What is Ultra Colostrum?
Ultra Colostrum is a bovine derived food supplement which contains proteins, immunoglobulins (Ig), vitamins, amino acids and other growth factors (IGF-1 & 2).
What are the Benefits of Ultra Colostrum?
Ultra colostrum is collected from the cow in excess and is only taken once the calf has received a full feed. The care of the infant is the producer's foremost consideration, whereby its needs always come first. The farms used for the collection of our colostrum are heavily monitored and governed by the local government and dairy industry.
Ultra Colostrum is freeze dried to ensure none of the essential nutrients are compromised. This thorough process ensures Ultra Colostrum is a fresher and more nutrient dense product when compared to lesser, spray dried colostrum collected over the first 48 hours after birth. Ultra Colostrum has high levels of Ig, standardised to 30% Ig.

Absolutely loved the 1st batch but the second wasn't has good. It had small white flakes floating around when mixed upGoes Well With:Diet whey protein
I had seen colostrum advertised for years previously but never really gave it a thought until recently, after doing a lot of research I was astounded by what I read and when I started dieting I decided to give it a go, I have 10g with my morning shake and 10g with my bedtime shake, I would love 10g post training but then it becomes to expensive but I can see this happening in the future!, it's a lovely creamy yellow colour and mixes perfectly, It's to early to say if I've noticed any effects yet but I really rate this stuff, I feel good taking it if that makes any sense and will continue to include it in my diet as a staple! Goes Well With:Whey, misceller protein, oats
Colostrum tastes odd but so do a lot of sports supplements. Of course, I'm not attracted to the taste of colostrum (I'm never quite sure why people insist on slating products on the grounds of taste?!!) but am attracted to its benefits. Every time I'm on the stuff I swear my muscle recovery rate is better (an important factor when you're approaching your mid-30s like I am) and it seems to help with muscle tone retention in periods when I'm not training as much (like now during the tennis season). Normally, all this would be out of reach due to the expense of colostrum but not with My Protein. GMP quality at knock down prices = value for money in my book!! Goes Well With:Oats and whey protein. Complimenting products in terms of training performance and recovery but also ideal to mask the slightly strange creamy taste and slightly gritty texture all colostrum seems to have.
My first batch of Ultra Colostrum (500g) was excellent... just received a new batch (250g) and I'm sorry but this is not colostrum! The texture, smell and taste is completely different. I won't be ordering this again.
Will definately be buying this again! This product was recommended by my close friend and fellow gym parter after he had some quick gains. 4 weeks in and the results are there. Mixes smoothly and is ideal for a quick post-workout shake.Goes Well With:Impact Whey Protein
I have tried this product because I heard it was good for muscle growth fat loss and well being. It has exceeded in all categories and shall be buying this from you regularly due to its cheap price and effectiveness. Goes Well With:Water, protein whey
As with the earlier reviews, had 250g bags of colostrum over the past few months that were yellow and tasted creamy once mixed with water. Received a 250g bag this morning and I'm sure it is not the same product. White, chalky and tasted like unflavoured whey protein. Also the bag was filled to the max and I am unable to close it. I have used colostrum from many sourced for many years and it has never looked or tasted like this, never!
The first few batches I bought were golden and sandy, now it's cut rubbish, floury white chalky rubbish. Typical corporation cheating people putting profit before quality...this is what we put into our BODIES!!! How dare you? Answer us now or you will loose loyal customers and I will do so by spreading the word to boycott myprotein. I'm starting to wonder if their protein powders are fake too, I think i might start buying REFLEX products
After being assured of a new batch following 2 bad batches of colostrum... My new bag arrived and it was obvious it was more of the same. The bag looks ready to explode as other reviews have also indicated its gone from a golden yellow powder that is sticky and mixes well to a bulky chalk like powder that does not mix with water or milk. It even had a bleach aftertaste. Makes me question whether the supplier is even providing my protein with colostrum at all! It would be interesting to see what the analysis says. I did notice an improvement with the good batches in terms of immunity and recovery. It's fair to say that is not apparent at all with the last 3 batches.
My cat has lymphoma and was losing weight rapidly. I have been giving him a teaspoonful of colostrum powder mixed with warm water which he laps up each morning. Since I have been doing this (6 weeks) he has put on 40g, has an improved appetite and seems better able to cope with his other medication. Reading the more recent comments I think this was an earlier batch - it is pale yellow, speckled and mixes easily with water.
