a hit when needed, but so many of the complex powders are full of sweetners, which I hate the taste of. This is the best tasting unflavoured product I've come across, and I find it far easier to digest than whey powder on its own, which often leaves me feeling sickly. Taste and mixability of the product seem irrelevant, however but I must of course objectively evaluate the qualities of these properties as requested, despite fears that such evaluations would give negative impressions of the product. I'd like the product to be continued as long as possible, as I am a long-term user. The taste of the product is relatively neutral, there is nothing especially good or bad about it, which fits my purposes perfectly. It certainly won't overpower any flavoring that you might want to use along with it. Mixability is not the best. However, I would never recommend one to consume only milk protein in a shake, for instance, but to use some carbohydrate source along with it. Such mixture which will also provide excellent mixability, as the different ingredients collide in the shaker. This is a basic milk protein product. Milk protein has been shown in studies to produce more anabolic effects than whey protein. Thus, it is my base protein in my regime. It is a high-quality product, it gives me zero milk-related side effects, that I get from other milk products. 5 stars overall. Tip: Mix yourself the best mass gainer / in-between meal possible: a portion of milk protein, along with some oats. Can't get better than that. recently just back into training and was suffering terrible DOMS bought this and recovery is now excellent and what I used to be like,,, does work well if you eat correct etc.. I only gave a 3 for flavour as I buy all my powder unflavoured I like to get every last drop without any fillers and il say it mixes well with water but tends to leave a lot of bubbles in your shaker when finished. BUT I just mixed it with milk tonight and it was excellent no frothy bubbles and tasted just like milk.. this stuff is good value for money and certainly better than cooking steak every night :)Goes Well With:milk

Tried banana, vanilla and strawberry smooth - they taste like nesquick! I don't drink them usually, but instead add them to soft cheese (quark) or Greek yoghurt for a low-calorie protelicious (delicious and protein-rich) snack. Can also add to uncooked oats and mix with water/milk to make tasty cold porridge. The key here is the soy lecithin - it thickens up the mixtures, giving them more bulk and therefore making them more filling - perfect for cutting! Goes Well With:Yoghurt, Quark, Oats, Milk, Water
Excellent before bed drink, or as I prefer it as a snack mixed with low fat natural yoghurt and nuts. I can recommend this product because of its casein content and only downside is that when mixed with anything its really thick.
This product is marketed as being easy mixing, but it has a horribly chalky mouthful, unless you mix it and then wait for an hour to drink it. I think it is simply a false promise and I will not be buying again.
This product isn’t the best when compared to others. I personally found it to be very bitty and didnt have a very nice taste. The Strawberry smooth has a strong flavour and is a bit over powering. Not really too impressedGoes Well With:Milk
Love all myprotein products. Except this, does not mix well. AT ALL! Instant mud. Can't imagine what it would be like digested. Really wouldn't recommend this product.
Mixed with half water, half milk and it mixed up perfect...no clumps of powder like with other brands. Very impressed. Bags could do with better seal like with many other supp's though
