Alpha lipoic acid powder
Excellent value for money and very cost-effective. As for accurate weighing of doses I have found it easier to weigh out the powder on an electric scale and to use size "O" capsules in a filler tray of 50 capsules to obtain a consistent dose. Therefore 5 gms would give approx 100 mgs ALA per capsule, 10 gms would give 200 mgs etc. I particularly like to add the ALA to Milk thistle seed and Ginkgo leaf powders to give an additional therapeutic effect to memory/ brain circulation and liver function. I am a practicing professional Medical herbalist and also a power lifter and weight lifting coach so the quality of my diet and supplements are of vital importance to me and also my patients and those athletes I coach. MYPROTEIN products fit the bill! Highly recommended

The taste is really unpleasant, I've since switched to caps (4 per day), at first the burning sensation is still present but seemed to disappear after a few days use, proof of how effective these bad boys are can b seen in ur turds, HOLY MOLEY !!!

The Alpha Lipoic Acid ALA has a burning taste when mixed in a glass of water. I cap it ad just use 600mg for appetite suppression.

Myprotein Alpha Lipoic Acid ALA needs to be drunk quickly. Also I would recommend drinking cranberry juice immediately followed, this reduces the amount of burning.

"It is worth noting that ALA is used for heavy metal poisoning as it binds to metals, if someone is metal toxic without knowing it and they take ALA they will become very sick unless they know what they are doing with it. I take it for this reason on a very specific schedule and dosage. For me it is an essential component of my recovery."

"Price effective solution as part of your liver protection bundle, if you can afford it buy the capsules. Best to mix in a drink as it tickles the throat and is quite hard to ingest without coughing."
