This is a great alternative to wholefoods if you're like myself and find eating after intense exercise difficult, but you need that glycogen replaced ASAP ready for workouts later in the day. I tried mixing a standard unflavoured serving (75g) with 500ml of water and i have to say it was not a pleasant taste at all. If you have the thought process along the lines of "Just drink and dont think" you'll manage it, but i personally recommend mixing it with 1.5 scoops (37.5g) of whey powder, 250+ ml of skimmed milk and optionally 10g dextrose to take that starchy taste away. Carbarley mixes perfectly in all of the shakers i have at home (whiskball and meshtray shakers), and i definitely feel more energetic with "fuller" muscles when taking it post workout. Overall: Pros: Mixability is great, can be added to other supplements, effective carb source! Cons: Tastes horrendous on it's own (BUT YOU DON'T SUPPLEMENT BECAUSE YOU LIKE THE TASTE OF THINGS. IT'S FOR THE NUTRIENTS YOU GET. GET IT DOWN YOUR NECK AND DON'T COMPLAIN!)Goes Well With:Impact Whey Protein Dextrose Fruits Milk
