So so nice! Ignore anyone saying they are dry, they have over cooked them. Keep an eye on them in oven and you goodGoes Well With:Myp syrup
I didn't have the yoghurt or milk. So I tried it with 2 eggs and a 400ml can of coconut milk. It came out springy, a good rise and tastes airey and chocolatey. Sweet and yummy. The only criticism I'd have is that the nutritional info isn't that clear on calories per portion or how many portions per mix. The only info is based on 18 brownies per 450g mix. So roughly 6 brownies for 6 scoops of mixture. But no calories per portion unless you start weighing it all out yourself to apply the 'per 100g' info. For a ready made bag, the info is really really poor. There is also no way that you will get 3 lots of 6 scoops per 450g bag. Goes Well With:Homemade frozen banana ice cream.
Very nice smellt lush when cooking and tasted just as good .
I have spent years trying to perfect the art of baking with protein....and with this I think I have finally got it! I mixed 150g of the mix with 1 large egg, 100ml of almond milk and a teaspoon of truvia. In a saucepan, I melted 50g vitalite (dairy free butter) with a bar (minus 1 square...oops) of Myprotein High Protein Chocolate. Once this was melted, I added it into the mix. I put 8 muffin cases into a tin and put a spoonful of the mix into each. I mixed up 4 tbsp of PB2 (could use Myprotein powdered peanut butter) and then separated this out into each case. I then just separated the rest of the mix between them. Put in fan oven at 180 for 10 mins. Will do for about 8 mins next time. The results: 8 brownies/cupakes 164 cals each 10g protein 9.2g carbs 9.4g fat Obviously not the best way to get extra protein into your diet but good for when you need something sweet. Goes Well With:Myprotein chocolate and powdered peanut butter
If your expecting it to taste exactly like a brownie then your expections are too high. For a protein brownie with a fair protein content it’s actually quite good. The texture is good but be careful not to bake too long. I’ve read other reviews about it being dry and mine was not. I would suggest having them warmed up and with something like peanut butter to add a little more taste to them. Over all for a protein brownie i would recommend, as there easy to make and can be convenient for a snack but if your looking for something to get rid of that sweet craving id suggest something else. Goes Well With:Peanut butter
Well, this is nothing to with brownie. This is a nice chocolate cake/spongecake I would say. I've tried to bake few different ways, always ended up with a dry cakeish base. If you looking for a brownie, this is not your product. Order the protein brownie instead.Goes Well With:Milk, jam
Does not taste nice at alll. It's easy to make and smells really good but that's about all it.
This is more like a chocolate oat cake not a brownie. Awful taste and texture. Nearly all of it ended in the bin.
Was a bit hesitant as I have tried protein versions of normal foods before and experienced a brick dust consistency - though this was not the case with these brownies! Super easy to make, minimal ingredients required, taste amazing and keep in the fridge for a good week to ten days by my experience!Goes Well With:A dusting of cinnamon on top and tablespoon of peanut butter thrown in the mixture!
Arguably the worst brownie mix I've ever used. Bone dry with no flavour or taste whatsoever, straight in the bin after all family members and friends agreed they were like trying to eat sand and gravel. A complete waste of eggs. Really surprised as all other MP products have been real good.Goes Well With:My kitchen bin.......I'm sorry to say.
I only bought the smaller of the two size options so to "give it a go" but after cooking one batch up I'm hooked. As close to a real tasting Brownie as I've tasted when having any type of Protein Brownie. Really simple to make and bake.Goes Well With:Almond Butter
Unless you're totally inept in the kitchen, make these yourself from scratch and add in your own protein powder. These brownies come out with a really odd taste and now I have a tray worth that I will reluctantly eat... Or maybe just feed to the bin. I also ordered the flapjack mix but I'm looking forward to being equally disappointed with that too. Genuinely think I should be refunded for this poor excuse of a brownie mix. Goes Well With:Nothing!
I bought this mix as I'm trying to switch more foods for healthier alternatives such as high protein foods instead of less healthy treats. Since getting hitched I have a bit of fat belly. Usual get a slimline tonic with my G&T as have to watch the calories. Anyway, I've tried the protein cookies from here before so decided to give these protein brownies a go to make them myself. Really delicious mix and not too hard to mix, goes really well with the nut butters from here. Next time I'm going to try one of the protein cake mixes as well.Goes Well With:A belly
Weird texture weird flavour not worth the money Goes Well With:Water
