This is the first product I ever bought through the MyProtein brand - it was the original creatine monohydrate not the elite - the batch tested one. Both are the same, I simply moved to the Elite line to be extra safe when doping tests are carried out - I would want to be at ease knowing I'm doing everything in a clean way. Back to the Creatine, I've taken this for years now and I believe what I say makes sense. This is used for explosive sports, I train track and field and it does help in getting those explosive start and sets carried out the way you want them to be done - doesn't mean one s going to get all beast mode and destroy track times and gym pb's - that is not it's purpose. The way I supplement myself with this is the way many do I believe - loading phase of 5 days taking 20g a day (10g before session and 10g after session for example) and then 8 weeks of maintenance period taking 5g after the sessions. I usually stop for a week or so and restart the cycle depending on the period I plan for it to start and finish. I have always bought the unflavoured one as I mix it either with BCAAs or protein shake and those normally would always be flavoured. I used to also take it on it's own with water - the taste is very bearable - nothing like the unflavoured BCAA I thought it was expired the first time I opened the packet literally - so Unflavoured Creatine Monohydrate is pretty ok! I have been taking this supplement for a couple of years now - So I feel what I say makes sense. Creatine Monohydrate is taken to increase the body's ability to produce energy rapidly. With more energy, you can train harder and more often, producing faster results - this does not mean every time I take a dose I turn into Hulk and go Mental in sets - however one may notice the difference if you carefully study the improvements in your times and reps through trainings. Now I am a sprinter and creatine works well with me as its most effective in high-intensity training and explosive activities. This includes weight training and sports that require short bursts of effort, such as sprinting, football, baseball whatever - if you are undecided its best to contact a nutritionist for more info. Creatine does work - it is a proven fact and don't bother believing those who say it doesn't. I do RECOMMEND taking this with a 5 days loading phase (20g/day) then moving to a maintenance phase of 8 weeks (5g/day) and after that stop for 1/2 weeks for it to leave the system and then restart the cycle. I buy this unflavored as I mix it with my Vanilla taste Protein shake and hence won't taste its sourness however I take it in a glass of water plenty of times and it is NOWHERE as near to how bad unflavored BCAAs taste so buying this unflavored is Ok ;) Hope this was helpful Goes Well With:Anything
This creatine monohydrate is excellent, it's easy to mix and the best I've had in terms of flavour also..I was sceptical before when taking creatine that unflavoured wouldn't be very nice so I tried a variety of flavours, it turns out that unflavoured is the best in terms of taste as well as price. As well as this the effects from this product are good and the results can be noted fairly soon after using the product. So all in all this creatine monohydrate in my opinion is one of the best out there on the market, and at a very affordable price also. Goes Well With:Whey protein after a workout
Haven't been using this supplement long, I mix it in with the micellar casein. The creatine does leave a chalky taste, however I mix the both with milk and nesquick milkshake powder, works for me. I couldn't drink this plain. Goes Well With:Milk and nesquick milkshake powder.
It does what Creatine does. I cycle on and off of creatine and I always notice the difference in strength when I'm on it. It mixes well, and doesn't taste of anything. I take it with my whey protein shake with skimmed milk immediately post-workout to improve absorption in to the body and recovery. Just make sure you drink plenty of water when you do take it. Overall 10/10. Goes Well With:Whey/Casein protein shake. Skimmed milk.
Only taking this product for a weak, I have already reaped its benefits. It is a superb product, and I would highly recommend it. Goes Well With:Water, fruit juice and protein shakes.
