Dextrose, also known as a glucose or corn sugar, is a sweet tasting carbohydrate.
Carbohydrates contribute to the recovery of normal muscle function after highly intensive and/or long lasting physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle. * The beneficial effect is obtained with the consumption of carbohydrates, from all sources, at a total intake of 4 g per kg body weight, at doses, within the first 4 hours and no later than 6 hours, following highly intensive and/or long-lasting physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle.
Dextrose is suitable for a wide variety of sports athletes. Carbohydrates can be used before and immediately following training sessions for best effect. Dextrose would be ideal for team-based sports or endurance events.

I use this during my cutting phase. Caloric deficit causes low energy and dizziness during intense workouts. Especialy while training big muscle groups (legs, back). This product brings energy into your blood instantly allowing you to lift more weights and shorten the rest intervals. It also prevents muscle breakdown. Found this product great to go with my whey protein post workout...helps keep the calories coming in to put on mass. Been taking it coming up 2 weeks combined with a great whole food diet and training regime...myself and friends have noticed a difference in size already. It is quite sweet so will sort out a sweet tooth. Definitely recommend this product to gain mass.
Good energy levels with no crash afterwards. Taste could do with a little work, but hardly noticeable when mixed with Protein or Whey. I use it before any major exercise, and sometimes as a 'During' drink such as cycling.Goes Well With:Just about anything with a little flavour

This product was recently used for testing swimming performance following the ingestion of a 500ml drink containing Dextrose. the feedback from the swimmers was very positve regarding the taste and no after taste, and it was more refreshing than some of the sports drinks available in shops.Goes Well With:Only used it with water and sugar free squash.
Dextrose is very sweet. I added 50g to my bottle during training, it made me feel very awake and lively for half an hour or so, then by the mid-way mark of my workout the effects on my body where very dramatic as it made me feel extremely tired. I wanted to just sit down, so I couldn't complete my usual hour and a half training plan. It's a very odd product, it's basically white sugar and 10 times effective, then say a red bull energy drink. It's mainly for short burst workouts / 30 minutes. Goes Well With:whey and juice
Dextrose is one of my favourite no thrills carb sources, it is basic and has a nice sweet taste making it a great replacement for sugar and converts directly to glucose which is stored as glycogen in the muscle tissue which aids in performance and recovery, this is on par with maltodextrin and i find that the two products are interchangeable and can even provide a slight synergy when used in combo with each other especially to boost muscle recovery and growth after a workout when combined with impact whey. I have difficulty putting on weight so I started drinking dextrose mixed with protein powder while in the gym as well as my usual post-training protein shake.
