    What is Dextrose?

    Dextrose, also known as a glucose or corn sugar, is a sweet tasting carbohydrate.

    What are the Benefits of Dextrose?

    Carbohydrates contribute to the recovery of normal muscle function after highly intensive and/or long lasting physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle. * The beneficial effect is obtained with the consumption of carbohydrates, from all sources, at a total intake of 4 g per kg body weight, at doses, within the first 4 hours and no later than 6 hours, following highly intensive and/or long-lasting physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle.

    Who is Dextrose Suitable for?

    Dextrose is suitable for a wide variety of sports athletes. Carbohydrates can be used before and immediately following training sessions for best effect. Dextrose would be ideal for team-based sports or endurance events.

    The dietary choices of all our customers are extremely important to us. Whilst this product is manufactured using ingredients and processing aids suitable for the vegan diet, please note that dairy powders are also used within the same production facility and cross contamination may occur at very small levels.

  • Suggested Use

    Carbohydrates contribute to muscle recovery† after high intensity and/or endurance exercise. Therefore in order to replenish muscular glycogen stores we recommend adding 1 large scoop (50g) to 150-250ml of water or your favourite beverage in a Myprotein shaker within 4 hours of exercise. †Beneficial effect is obtained through consumption of carbohydrates, from all sources, at a total intake of 4 g per kg body weight, at doses within the first 4 hours and no later than 6 hours of exercise.

Great solution for the carb conundrum

I like to consume carbs after workout but dislike the cooking & prep time. Dextrose powder provides a great, easy to use solution to intake high quality carbs without having to wait. It also tastes great and would highly recommend.

Good shtuff

I have difficulty putting on weight so I started drinking dextrose mixed with protein powder while in the gym as well as my usual post-training protein shake. Two scoops of protein powder mixed with approx. 1 g of dextrose per kg body weight. Have put on 3 kg in the past four weeks.
