UFC Middleweight champion and Myprotein ambassador, Israel Adesanya, takes on Robert Whittaker for the second time in his career this weekend. The pair first fought in 2019, with Adesanya dethroning Whittaker to take the crown of middleweight champion. Now, Izzy the 'Stylebender' and 'Bobby Knuckles' are going head-to-head once again, headlining an exciting fight card at UFC 271. But who will emerge victorious? Psst... my money is on Adesanya.

In preparation for the fight, we’ve put together a few highlights from Israel’s career so far and instructions on where you can watch this fight from the UK this weekend.

Where can I watch Adesanya vs Whittaker in the UK?

Viewers in the UK will be able to watch the fight live on BT Sport.

Israel Adesanya’s Fight History

Izzy’s fight record is 21-1-0. That’s an incredible 21 wins, one loss and zero draws. His only loss was to Jan Blachowicz back in March 2021 when he stepped up a weight division, in a shot at becoming a double champ. Of his 21 wins, Adesanya has 15 knockouts to his name while his other six wins were by way of decision. Israel’s opponent, however, has 23 wins and five losses to his name.

“Pressure makes diamonds”

Does Izzy get nervous? Hell yes. But he uses that pressure as fuel to give his all in the final weeks of training. Once that’s over, his nerves disappear and he’s ready to go.

“Israel Adesanya might be the worst fighter of all time”

Not everyone is a fan of Izzy though, and he gets his fair share of mean tweets. But as you might expect, he doesn’t let it get to him...

Take home message

Invite your mates over, grab some snacks and settle in to watch Adesanya take on Whittaker for a second time this Sunday at UFC 271. You might want to sneak a nap in before too, this is going to be a late one.
