To make your own protein packed muffins preheat oven to gas mark 5/190C and line a muffin tin with paper muffin cases. Mix 3 1/3 large scoops (100g) with 100ml of milk and add 2 tablespoons of Myprotein's Coconupure Oil (Coconut oil). Separate into 4 portions and cook the muffins for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Full directions and recipe ideas can be found on the Myprotein website.

Great product, but don't use it alone as per the instructions or you will have a dense slightly flavoured vanilla muffin type thing... my advice is to fold the mix (made with skimmed milk or fat free greek yoghurt) into 2 egg whites, 30g of flaxseed and a few blueberries or raspberries or banana.. and even some almond butter if u have it.. cook at 190oC for 15-20 mins. Makes 6 lovely muffins around 110-160kcal (depending on the fruit) with good macros. Yummmm

Baked goods are my weakness and I've spent many years learning to bake quite well. Seeing an easy mix option like this made my day and I expected to have to tweak it a bit. - The unflavored taste is simply bland. Unappealing. - Baking requires specifics, and a "scoop" of mix needs to be specified as loose or lightly pressed. Standard baking approach is lightly pressed so that is what I do. - The recommended 100ml milk and 2 tablespoons of oil results in a very dry, difficult to swallow muffin (even with reduced cook time). I have played around with a whole bag of mix and the following adjustments result in a much tastier (without any bad nutrition!), moist, easy to chew/swallow muffin. The following still results in 4x medium-large muffins. - Increase milk to 110ml if using a muffin pan or 120ml if using stand-alone muffin cups (eg. silicon muffin cups) - Increase oil to 3 tablespoons (this kind of oil is good for you, folks!) - Chocolate version: Add 2 - 3 tablespoons pure cocoa (don't use ones with sugar; Green & Blacks cocoa powder is perfect as it is readily available and organic) - Berry version: Add 3 tablespoons of MyProtein Superfood XS. Gives the muffins a very nice berry/fruity flavor plus the obvious nutritional benefits. This makes the mix an unappealing grey color; the muffins cook to a nice golden brown though. - Veg/Greens version: Add 3 tablespoons of MyProtein Total Nutri-Greens. Gives the muffins a very nice veg cake flavor (think bread/cake made with courgette or squash, without the sugar of course) plus the obvious nutritional benefits. This results in the mix being an unappealing dull green-grey color; the muffins cook to a nice golden brown though. I've tried various recipes to make these muffins as I read they are hit and miss so below is the way I've found to get tasty muffins quickly. Before you start pop the oven on whilst you assemble the ingredients. I found mine worked well at 225. For the mixture I used 100g of muffin mix, 100ml of either almond or coconut milk (I tend to use this as I don't drink regular milk and I find almond milk lasts longer in my fridge) along with 30ml of melted coconut oil. I use a solid oil from any supermarket but it has to be coconut flavoured, some can be unflavoured but I find coconut flavoured oil adds to the taste of the muffin. So beat all the ingredients together, melting the oil easily in the microwave. I use a muffin/cupcake tin with room to make 6. When you add up all the calories etc each muffin is around 100 cals with a pretty decent 6g protein. Before you add the cake batter I lightly spritz the cake tin with one of these one cals spray so each well is lightly coated (use your finger to wipe around each well so each side and the bottom is coated) then in goes the batter so each well has equal amounts. I don't add any fruit as unless you flour any wet fruit the fruit sinks to the bottom and you get a wet, soggy bottom. I added raspberries and they really added nothing to the muffins and gave me a soggy bottom. Before the tin goes into the oven I turned the heat down to 200 and in they go. I set the timer for 15 mins but keep and eye on them as they could be ready around 13 mins. Mine come out light brown and springy to the touch. Whilst still warm use a teaspoon and run it around the edges and importantly lift the bottom off the muffin from the pan so it doesn't stick. I tried various methods using cupcake paper but the muffin mix just sticks to the paper and as you pull it off you pull off most of the muffin. Consistency wise they are springy and dense and are delicious when they are still warm. They can be a little heavy and dry but the size of them are just right and if you have any of the MP syrups they go lovely with just a little drizzle over them. Maple syrup worked a treat for me. Wrap two in foil and that's a cheeky lunchtime treat. I find the muffins are flavoured with just a hint of coconut and vanilla and help when the sugar monster needs feeding. Goes Well With:Mysyrup
excellent tasty healthy snack i like to use the following recipe: follow the directions on packet substituting 100ml of milk and using 100ml of unsweetened soya mix in 1 banana and add 100g of dried fruit Goes Well With:banana and dried fruit
These are FABULOUS. Instead of making 4, I made 6 in a muffin tray. I added some vanilla and cinnamon for some flavour and they are delicious. If you needed a little more sweetness, I added raspberries into the mix after pouring and it made for another great flavour. Will buy again!!Goes Well With:Tea
I've dabbled with some cake baking in the past, but never got around to making muffins. These are pretty simple to do (though the instructions could be a bit more descriptive): add milk, coconut or vegetable oil and muffin mix to a bowl, mix with a whisk until it thickens, then divide mixture into 4-6 paper or silicone cupcake trays on a muffin tray, put in preheated oven for minimum 12 to maximum 15 minutes. I added some dried pear which made the flavour a bit more interesting. These would be quite plain without some added fruit, or something like ginger. Again, it's too early to tell if these will help with my gains.Goes Well With:a cup of tea after a workout
Good product but not great. It's very easy to mix and use but I think it will be key to add a few extras to suit your taste. If you are looking for something sweat I would try the chocolate mix or even the pancakes. Good product but will just give you a base mix to work with.Goes Well With:Blueberries, chocolate
Read the instructions follow it = results! If add by using coconut oil as shown and add banana is great and use cocoa powder or peanut butter flavour. Mix nuts or dates and raisins to keep it moist. :) defibately 5 stars! And it's healthy too! Already recommend it with other colleagues. Loving it!
Brilliant idea. Very convenient and gives me a good health snack high in protein would be good to know the actual value. At the moment best mixed with 3 eggs and peanut butter (I mix 200 grams with 200 ml milk and 4 tbsp of olive oil with 3 eggs and 2 tbsp peanut butter) taste fantastic and is really springy. I didn't have a muffin tray so just this bad boy into a cake tin. So easy to make. 3 scoops, 100ml coconut milk, 2tbsp coconut oil, a handful of blueberries and bang it in the oven for 12 min. Obviously you can tell it's a protein cake from the texture but what can you expect. Something healthy ain't gona taste as good as a real cake but it satisfies the cravings and it tastes better than getting fat.Goes Well With:Blueberries Coconut milk

This product was really easy to use, the muffins tasted a bit bland so I added some vanilla extract which worked well. These are foolproof if I can make them anyone can!
