Just three weeks ago we were celebrating Nathaniel Massiah hitting a new PB when he completed a 300kg deadlift — and for three reps no less.

Three weeks on, and Nathaniel has outdone himself again, hitting another PB with a 320kg deadlift. Again, he made it look easy. Seriously, if Nathaniel tries to go for another PB, he’ll struggle to put any more plates on the bar.

Last time we got an Instagram post documenting the monumental lift. This time Nathaniel has treated us to a full YouTube video. He records the day of the lift, starting by fuelling with a Subway sandwich. Food for gains isn’t all chicken and rice.

Here’s how Nathaniel managed to get the bar in the air, and how he celebrated with gym bestie, Joe Fazer.

Nathaniel starts by fuelling up with some MyPRO Pre-Workout (if you don’t know, get to know) and warming up with some light sets of deadlifts, gradually increasing the weight.

Then, it’s time for the lift. Nathaniel chalks up his hands, completes his pre-lift ritual and completes a rep of 320kg with great form.

Afterwards, amid celebrations and congratulations, Nathaniel reveals he entered the gym without any of the kit he needed — gym leggings among them. If his mate didn’t lend him shorts, he wouldn't have broken the PB.

Nathaniel was chuffed with his new PB, but his day didn’t end there. Off he went to Joe’s gym to get in a full upper-body session. But not before they both took THE Pump capsules.

“The 320 went really well, really happy about that. It’s a weight off my shoulders. Now it’s time to get a sick pump — Joe’s gonna give me some Myprotein pump tablets, and we’re gonna get a sick workout.”

After an intense upper-body session, they ended the day with a well-deserved meal of burger and chips before heading home for what we’d imagine was a long sleep.

Take home message

Nathaniel Massiah is absolutely smashing it lately, hitting PBs left, right and centre. And at just 19, it looks like he’s got potential to make a serious name for himself in the weightlifting world.
