This xanthan gum is great stuff to have in the home. When I use water in my Protein shakes I drop some gum in, makes it nice and thick. Also good for making sauces thick. But you do need a hand blender to mix it in.

excellent
I love this Xanthan Gum. I'm lactose intolerant, plus I don't eat any dairy as it causes acne. I've never been a big dairy person except for ice cream, I make my own out of coconut milk and adding this to the mixture makes it so thick and creamy, it's so easy to use, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who makes food from scratch. "I agree about 'weird sliminess' but I don't care! Excellent for thickening watery unsatisfying protein shakes, or anything else for that matter. Add the Xanthan, shake it, then leave it to stand for a few minutes and shake again to ensure that the thickening effect is complete. Works in cold drinks and does not form clots or stick to the sides of the container. Totally user-friendly. The slimyness makes it easy to wash off/ wipe away if spilt."

"Oh wow.. not only makes a teaspooon of this stuff my cacao-milk nice and thick and smooth, I just added a teaspoon to some cake-creme powder. I was supposed to add whipped cream, but a teaspoon of xanthan made the stuff go like a super thick gel in seconds, making the best cake-spread for a low-fat cake.. My mixer couldn't even mix it anymore."

"This stuff is great for use in the kitchen for thickening sauces. I use it in place of cornflour when on a keto diet. Just sprinkle some into your sauce and you'll have a nice, smooth, thick sauce in minutes and up your fibre intake into the bargain. Win Win situation. :) I've not tried it in shakes yet because the MP Impact Whey is fine without it."

"I ordered this product having heard of its ability to provide fibre easily for someone who is unable to consume wheat and gluten. The 1kg bag will last me for a long time, great price. It is really good for thickening my shakes as well which is brilliant too."

Xanthan Gum
Works fantastically well mixed into Whey protein shakes (add some ice to the blender to make it even nicer!)- turned almost into a liquid marshmallow consistency. Didn't work as well with Soya protein powder- the consistency turned a little gloopy. Goes Well With: Whey Protein powder, MyProtein flavour drops & ice (blend!)

Nice for making a nice dessert
Just added 3 gr (I should have used less though. 1 to 2gr would be enough) to a cup of greek yoghurt. Added some mango and put the cup in the fridge. After 15 min I stirred it (cause it was a bit granular) and added a couple of toffee flavidrops. I agree it's a bit of slime texture but that dessert was delicious. Next I'm gonna have it with whey protein or milk plus fruit in a shaker, or adding berries to greek yoghurt and puting it on the freezer. Would recommend! Goes Well With: greek yoghurt, fruit, flavidrops

Xanthan Gum
I received a 250g bag for free in a order from MP. I already use a lot of other fiber supps so had no need for it, for that reason. However I had noticed it was on the ingredients list for the "protein dessert" MP sell. So decided to add a mini small scoops worth to 2 scoops of whey protein - shock it till it all thickened up and put it in the fridge for 30 mins.. voila - my own version of MP's protein dessert but in a Cookies and Cream flavour. Yum. So if you are looking to thicken up any protein drinks, sauces etc, a mini scoops worth will do the job.
