Suggested Use

This shake has been designed to provide the protein and carbohydrate you need to get the most out of your training. Protein contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass, and carbohydrates promote muscle recovery† after exercise. We recommend adding 2 large scoops (60g) to 150-250ml of water or milk in a Myprotein shaker 30 minutes before and/or after your workout. Alternatively consume any time of day to increase your daily calorie intake. †Beneficial effect is obtained through consumption of carbohydrates, from all sources, at a total intake of 4 g per kg body weight, at doses within the first 4 hours and no later than 6 hours of exercise.

Really good product, great balance between carbs and protein. low sugar content so doesn't taste over sweet, Mixes pretty well if you shake it enough. Good ratio of carbs and protein so perfect for what i require it for.Bought buy strawberry flavour. taste is great Overall I highly recommend.

I needed a protein recovery drink that packed in more protein than my usual SIS recovery drink. This Oats and Whey does just that. I can achieve a good 80grams of protein without taking on too many calorific carbs and so far I feel less fatigued and ready to go into another hard training session the next day.

This is a decent powdered mix of whey and oats and is only missing some added almond or peanut butter for being a complete or almost complete mass gaining product which works well to provide clean muscle building calories to support gains in lean muscle mass and increases in overall strength, this also works great with added leucine and 5 grams of creatine to further enhance the post workout recovery effects. After being too skinny and struggling to gain weight this protein is such an improvement from regular whey, it's helped me gain healthy weight so my legs and glutes look fuller. I have the vanilla one twice a day and love it I'll definitely be ordering it again

I have tried this, as I normally have oats and whey for breakfast and this was easier than mixing it myself. I have two criticisms: 1) it's a little overpriced compared to buying separate powders and 2) the unflavoured version only comes in 2.5kg. I also wish that MP would pack these in Ziploc pouches, as the current seals always come unglued from one side.

Bought strawberry flavour. Very pleasant taste and quite creamy. I have previously bought this type of product from other companies and internet sales sites over the years, which were mostly average at best, and on occasion passed through me like a slippery rocket. This product is head and shoulders above them, giving a good mix of protein and carbs, and stays in my system like it should.

Dietary protein is converted to individual amino acids by the digestive process, which are then absorbed. When amino acids are in excess of needs the liver takes up the amino acids and subjects them to deanimation, a process that converts the nitrogen from the amino acids into ammonia, further processed in the liver into urea via the urea cycle. When food protein intake is periodically high or low, the body tries to keep protein levels at an equilibrium by using the "labile protein reserve" to compensate for daily variations in protein intake. However, unlike body fat as a reserve for future caloric needs, there is no protein storage for future needs.Excessive intake of protein increases calcium excretion in urine, occurring to compensate for the pH imbalance from oxidation of sulfur amino acids. The research is inconclusive as to whether this calcium excretion from bone resorption contributes to osteoporosis. A regular intake of calcium stabilizes this loss. But then another issue arising from over-consumption of protein is a higher risk of kidney stone formation from calcium in the renal circulatory system.
