Active Women

As part of the New Active Women range launch I am aiming to enable girls to feel and look the healthiest they’ve ever been. In this article I am going to discuss our new Active Women Diet Capsules which can be used pre workout or as part of a morning supplementation routine.

Now, I have always been rather sceptical about diet pills due to the high levels of unnecessary vitamins or minerals that were used. However, at Myprotein we are not the number one supplement company for quality for no reason. The team have produced a product for ‘over weight’ females that will help them a great deal with weight and fat loss.

Note, when using supplements, this must be just one cog in a wheel of things that you must do to ensure you achieve fat loss; others being resistance training, sleeping to improve rest and recovery and most important of all, watching what you are eating by ensuring calorie and macronutrient intake is correct.

The key ingredients in the Active Women Diet Capsules are the following:

Vitamin D

Supplemental vitamin D is associated with a wide range of benefits, including increased cognition, immune health, bone health and well-being. Supplementation can also reduce the risks of cancer, heart disease, diabetes and multiple sclerosis. People deficient in vitamin D may also experience increased testosterone levels after supplementation. This would allow a female to improve their ability to lose body fat and increase lean muscle tissue.

Green Coffee

Green coffee plays a similar role as normal coffee beans however is very beneficial to the body for helping reduce body fat and body weight. It is a form of Chlorogenic Acid and is readily available to the body.

Caffeine

Caffeine is a powerful stimulant, and it can be used to improve physical strength and endurance. It is classified as a nootropic because it sensitives neurons and provides mental stimulation. Habitual caffeine use is also associated with a reduced risk of Alzheimer’s, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. Caffeine’s main mechanism concerns antagonising adenosine receptors. Adenosine causes sedation and relaxation when it acts upon its receptors, located in the brain. Caffeine prevents this action and causes alertness and wakefulness. This inhibition of adenosine can influence the dopamine, serotonin, acetylcholine, and adrenaline systems.

Kelp (dried seaweed)

When supplemented, this can be used as a way in which the body can inhibit carbohydrate absorption after consumption (inhibiting starch and lipid absorption). It also has anti-inflammatory properties that will help reduce gut inflammation, a common problem for anyone who may be suffering with higher levels of body fat especially around the umbilical area.

Pantothenic Acid

Pantothenic acid is one of the B-vitamins which is critical in the formation of Co-enzyme A, a molecule which helps a large amount of enzymes function in the body, and for energy production in general. As a part of a pre workout or morning supplementation protocol, this supplement is ideal for the production of energy and can play another key role in improving your workout as well as your general health.
