I now have 6 of these flavours, and I'd reccommend them to anyone. First started out with the typical 3, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. Vanilla is a classic and I put it in loads of things, mug cakes, oats, and baking to subsidise sugar. Strawberry is gorgeous and mixed with my unflavoured protein it tastes exactly like a Yazoo. The chocolate is probably my least favourite, just because it doesn't really taste of chocolate more just like a sickly sweeter version of vanilla with a hint of fake chocolate. I then got the toffee, raspberry and banana. The toffee is gorgeous, makes the best banoffee oats with it, and the raspberry I thought would be similar to strawberry is actually a bit more tangy, exactly like a raspberry is in real life. The banana is a bit lacking, but still very drinkable. They mix extremely well and I'd reccommend it to anyone thinking of buying, gives you loads more choice when deciding what protein shake flavour to have rather than being committed to 5kg of one flavour! All in all a great product that myprotein does, and although the bottles are small because the liquid is so concentrated you do only need a few drops to get the flavour.
I have tried the Toffee, Strawberry, White Chocolate, Maple, Raspberry and Vanilla flavours - and that's also the order I would rank them in terms of flavour. As many reviewers have said, Toffee is amazing. It has a really true flavour with very little aftertaste - I use it in: - Skyr/Fage Total yoghurt. REALLY brings out the creaminess . - Loads of Protein Pow recipes such as the peanut butter cheesecake, YUM. - In coffee, 11 drops instead of granulated sweetener, for that Starbucks syrup taste. - Myprotein unflavoured whey, with a bit of milk and baking soda, chucked in the microwave. GORGEOUS I've bought some for my friend because I love it so much! The Strawberry is pretty much on-par with toffee, beautiful with yoghurt, tastes exactly like the ones you'd buy in the supermarket. White Chocolate is gorgeous too - I'd maybe knock off a few % because it's not as 'flavoursome' as the first two - it is very sweet but a bit subtler with the white chocolate flavour. Maple is delicious, and a close replacement for Toffee if you run out (which I did). The 'mapleness' is noticeable and goes amazingly with cinnamon. It's almost on-par with the others. Raspberry is nice, it tastes identical in yoghurt to typical supermarket ones, meaning it's got a slight bitter tang to it, not as purely sweet as Strawberry. But it has its place - you can put a drop or two into cloudy lemonade for example! Finally, Vanilla is ok, it's a lot more bland than the others for me, and maybe has a bit of an aftertaste. It's definitely not equatable to vanilla essence or extract, it just tastes 'sweet'. I wouldn't buy this again.Goes Well With:Skyr, Fage Total yoghurt, coffee, unflavoured Impact Whey Isolate, Milk, all manner of cakes, biscuits etc, cheesecake, fizzy drinks, etc etc.
Previously had Toffee which was amazing. I thought I'll try peanut butter. Huge mistake. It's absolutely horrible. Smells like hospital ward. Had to throw it in the bin. :(Goes Well With:The Bin
Got the toffee flavour and I love it! The taste is a bit artificial when tasted for the first time, but I got used to it. I put it to my morning porridge and it's definitely like thousand times better. Cant wait to try another flavours! I am just disappointed that strawberry and raspberry ones contain carmine, so it is not suitable for veg people.
As you may or may not know, the unflavoured whey protein is extremely bland and tastes a lot like diluted off milk! Proper disgusting! Then I came across these little gems. At first I tried the caramel flavour which was sickly sweet, then moved on to peanut butter which was great at first, but I grew tired of it as it was too artificial for me. Finally I tried the banana flavour which is what I've stuck with for a while. Its the best!! Its sweet but not too sweet, and when mixed with My Protein's Whey Protein Isolate, it tastes like a banana milkshake. My protein intake has improved greatly with these. I couldn't stomach unflavoured WPI and most of the time I couldn't entirely complete the 4KG pouch, which resulted in me throwing it away. I don't like using flavoured whey due to the extra unnecessary ingredients that adds no effect to my training. These are great for controlling how sweet you want your shakes, or whatever you use them for. I used to pinch my nose and gag whilst gulping down unflavoured whey on its own, now with the banana flavdrops I'm left wanting more.Goes Well With:Whey Protein Isolate. Greek yoghurt.
Literally the best invention since sliced bread, deep into a recomposition phase of my training which mean calorie restriction and these bad boys are seeing me right through!!! Can't recommend the peanut butter flavour enough❤️❤️❤️... Seriously stop reading reviews and buy now, you won't be sorryGoes Well With:0% Greek yoghurt
I have about 5 powder flavourings and 6 or 7 of the drops. I prefer the drops as they are less sweet than the powders although the powders are probably better value for money although the drops are not exactly expensive. My favourite of the drops so far are the toffee (fool proof in anything) Strawberry and maple syrup so far, Vanilla is ok although I find it a bit boring (personal taste) the ones I find a bit disappointing are the banana as its got that kind of sharp un-natural flavour, and I find the peanut butter one just totally rank, tried it once and it'll be getting binned I think. My favourite of the powders are the Latte, I love the Rubarb and Custard too but it does have a nasty aftertaste. My Protein definitely has the most vast options in flavours in the drops and powders and when I am trying to lose weight I just mix them with coconut milk and a bit of Xanthan Gum and Konjac, a sweet snack for next to no calories. On a different note....I am so happy to see My Protein is starting to make more things with Stevia and hopefully this will be used in more of their products soon!
This was most disappointing. I've used the normal vanilla, strawberry, and toffee flavourings and been delighted every time. The strawberry stevia flavour is another matter. It comes in a rather unsettling clear liquid and tastes incredibly bitter with no strawberry flavor. I would steer clear of the stevia flavours and stick to the wonderful normal range. Goes Well With:The bin.
I tend to use unflavoured products as I like to avoid bulking agents, flavourings and colourings and it makes stacking supplements far easier. But when I started using a supplement with a particularly strong and unpleasant flavour I relented. I tried the Strawberry, Toffee and Maple flavours on a three-for-two offer. The recommended dose of seven to ten drops is not particularly effective. Even with unflavoured Whey or Casein, which taste of watered down milk alone, you'll need more than ten drops to taste much and trying to mask something more will take more. But all these flavours are nice (toffee is the best, followed by the nor dissimilar maple) and I've also mixed strawberry with maple and that works well. I will be back for more.Goes Well With:Anything unflavoured or bad tasting.
So the actual taste of the flavdrops was NOTHING like peanut butter which really really disappointed me however it definitely does flavour things very well (whatever the taste may be.. because it defo isn’t pb!) and it does mix well - hoping to try some different flavours as it may just be this flavour that's a dud. Overall, it is a good product, just maybe not a good flavour. It also smelt quite chemically as well which again, could be the flavour more than anything.
tried 3 flavours now, toffee, maple and stevia apple. Toffee is definitely the nicest, maple and apple are ok, just not as flavorsome as the toffee.Goes Well With:porridge, yogurt, protein shakes
I use it in my breakfast, with oatmeal and milk. The white choclate flavor tastes the best! It's super intense just with a few drops. I really recommend using those to add a little more flavor to your diet.
Just ordered in strawberry flavour, and it tastes amazing, I could smell it all day. I mix it with everything, great with yogurt or unflavoured protein powders. I will definitely order some more.Goes Well With:yoghurt, protein powder
My personal trainer told me about Flav Drops and suggested I give them a try as I have a terrible sweet tooth and am struggling to lose those last few pounds. I sent off for Toffee, Maple Syrup and Mocha. They arrived very quickly and I couldn't wait to try some out in Greek Yogurt. I put just 4 drops into a good 3 tablespoons of fat free plain yogurt and took a tentative taste - delicious! Tried out the other two at once and, yep, both scrummy! I'm delighted. It will be perfect in porridge and loads of other otherwise boring sensible food. I'm really thrilled. A great product, reasonably priced, rapidly despatched and totally delicious!Goes Well With:Porridge, plain yogurt, milk (hot or cold) and no doubt zillions of other things I have not yet had a chance to try!
I love everything about this product - for me the maple syrup flavour is true and mixes well in my unflavoured protein/ black coffee - I find all the other protein flavours way too sweet and this allows some control over how empowering the taste it - the only reason I have dropped a star on the review is I am very conscious of my food/supplements being natural and organic and this doesn't feel like a very natural product just because it's manufactured etc other than that I would highly recommend it!! Goes Well With:Deadlifts
i recently bought an unflavoured whey protein, i was not keen on the taste that it gave. I looked up on how to make it tastier and i found this! The FlavDrops are amazing! I bought the Strawberry one which tastes outstanding. I am very pleased that this kind of products exists! The smell and taste that the FlavDrop gives is incredible. Would recommend 10/10. Well worth the price. Goes Well With:Impact Whey Protein (Unflavoured) Instant Oats (Unflavoured)
Not impressed with chocolate. Vanilla more like sweetner. Toffee...lush! :-)
Not impressed with chocolate, vanilla more like sweetner. Toffee...lush! :-)
I have a HUGE sweet tooth, I used to use honey as a 'healthy' alternative which did work really well in most things! However, it wasn't the greatest mixer (especially in drinks) so I came across these flavour drop which work wonders. They mix in practically EVERYTHING, porridge, hot chocolate, cakes, yoghurt (best one), milk (tastes just as good as milkshake but not nearly as many calories). Best thing ever is toffee yoghurt. Just add a couple of drops(about 7) into some FF yoghurt (200g) and it tastes just as good as the high calorie naughty stuff. Will definitely be buying these again!!Goes Well With:Yoghurt, Porridge, Cottage Cheese, Ice Cream, Milk, Hot beverages
Great product, the strawberry and toffee drops are immense. A few drop make unflavoured shakes a delight.
These drops are amazing with yoghurt. My PT put an eating plan together for me, which included 0% natural yoghurt (fage brand). It's almost sour, so he told me about these drops. I decided to buy some and give it a go and they're absolutely brilliant. They have completely transformed my yoghurt. It's exactly like eating strawberry yoghurt. I add about 6 drops to the tub (170ml), which is perfect. Really tastes very good. I also bought the toffee flavour for my porridge in the morning. I really like the flavour, but the taste the sweetener quite strongly, which isn't brilliant. I now add some banana and cinnamon to the porridge with the toffee drops, which seems to have taken the artificial sweetener taste away but left the flavour. Now it's amazing. Really changes the taste. Oddly, the strawberry doesn't seem to have the artificial sweetener taste in the yoghurt. I use 10 drops of the toffee in my porridge and that's the perfect amount. I would highly recommend these drops. The apple is apparently also lovely in yoghurt, so I've been told, but I haven't tried it yet. Goes Well With:Yoghurt and porridge.
Right been buying these for some time with unflavoured protein . I would very recommend as they taste great so far iv tryed strawberry . Rasberry . Bannana and chocolate I would say out of them banana is thr best followedby sstrawberry and Rasberry . Unfortunately I would not recommend chocolate because it doesnt taste nice at all . Doesn't evan taste like chocolate either
I bought toffee which is excellent, so much that I bought another 3. It has a natural toffee flavour. I got apple and raspberry too on second order. I find the raspberry more like the raspberry syrup you put on a whippy icecream cone so personal I'm not a big fan as I flavour Greek yogurt and shakes. If you like the syrup, you're in luck. The apple is like appletiser lemonade. It's quite synthetic flavour but it's ok to flavour protein pancakes. I would def recommend the toffee. I goes great with shakes, yogurt, protein fluff, tea/coffee and most baked products like cheesecake.
Buying these is the best decision I've made, never going back to flavoured protein. Mixed with just Impact Whey Protein (unflavoured so saving on money) and water tastes like a milkshake, plus you can have multiple flavours for a different shake each day. I've got quite a few so here's a review of each: Strawberry: Probably the best of the lot, go for a few flavours so you can mix it up, but definitely include this one. Toffee: Great on its own (even better mixed with banana for banoffee flavour (please bring out a Dulce de Leche flavoured one MyProtein)); a little sweet if too much used on own. Banana: Same as for toffee. Raspberry: Very good although I prefer strawberry. Vanilla: Good mixed with other flavours (and in coffee); not so great on its own. Chocolate: avoid at all costs - it is awful (unless you add cocoa powder as well but better off getting the pre-flavoured protein if you really want chocolate).Goes Well With:Impact Whey Protein, Water, Milk (optional)
Absolute waste of money. It certainly smells like strawberry but has hardly any strawberry flavour to it. I'll be sticking to the normal flavdrops in future as they're much better.Goes Well With:Nothing
Brilliant flavours, allows you to get cheaper unflavoured powders and adjust the taste to however you like and not have the same flavour every day.Goes Well With:Protein Powder, Instant Oats
Recently came across these amazing protein drops and I can honestly say I can't be without them now! I put them in fage uk yogurt, porridge & coffee! My first purchase flavour was the toffee and that's amazing!! I'm not into white chcooclate & that is also really good! I do prefer toffee if I had to choose! I do want to try peanut butter one next.. Been looking out for reviews on that one but haven't come across any yet! Goes Well With:Yogurt, porridge & coffee
Got this to add to my unflavoured brown rice protein which tastes horrible. This makes it so much easier to drink. Lovely chocolate flavour Goes Well With:Soya milk
I was a bit nervous buying flavdrops, especially white chocolate, because I'd read reviews saying that they didn't taste of white chocolate at all / were awful. I'm glad I bit the bullet; they are a total lifesaver. They have a very intense white chocolate flavour, and are quite sweet. I've been using them in everything - see the list below. Despite using at least 1-2 servings a day for over a month, I have over three quarters of the bottle left. When you average out how little you use, flavdrops are much more economical than conventional flavourings and extracts. My favourite thing to do is to add 7 drops to 400ml black coffee with a few drops of sweetener and a splash of skimmed milk. It tastes just like a 500+ calorie bomb, it's only a few calories, and it will kill hunger for a couple of hours. It's brilliant for sticking to my calorie goals and for between meals. I have to limit myself though, because they taste so good that I'd be permanently wired if I let myself drink as many as I wanted. Although I won't need more for another few months, I'm excited to try the other flavours, and I intend on re-ordering white chocolate.Goes Well With:Black coffee, white chocolate whey, milk, baking, oatmeal. Anything.
I have three of the different flavours including mocha, vanilla, toffee. They are all great. I usually add 2-3 drops in my coffee or oatmeal as a sugar-free way of flavouring them. Be careful not to add too many drops, however, as you do get a bit of strange stevia aftertaste (2-4 should be enough for most purposes). Would be great if MP added a cinnamon version.Goes Well With:Coffee, oatmeal, protein pancakes (in batter),
I could not live without these! Maple drops are constantly with me!Goes Well With:salted caramel green tea or lemon and ginger tea, or coffee
I buy Flavdrops all the time and use them in everything, great flavours and really handy to use in anything and everything, usually a huge fan, but this is now the third bottle of Chocolate in a row with a broken pipette. Pipette not taking up liquid, then completely snaps out of the lid, so spilling everywhere and open to the air. Really annoyed and dissapointed!Goes Well With:Yoghurt Oats Coffee
Makes the perfect protein shake for someone with a sweet toothGoes Well With:Whey protein shake
EASY, CONVINENT & DAM TASTY! White Chocolate is the best, great mixed with dairy products to make sugarfree icecream or cheese cake! Peanut is also great, and Stevia Banana is wonderful in drinks and icecream recipies!Goes Well With:FAT FREE SOFT CHEESE!
Tried the toffee, maple, mocha, strawberry, white chocolate, and chocolate flavours so far. I would rate them in the order I have listed them. Toffee and maple are top notch, but the chocolate is tastes terrible to be honest.
I use FlavDrops with my unflavoured Whey Protein and milk. What i found with the strawberry flavour is that to really get that true strawberry taste you have to more than the recommended dose in (around 15 drops). For convenience I put up with the lack of strength in the taste and kept to the suggested 10 drops. To add to this I tried adding it to water and whey protein and the taste was awful! For this reason I have to put it to a 3 star as I was hoping the recommended does would give me that nice strong strawberry flavour. However I will now be ordering the Toffee after seeing plenty of good reviews about it, and the Banana.Goes Well With:Whey Protein and Milk.
This review is purposely for BCAA's, I couldn't find another review on how they work with BCAA's so here is my opinion. So I recently purchased some BCAA's to supplement my die. I'm unsure how many people use BCAA's but if you have ever tried them, you know they are the most god forsaken vial diabolical tasting disgusting edible piece of tragic waste ever. I originally put them in my protein shakes (5g) and even then with 500ml of liquid you could still taste them, I thought there is no way of getting rid of the taste. Starting to regret my purchase, and watching my gains slowly drift away I started to google what I could do. The most common suggest were to be a man and scoop directly into mouth and chug water, however although this is possible with creatine I found this would leave a putrid taste in my mouth for the next few hours. Another suggestion was dilute down with cordial, however I thought this would never work as it is not strong enough (could be wrong). Then I came across these flavdrops, or should I say magicdrops! Merlin himself could not get rid of the taste of BCAA's, but somehow myprotein have! I purchased the raspberry flavour, and only with a few drops it transformed what was once a nightmare into something that I look forward to. It works incredibly well, I had my doubts about this product but it is seriously strong and powerful stuff! I shall be trying out other flavours, but anyone looking to enjoy their BCAA's opposed to dreading them - this is the product for you! Reasoning for not giving 5 star rating is I think the cap is slightly messy, and sometimes excess stays inside the lid.Goes Well With:BCAA
I finally bought the toffee flavour recently after thinking about it for a long time. I only wish I had done it sooner! They have changed my life! No more boring bland Total 0. I add 7 - 10 drops to a 170g pot and it tastes just like the Muller Light Toffee yoghurt. I can't wait to try new flavours! I've also used them with shakes and coffee and I honestly can't praise it enough. Yum!Goes Well With:Yoghurt, shakes, coffee, milk
I love this product - my fave flavours are toffee, mocha and maple. I add to my oats every morning to mix it up. Also nice to add a few drops with my cocca and hot water to sweeten.Goes Well With:Oats, smoothies, hot drinks
So I've bought the vanilla, maple, toffee and most recently apple. Thr maple and toffee go into plain yoghurt and sometimes myprotein's unflavoured pancakes. These are nice for when I want a sweet pancake. For the vanilla, I add a few drops into my coffee with some almond milk for a satisfying latte. Also added to skyr and it's trés delicious. I use the apple to flavour my water because I've cut out all fruit juices and barring protein shakes with almond milk and coffee, water is all I drink. A few drops to cold water and some lemon gives you a refreshing drink. I might try some in yoghurt next, as the maple and toffee work. All in all handy little things that satisfy me. Goes Well With:Water, coffee, yoghurt
Does what it says and makes the vegan stuff taste decent!
The flavour drops were awful they made the shake taste even worse than before ,other flavours may be different but mocha tastes disgusting and unlike mocha
I brought the toffee and the strawberry and flavour wise they are brilliant; however the toffee didn't come with a pipette bit which I really don't like but overall a good consistent product. Goes Well With:Personally use for Micellar Casein and enjoy it.
I have used 4 flavours so far: vanilla, mocha, toffi and maple. All taste good with mocha being my fav, however, all are way too sweet for my tastes. 4 drops of either into a cup of milk makes the flavour come out nicely yet as sweet as after dissolving a heaped teaspoon of sugar. Goes Well With:porridge, milk, shakes, coffee, puddings
Is an excellent product. I have the White chocolate and toffee and I think the White chocolate just tastes like vanilla but the toffee is so good!! I mixed it with black coffee and it is just delicious and has basically no caloriesGoes Well With:Coffee
This flavour is by far my favourite. It gives a lovely sweet toffee taste with no bitter after taste. Taken with water or milk, it is equally good. A lovely treat is 0% Greek yoghurt and a few drops of the toffee flavouring! Goes Well With:Any shake, yoghurt.
the drops smell fantastic, and work great in my black coffee Goes Well With:Black Coffee
I decided to try some flavour drops as a way of making my pea-protein shakes a little more palatable. To be fair, I think these flavour drops have their work cut out, but they do work. I chose white chocolate at random, and it can taste quite good, but it does struggle against some of the more potent non-flavoured supplements. It mixes fine though, and the pippette keeps things carefully measured and neat & tidy.
Vanilla great for coffee, strawberry great for yoghurt. Need to use quite a lot so imagine you would go through it if you were using it every day, otherwise great Goes Well With:Coffee and yoghurt
I got three flavours: toffee, white chocolate and mocha... Toffee and white chocolate are delicious and really sweet, i find 4 drops in milk/a shake is enough for me, but I guess i don't have a massive sweet tooth. It also goes well in cakes or mug cakes, and desserts in general. Although I would agree with most others that it is often close to a whole pipettes worth that is needed as it isn't that strong. The mocha however, I would not recommend, it tastes very artificial and doesn't actually taste like coffee or mocha. Either way it is still decent and usable, just not up there with white choc and toffee which I would definitely recommend. Goes Well With:Milk, shakes, porridge, desserts
