Use these with unflavoured Whey Impact Isolate to make great protein bars as a mid morning snack through the week. They work brilliantly in the recipe and save the hassle of using a food processor on regular oats. Have also used them in protein smoothies/shakes before to add a few more calories; they need a bit of work to mix thoroughly with water but their pretty good for bulking. Goes Well With:Whey Impact Isolate
Starting lifting at around 16 years old I've long been hunting for the magic formula to gain weight and strength. Varying between 60kg and 65kg for 4 years I struggled massively to ever reach a caloric surplus, until I stumbled across these instant oats. My problem, like many hardgainers, was that I couldn't stomach breakfast which further hindered my ability to eat enough macros throughout the day to make any significant/notable progress. Now tracking my macros via My Fitness Pal I make a smoothie every morning with 115g instant oats, water, frozen berries, 1-2 bananas, 1 tbsp peanut butter, 2 large raw eggs and OJ. This amounts to anywhere between 850-100 calories. Doing this over the past 1.5 months I've gained 6kg (14ish pounds) of mass, and made massive strength gains in all major lifts. If you're struggling for mass gaining, I implore you to try this! Cheers MyProteinGoes Well With:Berries, bananas, orange juice, apple juice, PB, honey, eggs.
Very good to mixing with honey and bananas and cocoa my favourite breakfast
Bought a load of products including instant oats. I was keen to try it as soon as it got delivered as I love porridge for my breakfast. However the product isn't anything like porridge it's more like a paste and tastes terrible even with accompaniments. It is barely edible and I'm soo disappointed as I bought a 5kg bag aswell. What an underwhelming product I'm soo angry about this it was to be the main part of my order.
Oats has a nasty after taste, bad smell and made me sick to my stomach.
the texture and the taste were terrible
I swear by my protein but the instant oats were a waste of money the taste and smell is very off putting. I found it doesnt mix well and the texture is not great. Ive tried making it up in different ways with no good results.
Pros: 1.the oats mix really well not at all lumpy. 2. they are really cheap. 3. the taste is really neutral 4. really helped bowl movements! being a male in his 30s and previously having a poor life style choice then going to a heavy protein diet i haven't had comfortable bowl movements in a few years. but with in 2 days of taking this every morning i had regular healthy movements every morning after workout. So the powdered natural fiber in them is really worth its value just for healthy digestion. 5. buy the 5kg and breakfast on the go is so simple and not a worry for ages. cons: 1. found it difficult to make porridge with them in a consistent manner. 2. straight from oats so not a replacement for whey powders. Goes Well With:just use it as a shake with water. for bulking add 2 scoops of instant oats to 1 scoop of "thewhey" and you have a great post work out carb loaded shake!
These are so so tasty and are perfect for after a high intensity workout!
