People complaining about the taste of these but I got the chocolate & it tasted fine. The quantity on the instructions is a bit unclear so I asked MyProtein about this. Apparently 1 scoop is meant to be 25g, so a serving is 2 scoops totalling 50g, however if you weigh it you will discover a full scoop can easily be around 45g. So if you’re counting macros & need to be accurate I would suggest you weigh out the powder & don’t just go by scoop size or you could easily eat double the calories.
Goes Well With:
Banana & peanut butter.

Eggy & chewy

Just tried these for the first time in unflavoured variety. First off, understand that I'm a big pancake fan. I cook pancakes several times a year, have been for 25 years, I'm proud of my pancakes! But I like mine the traditional old fashioned British way, big but thin, and light. Think more like a crepe, none of this small but thick and puffy American nonsense. Now on to the MP pancakes.... I mixed 50g of powder with 100ml of water in a Magic Blender cup, put the lid on and shook it up. Went together OK, but not perfect, so I blended it just a little bit. Just a few quick squirts to help it mix. It was then nice and creamy. I got my teflon frying pan reasonably hot (it's in good condition, typically nothing sticks to it), used some olive oil, and poured on half the mix. It cooked very quick, much quicker normal pancakes, probably only needed like 20 seconds on the first side (and maybe that was a wee bit too much) and then I flipped it and did like 10 seconds on the other side. Well, I say flipped, but unfortunately it had stuck a little bit around the middle. Not too bad mind, not the disaster some people have described in their reviews, but yes they do stick somewhat. I then finished off with some chocolate orange spread (Jim Jams brand, really nice), rolled it up and..... Hmmmm. Not offensive, but not exactly enjoyable either. There's a subtle egginess coming through under the choc orange, and the texture is dry and chewy. Not quite rubbery. It's light-ish, but chewy. First thought was kind of like an over cooked fried egg texture. Second pancake. Bit more oil this time, cooked it for less time on the first side, and had the heat up a little higher. Didn't stick as much. This time I thought I'd go for traditional lemon juice and sugar to combat the dryness........didn't have any lemon juice in the fridge but did have lime juice so gave it a go. This time, with the more subtle flavour from the lime juice than the choc spread, I was getting even more of the egginess of the pancake coming through. The juice did help a bit against the dryness. Still the chewy texture though. With the stronger egg taste this was def reminding me of overcooked fried eggs, or dry over cooked scrambled eggs. You've got to work harder, chew for longer, than with a good normal pancake. So, overall, they aren't disgusting. They aren't a challenge to get down you like some protein products, but don't expect them to be a nice pleasant treat like a proper pancake is.
Goes Well With:
Strong flavours to mask the egg taste, and/or plenty of lemon juice or similar to help with the dry texture.

The taste is not too bad to be fair although I had the unflavoured mix. The problem is the texture! No word if a lie it’s like trying to bite in a flip flop! Feels like you eating plastic!

More like gingerbread

It was really easy to mix it and fry it in the pan. I used slightly less milk than it was suggested as it gave a better texture. For flavour, I wouldn't say it is cinnamon and sugar, I would say it's more like gingerbread

The golden syrup pancakes are out of this world! I mix 50g with 120ml of water. Fry light in a non-stick pan and they are perfect each time. Serve with skinny white chocolate spread. So filling and tastes soo good.

Disgusting taste

I bought unflavoured so I could add my own flavours but I've made these up once according to the instructions and they were disgusting, couldn't eat them. They were flat, chewy and gross. I added cinnamon to give them some flavour but got nothing. As I now have a bag of this I will try treating it like flour and make it up like normal pancakes by adding sugar, a raising agent and maybe an egg. The instructions are definitely wrong!

These are amazing. Syrupy and sweet, easy to make and oh my are they filling!  One serving made 3 small pancakes and I struggled to finish the 3rd.  Definitely Recommend this for anyone who likes something more than a shake in the morning.
