Overview

3 delicious brand new flavours... Blackcurrant, Orange & Passion Fruit and Apple & Raspberry!

Our Impact Whey Isolate® is an extremely rich source of whey protein derived from vegetarian sweet cheese, sourced directly from the world’s leading whey protein manufacturers.

Whey Protein Isolate (WPI) is the ultimate form of whey protein, containing over 90% protein with very little fat and lactose. Having the highest Biological Value (BV) of any known protein, Whey Protein Isolate contains high levels of both essential and non-essential Amino Acids.

In the manufacture of our Impact Whey Isolate® we use Cross-Flow Micro-filtration, a delicate process, which uses filters to separate protein from fat, cholesterol and lactose based on molecular size and weight.

Impact Whey Isolate® provides over 90g of protein per 100g on a dry matter basis, is low in fat and lactose and rich in calcium. Our production methods help to preserve the biological activity of the whey protein ensuring all the immune-boosting components remain intact.

Traceability is a key part of our quality monitoring process and to aid this process we work directly with the world’s leading whey manufacturers to ensure we have complete knowledge and confidence in the production process of our whey protein.

The protein fractions are: 47% Beta lactoglobulin, 17% Alpha lactalbumin, 1.5% Bovine serum albumin,2% Immunoglobulin G, 0.5% Lactoferrin, 27% Glycomacropeptide.

The amino acid profile can be found at the bottom of the page under 'Certificates'.

i use Impact Whey Isolate banana with Creatine Monohydrate 2 times a everyday, it mixes very well, tasts awesome , i workout with weights 4 times a week ,body-weight work out 3 days and a run, with the combo of the whey and creatine, gives a great recovery time

unfortunately i ordered this product in the velvet vanilla flavour but it just tastes off. I can barely force myself to drink it. mixabilty is another issue with it as even with my mixer it leaves clumbs. i ordered true whey before and will definitely order only true whey in the future as the taste is just putting me off.

Great product - I use after swimming sessions and has had a marked effect on my recovery times and progress. I've tried the Banana, Strawberry and Choc Smooth flavours - the latter is my personal favourite (although mixing the banana and choc has produced some nice shakes!). I use the MyProtein shaker, about 1/2 full with water and 1 to 2 large scoops; really no problems at all with mixability (have used both water and milk and tastes lovely with both). Incredibly good value for money to boot! Would recommend!

Excellent Protein shake. I got the chocolate smooth and it tastes fantastic. mixes perfectly with water, no lumps or blender needed, but with milk a blender is definetly needed. I only use a normal water bottle. Quick delivery. Great product and definitely recommended!!!!!!!

First order with myprotein and im impressed, i ordered midday on a sunday and it was dispatched 2 hours later and arrived at my door today. as for the product i ordered unflavoured as other flavours can reduce protein values and i think it tastes fine. its a bit wheaty i think but easily drinkable and with the added drops of banana i ordered it taste better than most milkshakes. have only tried one so i cant comment on its true effectivness yet but so far so good

I have tried Vanilla and Choc so far and this product is excellent, would rate it 6 stars If i could! BUT I decided to try one of the new flavours Orange and Passion fruit, tried it for the first time today and it is DISGUSTING, i mean Ive had terrible tasting protein drinks in the past but I cant even bring myself to neck it quickly. I know these are not for enjoyment but holy mother of god its disgusting!

The Vanilla Whey isolate tastes good but slightly artificial. it mixes well with water and a bit of milk and ive been using it after heavy weight sessions or with porridge in the morning which tastes good. slightly concerned about the additives to make it taste so sweet so may consider switching to natural flavour next time.

This product is great smells awesome tastes awesome and works awesome cheaper than other leading brands but works just as good or even better. Also it got delivered on time. I am just about done with my first batch of 4kg Unflavoured Whey Protein Isolate and I'm sold. Mixability is so-so. Mixes better with milk, has to be shaken more strongly to make it properly dissolve in water. Leaves behind some foam, but it settles. Taste is bad with water and tolerable with milk. You will get used to it either way. Most important aspect is it's effectivity, which is an A+ from me. Excellent source of protein. I am on a cut and so far this product has been a great help in retaining my muscle mass. Price is awesome for the amount of protein you get. If you are looking for an affordable product that just works, take this.

One of the better protien shakes I have tried, I was using syntrax but far too sweet for me, Myprotein's Impact Whey Isolate far less sweet and therefore I can cope with having this everyday and don't need unsweetened yougurt to go with it in an effort to dull the sweetness. Only neg is that it does have a carbs but only a small amount. Will certainly be ordering again.

Why are people even concerned with taste? The point of it is not to have a delicious snack, but rather get results - at a good price. I have introduced so many of my friends to this very product - it is the cheapest and the best whey protein isolate (isolate easily being the best form of protein for lean gains) in the UK. And this really hits the mark in both respects.

i bought this product as a replacement to my old protein shake as this has a much greater protein content for less money. i purchased the unflavoured one as i have it in a fruit smoothie sometimes. it is great, flavour wise you can hardly notice it, the only problem is it gets very frothy and you have to wait a couple of minutes for it to settle before you can drink it. since switching to the myprotein whey isolate my recovery time between workouts has definitely decreased. two thumbs up!

A good product if you prefer quality and nutrition over taste. I went for this product for the low fat low carb content and have not been disappointed with the results. Chocolate flavour is really good actually, so is banana. Vaniilla was pretty horrible, I won't go for that one again. Cheers MP for keeping the prices down! Now I want to see a tasty casein :)

This protein is great... Extremely effective in supporting recovery it also mixes great with the mp max blender bottle. I am seeing results after a week I feel fresh the next day after a workout and I feel stronger. Only bad thing is the taste of the unflavoured protein it tastes sour and as if it's gone off but overall a great product.

Seriously improves recovery rates! Hard gymnastic/gym sessions worry me no more! After completely obliterating every muscle fibre in my body after gymnastics a few times I know the recovery times without this are too irritatingly long. Using this (3 shakes a day each with 1 and 1/2 scoops after hard sessions but 1 normally) I can go from painfully waddling to training again in 3 days. I love it :)

ok, so most of you complain about the taste of this, i use the unflavoured version, which i can only describe as a milky kind of taste thats abit sour?! but honestly, you do get used to it, for me it made a pleasant change from all the sweetners in the flavoured brands, I was using another brand in chocolate orange and i loved it at first, had to use it again the other day (purely as an emergency) after using this impact whey for a while and could not stomach the sweetness, so the unflavoured taste for me is a refreshing change. Results wise, now im no body builder but do do weights and endurance and found this to be beneficially, placebo effect or not but I do find im a little stronger and less stiff the day or two later, overall, good price and works.

Over the years I have been using various whey protein products, usually big brand names, but recently I decided to try out the unflavoured version of this product due to it's very high protein content. I was not disappointed. This is by far the most effective and fastest working whey protein I have ever used! Not only can I feel it working within minutes of taking it, but my muscles feel more refreshed the next day that I have ever experienced before. Highly recommended!

In comparison to many shakes the strawberry is very nice with milk and ok with water, perfect if you need less calories and faster absorption. Muscle gains are good when combined with creapure and a hard structured workout. Extra BCAA’s on top of the shake are helpful sometimes for quick recovery.

Ordered 4kg of Whey protein isolate yesterday at 5pm, got it today at 2pm!!! Less than 24hrs!! Decided to upgrade from Normal whey Protein to Isolate(unflavoured),Hopefully results will be even better. PS: The first few Shakes takes some getting used to as the taste is a bit grim!! but eventually it kills your taste buds and you can neck it quite easily..

I bought the Vanilla a week ago and have been using it since once in a morning with breakfast and once after my gym workouts in an evening and I cannot say how impressed I am with the product. The Mixability is great as is the taste of the vanialla, I would say its a mix between vanilla, milky bar and cookies and cream, a real good flavour. I have noticed that the day after a hard workout I am refreshed and ready for another session in the gym. Overall I give this product a good 5/5 and a thorough thumbs up!

I decided to get into supplements due to not being able to get home and get good quality food down very quickly with the gym being a fair drive away and the time it takes to cook ect. On recommendation and research I went with isolate and waxy maize to mix with it post workout and found this site to be best value. I only got the product for post workout but now end up having 2-3 a day due to the fact I love the taste so much I crave them. Iv now had 3 batches of the stuff and the mixability is absolutely fine in a shaker with even 150ml water, and tastes like a high fat milkshake in milk. Only downside is the smells it makes me produce are unbelievable and unhuman! Smells like iv eaten a dead rat which can be slightly awkward sometimes as it is literally all day and night lol. Great product though and cant see me moving on any time soon

I was a bit sceptical to try MyProtein products as I have been using a rival product for a while now and cannot fault it apart from the price tag. After a very hard session at the gym last night I had dual scoup serving of MyProtein WPI Vanilla and I must say I cannot fault it in any way, the mix is great and the tast is really nice! On reflection muscles feel more refreshed than they do when taking the rival product, I know where I'll be getting my suppliments from now on! Thanks MyProtein!!

I tried the chocolate smooth and no turning back, I bought one of the mini shakers and it mixes fantastic and very smooth with no powder left behind, unlike other products my friends have/used this leaves no lumps whatsoever, its not cloggy and doesnt need one of those silly mesh strainer drink bottles. An excellent quality product thats worth the extra few quid from the regular myprotein whey (also highly recommended)

I have been using this product for a while now and I haven't got tired of it and can't see myself tiring of it either, i have noticed a difference and it's definitely the best whey protein shake when it comes to flavour and mix-ability, I have vanilla and it actually tastes like a milkshake from a cafe. I would really recommend this product

I've been using this protein for a few months now. I've tried both the 'chocolate smooth' and vanilla flavours - both taste great! And it's excellent for using in cooking - I regularly mix a scoop into porridge for breakfast. I'd describe the taste as not too sweet, but just sweet enough. I probably use it 2-3 times a day and find that it gives me an excellent source of protein whilst being extremely low fat. An excellent all round product - I'd highly recommend it!

I purchased the Unflavoured 4kg bag of Impact Whey Isolate I find it does exactly the job it needs with little carbs/fat and calories it is great just to top up on your protein for the day. The only thing is (which is not bad as I knew it would be) always mix it with a flavouring if purchasing unflavoured because it is horrible without the flavour which we all know. I just used chocolate milkshake powder at the moment.

Strawberry cream 5/5! Taste is as nice as any strawberry shake you would buy at a supermarket. 2 scoops in 300ml of 1% fat milk is just the right consistency. No lumps, cleans out a lot easier than some other flavours. For effectiveness I can't really say even after 6 months use because the rest of my diet isn't as clean and consistent as I'd like but I dare say I'd look a damn sight worse if I stopped using this product. Choc Smooth 4/5 A bit too sweet even for me and I normally have a sweet tooth, can thin the taste with extra milk but can't always be bothered with 500ml+ of milk. Mixability is fine, never any lumps. Effectiveness already summed up above

I have this protein twice a day as part of my diet for training. Before training i have one scoop with porridge oats for a hit of protein and energy and then i have 2 scoops directly after with a scoop of waxy maize startch for more protein. The product tastes good and mixes well. I have very rarely had issues mixing it with either the oats or the waxy maize startch. It's a great alternative to doing something inconvenient like eating eggs or a steak before and after training and it has a very high amount of good protein in it. Helped with my fat loss and allowed me to keep my strength whilst im dieting which is always important.

Just received this today, delivered bang on time. I can't review its effectiveness as yet but I just made a quick shake and it mixed in a normal shaker without any effort. I did find after however that 250ml of water and the recommended one scoop of 25g was quite watery with the powder being quite fine. I prefer them to be a lot thicker so definitely will be using around 200ml of water and some peanut butter to enhance the choc smooth flavour which is absolutely fine anyhow. In terms of mixability and taste this product is excellent. I have used MP products before and they have all been of a benefit to my training so no doubt this one will follow suit.

I ordered the Whey Isolate in chocolate smooth and have to say it really is the best tasting shake I have tried. I got 1Kg of the banana free and that also tastes great. I was a bit apprehensive with ordering from a place that doesn't even provide a scoop but in fairness they were only cheap to buy on here. all in all i'm very impressed with the products and service i have received, wish I had opted to spend that little bit more and get the saturday delivery option as next day worked out at nearly 4 days waiting but thats my own fault.

I had been a religious user rival products. So I was quite reluctant to purchase Myprotein products as I felt they wouldn't measure up. However, I made the transition as I wanted to save money - I saved a LOT !!! Though being much cheaper, the product is of GOOD quality. The protein powder mixes well - No Lumps, I am really surprised to read some reviews stating that it does not mix well. I bought chocolate smooth - it tastes good, and does not have a grainy texture. As for effectiveness, I've just recently started using this product, so don't know yet. I am sure it will help me achieve my goals. However, in the end it all boil down to how hard I workout. I definitely recommend people to buy this product.

Based on Vanilla. Absolutely brilliant product, very 'clean' if you are looking to avoid carbs and superbly high in protein so goes a long way. Tastes like a really nice, thick restaurant milkshake if you have it with any type of milk and some oats, if you don't want the oats it still tastes brilliant without. If you have it with water you will want to throw up, its one of the worst tasting things I have ever taken when shaken with water. Oh and it smells like puke when with water. This shouldn't put you off though, I see no harm in having it with skimmed milk(unless lactose intolerant) and if you do this you will love it. Great delivery, great price and great product.

The best protein for those on a low carb diet. Taste is not an issue if you don't want all the sweetners in it, just drink it and shut up, use water to reduce carbs and lactose further. If you are on a low carb diet DO NOT use more than 1 scoop 30g. Even with the 1 scoop you need to sip it and not down the stuff. I take this 3x a day after biking to aid recovery.

For the amount of protein that you are getting this product cannot be beaten. I just got it today, I'm sitting here drinking my second shake of the day in a regular old protein shaker and it mixes perfectly. I have vanilla flavour which tastes just like vanilla. It's not something Gordon Ramsay would serve, but all I'm interested in is getting high levels of quality protein down my neck and this product wins hands down.

Hi, I started using this from a recommendaton of a friend. Both he and I are personal trainers, and now both refer this to customers and clients. My goal was that i had 4 months before i went travelling, and i wanted to to get LEAN while trying to get stronger and in turn gain more lean mass, but WHILE getting lean - which is tough. I combined a piece of fruit with one scoop after workouts and another scoop later on in the day with 3 to four meals, and i achieved my goal, i got ripped but with added strength and size. Great product, more importantly, probably the best protein shake i've had.

Had different opinions about the mixability of this , brought another pouch of this last week and it seems to mix better then the last batch... maybe i just had a bad batch last time ? just give it a really good stir , mix between 25 and 30g of protein with around 450ml water and neck it in one . seen good gains from taking this , deffinately reccomended. and why complain about the taste , you take protein shakes to build muscle , not for a nice drink.

I found this to be really good - with regards to mixability; I found if you don't add enough water, it doesn't mix well, but just a little bit of extra water and it's fine. Alternatively, slap it in a blender and Bob's your mum's brother. Tried Chocolate flavour, and was okay putting in a little water to mix, but with banana flavour, I find I have to put double the protein to get a decent flavour! I will be going back to chocolate.though.

Many reviews here seem to focus on taste. My view is I want a high quality protein source, which builds good quality lean muscle when used as part of an effective training program. This protein is just that. I'm not fussed about the taste, just the results. Used about twenty kilos now and have seen excellent gains. I use with creatine ethyl ester. Quick recovery after training, reduced DOMS. I use a scoop on waking, half scoop with milk just before training and one and a half scoops post workout. Great value too compared with many others. I use a normal MP shaker with a wire ball and have had no problems mixing.

This mixes well enough (if you shake it for long enough) and it tastes lovely. The chocolate smooth is a bit like liquid maltesers. Every other shake I have used tastes like chemicals, and had to be drunk with all the relish of taking medicine, but this stuff could be served in a restaurant or cafe and nobody would complain. Price-wise, compared to other shake mixes, it is very good value for money too.

Im not too sure why people are complaining about the mixability of this product. It mixes great with a decent shaker and if it is shaken in the way the instructions tell you....Great product for lean muscle mass! I've had no problems with it just yet, although its early days! Unflavoured is very bland, but then again what to else can you expect from an unflavoured product. Overall, good product

For thoise who say it is unmixable - 1) Put your chosen liquid into your shaker 2) Add required amount of powder 3) Put shaker ball in, put lid on and shake for 30 seconds. This works everytime for me with unflavoured, wouldn't think it would be any different with flavoured version. For those who say there is too much froth - Simply allow the mixed powder and fluid to sit for a few minutes and voila! the froth has gone down to approx 5mm, hardly anything left in the shaker once it is necked. As for effectiveness, I use 4 scoops a day but this is due to the fact I'm vegetarian and have noticed gains. Not huge gains mind you but gains none-the-less!

Best product Ive ever used, cheap, effective and does the job if you train properly with a high calorie diet, and as for people saying the non flavored has a taste well like it says on the label it tastes of nothing, well has a slight taste but nothing to worry about and nothing like the horrible sweet taste u get from most shakes and anyway who cares its not unbearable and u dont drink them for taste but seriously this or hemp are the way to go both are great unbeatable products and the only difference between this and something twice the price is the advertising hype, which is usual b.s, on the more expensive product anyway, but still its a shame it keeps rising in price but still a bargain.

Some batches seem to mix better than others, try using some lukewarm (not hot) water from the kettle if it's a tough batch to mix. I flavour with milkshake powder. Overall a very good product.

I bought the raspberry flavour, which I found vile at first and actually made me gip. However, I got used to it and I can now chug the lot in one go. Anyway, nobody buys whey for the taste experience, so who cares? Others here have commented that this stuff is difficult to mix, and that is somewhat true. So, here are my tips for creating a smooth(ish) shake with Impact whey isolate: 1) It does not mix well in liquids that are very cold. Using milk or water straight from the fridge results in epic fail. Tap water is fine. 2) Sprinkle it in, bit by bit, allowing each sprinkle to at least partially dissolve before continuing. Do not add the whole scoop at once; you just end up with a lump of crud. 3) Stir it vigorously with a fork, rather than using the shaker. (Using the shaker seems to make it quite foamy, which I didn't like because it forced me to drink the shake slowly and made it more difficult to get the stuff down me.) If you bear the above points in mind, you can't fault this product for the price.

I've had both the vanilla and unflavoured and the vanilla was my favourite. I had to buy choc powder to add to the unflavoured to make it a little more pleasurable to drink. I mix with skimmed milk because I didn't like it with water at all. Agree with the mixing, it's not great with the shaker so I now use a hand blender and its lovely and smooth this way. Didn't like how the unflavoured one effected the flavour of my porridge and struggled with it plus it was lumpy when mixed in hot porridge. I'm going to buy the chocolate one next and see how I get on. Seems to be effective though and am happy with the results and the price.

At first I would have my unflavoured protein in a glass and just stirred, but it just doesn't mix. Switch to a shaker and it's fantastic. Just take with water, if you're not bothered about sugar and fat and therefore drink protein with milk, switch to a cheaper protein! As for taste, I am using the unflavoured batch, it's a supplement, taste isn't important. You can drink it with water and has a mild taste but it is so dilute it does not make a difference whatsoever. If you want a fattening chocolate milkshake, go to McDonalds. As for effectiveness, recovery is fantastic! And great for building lean mass. Great job MP, definitely buying again. [Well my brother is, we share! ;)]

I mix 60g with 60g dextrose, 5g of Creatine and 5g BCAA powders for during and post workout shakes. I also take 30g as soon as I wake up with half the recommended water, then wait 30 minutes before my breakfast. Shake it gently for a while and there's minimum frothing and it mixes well, no gritty lumps. The vanilla tastes great on its own, and is still OK with the "nasty" BCAAs added. It does the trick for me and I'll try different flavours next time. The price is great too in my opinion.

I have recently gotten back into working out and thought that instead of going for the old expensive 'shiny' brands I remembered from 10 years ago I'd try MyProtein out and mix up my own 'all-in-one' for cheaper. Since I am VERY lactose intolerant I had real bad memories of other protein powders... major bloating, terrible gas... but this product has been great. I am getting a little gassy but it is well within acceptable and controllable levels. The powder mixes well and the taste is fine. Yes that's right I said IT TASTES FINE. I mix my whole shake up flavourless with water, and whilst it definitely does not taste nice I can knock it back far easier than my previous experiences of ropey chemical tasting protein shakes from other very big companies. The gains I have been making are really positive when combining this with some carb powders, creatine. I'm naturally pretty skinny but I've gone up by a stone of mainly muscle in 2 months of workout, and the gains in size and strength are continuing at a nice steady pace.

Very good stuff. Highly recommended. This was my first foray into unflavoured proteins and I was a bit nervous that the taste, without flavours or sweeteners, would be disagreeable. However, when mixed with water, this delivers exactly what I was looking for: lots of protein with little taste. It's not completely flavourless; there's a bit of an aftertaste, but it's really quite negligible. Also, this protein offers a good medium to add your own flavours, if desired.

OK, it is a little gritty, and it does foam up a little - but so what? Its whey isolate - this is what its supposed to do if its good quality! - what do people expect?! You cant compare pure whey isolate to a branded tub of protein because they use a mixture of (mainly) whey concentrate and whey isolate. I mainly use this mixed with whey concentrate or in my pwo shake along with whey concentrate, virtago, malto, creapure, bcaa's. Tastes and mixes fine. On its own the choc smooth taste is not as good as the whey concentrate but its still good.

Well gram for gram you cant really go wrong, its very good value for money. But the mixability is really bad, it seems quite insoluble in water and turns into a really foamy substance with a small amount of liquid on the bottom. I like to be precise with my protein so if i actually want to consume the amount that my scoop measures i have to refill the flask with water several times before ive managed to drink all of the 'foam' On the other hand ive found that if you want to add some flavour to the flavourless isolate, it goes quite well with various things like water and cordials, or milk and vanilla or peppermint essence, its pretty versatile.

I'm a first-time customer of MP. The following is based on the vanilla flavoured Impact Whey Isolate that I purchased (5kg). Begins to dissolve as soon as it hits the water. Mild flavour and not overly sweet. Tastes quite natural. No chemical taste. Mixes lump-free if you've got a proper shaker. A little bit foamy, but it settles down in a couple minutes. The shake is thin and translucent. Tastes best with skimmed milk. It's okay with water. Excellent with my morning ritual oatmeal (let it cool a bit before you mix in the powder or else it will get lumpy). If you want to build muscle without getting chunky or if you're watching your calories, I highly recommend this product. It's low in fat and carbs and is 90% protein per serving, more protein per scoop, without any unnecessary ingredients (I don't know of many brands that can boast of this). It's a rather simple protein supplement. Also has a good profile of BCAAs (for those who care). I will definitely buy again in another flavour.

When I first began bodybuilding some five years ago, I would habitually overload my body on protein - whether it be whey shakes, casein before bed, protein bars to snack on, plus stuff like creatine. Unfortunately, back then none of these products "agreed" with my body and, as such, I would always end up breaking out with terrible spots all over my face and back. Fearing that it was a side-effect of weightlifting (and not the supplements I was using), I stopped bodybuilding altogether and instead turned to heavy cardio. Whilst this was great for shedding unwanted fat, I also lost most of my lean gains. Anyway, a few years on, having been on accutane to sort my acne out once and for all, I was understandably extremely reluctant to start back on whey protein, fearing that my acne would return. When I started using a flavoured system (containing artificial sweetners like sucralose), I found my skin started to become quite aggravated again. This is where MyProtein came in. Since switching to the UNFLAVOURED Impact Whey Isolate, no matter how often I use it, my digestion of it has been brilliant and my skin has not suffered one bit - if anything, the high protein diet has benefited me even more. I'm starting to bulk up again in the right areas, my stomach isn't constantly bloated and the product seems to mix really well with milk. If you haven't already established, I'm somewhat "anal" about what I put in my body. Sticking to ORGANIC milk and taking the whey with this, I have found a perfect shake that tastes just like a glass of milk. Try it and see :)

As for performance brilliant as a snack mid afternoon and post workout, great source of high quality protein. Really helps increase protein intake throughout each day. When I first got this and tried it, I was very unsure of it. It frothed up really badly and made it very difficult to drink. However, I have began making my own style of shakes with the myprotein chocolate isolate, add 1 scoop of powder, 2 teaspoons of nesquick chocolate milkshake powder, and a generous teaspoon of peanut butter (also a good source of protein). Add a little milk (little less than 100ml), and give it a 30 sec -1 minute blend in a blender, then pour in the rest of the milk, usually about 250ml more and blend again for a minute. Use a sieve to catch any unblended peanut butter and this will also catch any froth. Literally, the nicest milkshake I've ever had. Tastes like snickers/reeses cups, and I've seen some excellent results!

A dash of creatine and to 'sweeten' it up a little, and add a flavour, I put in a chopped banana and let the blender mix for 30 seconds. Not one lump, very smooth and completely sweetner additive free shake. It is very tasty with banana but also try with Mango / strawberry.

Read a comment earlier about how it mixes up all lumpy. If you put water in first and enough of it then protein on top of the water and shake well with the Mp shaker it will not lump up. It will only lump up if you put in the protein first, then water on top.

i was after an unflavoured protein so i could whack it in my own smoothies, first of all i put it in the blender and it foamed really bad, so i used an mp shaker and it mixed in seconds, really weird but it works great, i hate eating choc milkshakes all the time, so if you need it flavourless, go with it and good results too, really noticeable within weeks, 2 heaped tablespoons and quarter pint of milk + 20 seconds of shaking if your in a rush, always go for 1kg if your unsure but i guarantee you will be getting more

I ordered this having used MP's Whey Concentrate for the best part of a year. Given that 2.5kg of isolate costs almost as much as 5kg of Concentrate I was expecting a very high quality product and indeed just to look at the powder you can see that this is much less bulky. Sadly that's where the benefits seem to end. Even when mixed with MP's OWN shaker I'm left with a lumpy mess, the mix ball on a few occasions has literally been full to the centre with a lump of virtually solid protein. Whisking helps but not much and if I wanted to whisk my protein I wouldn't use a shaker - kind of defeats the point. it tastes god awful, it might have a few more grams of protein than the concentrate does, but consuming enough for it to count takes a stronger gag reflex than I have (I can knock unflavoured concentrate back... 2 scoops in a few gulps) but every mouthful of this stuff is hard work.

Just got 4 x 5kg pouches in this wpi. It's easily the cleanest tasting isolate I've had and I've tried lots! Including MP's isolate a few years ago, not sure if their using a new supplier but this isolate really is spot on! The price was £165 approx which is just over £8 a kg next day delivered! Nowhere cheaper as far as I know! Mixes fine with a fork. No need to add flavouring as this is as close to milk tase wise as you're likely to get! Great product MP!!

Great stuff - I buy unflavoured WPI to me it’s not about the taste that is important it’s all about getting the protein so for me I can put up with no flavour taste. The above shake is my pre-workout shake which is my home brew recipe this is the only flavoured with extra clean carbs shake that I take, the rest of the time it’s just pure unadulterated, unflavoured WPI. If you want lean mass and low percentage body fat you should try unflavoured unsweetened protein to get the most out of your protein every little bit counts. Trust me I have featured in Men’s Health Mag, enjoy you WPI

I purchased 10kg (Natural) of this product for a good price. However, when mixing for the first time in my shaker it was a foaming mess and took a while to drink, my first thought was damn I have got 3mths supply to get through. My wife then suggested not to shake it up and just stir it with a fork when preparing, which I did, and then it was perfect and I could down it in a couple of gulps. This product dissolves really well on its own and just needs a quick stir with a fork for a great drink. Do not shake or blend or you will just add lots of air and curse.

Very good product, being on a low carb/high protein diet this is ideal. Purchased the vanilla flavour and started mixing with water which was ok but then as I was already using long life 'Alpro Organic Unsweetened Soya' as a substitute for milk had the brainwave to try mixing it with that and it's much, much better. Small tip - I use a Philips hand held blender to assist with the mixing, works a treat.

I did have a few mixing problems with this, I don't know if it was just a batch issue, but what I found was if you mix it in slightly warm water then it mixes really easy, I found this out because I kept using cold bottled water out of the fridge, then I ran out so I resorted to tap water, now with the tap water obviously not being as cold as water from the fridge it started to mix to a smooth non lumpy consistency, so if you just mix it at just room temperature water you should be fine, if you like it cold then mix it at room temperature and stick it in the fridge to cool while you are working out, using warm water also takes the froth away after about 30 seconds of standing, make sure to mix slightly before consuming after leaving it though as the water tends to separate from the mixture as it is left standing, all in all a great product, tastes great and I am glad I found this little fix for people who are having mixing and froth problems :)

I've used various protein powders over the years and have chosen them based on either price or quality. If I'm wanting a cheaper produduct I don't expect the best qualiity in terms of a quick recovery time. If I spend more I expect a product that will help me to recover quickly so I can exercise again and thus acheive more gains in a shorter time. I was happy with a brand I was previously using as I felt it had a balance of price verses quality but had noticed this product and was just a bit more for the Impact Whey Isolate over the standard whey I was getting (the equivelent from my protein is cheaper), so thought I would give it a try. All I can say is that i'm glad I took the risk. Some of my friends say they don't feel pain afer training but mine always feel tender or brused after training with weights. If I don't use a protein suplement this lasts about 6 days or a week for me. My last suplement (whey protein) would fix me in five days if taken 2 to 3 times a day but this product sorted me out in three days! This was doing the same workout, i've had it a week now and this has been the same both times. I've spent a lot more on what is probably the leading brand and had the same results but been poorer for it. If your thinking about buying this, don't. Just give it a try and I doubt your be disapointed. Tasts nice with milk and quite nice with water. Others had said it is like coulered water at the bottom with froth on the top, well with water it does go clearer on the bottom and has a small (5-6mm) head on it, but still tasted nice, so who cares. It does the job in terms of repairing lean mass and thats why you buy a product like this. Ordered more and feel exited about working out as i know i've got this product to pack on the lean mucsle and at a great price!

I have just bought a 1 kg size whey isolate. I felt truly pumped up and im certain it was due to this whey. So far so good. Taste wise, well its pretty tasteless really, and it does make fairly well. Obviously MP's flavour systems might be good to try too, I just tried some Vanilla Whey Isolate and taste was good for an isolate, bit like milkybar...Anyway, this will defo be a stable of my diet from now on, quality knocks socks off most whey isos on the market...

It has very low carb and fat content and does all you can ask from it and at a very competitive price.\n\nIt annoys me that there are so many people here whining about the taste. • Chocolate (not so) smooth (28/01/2010)
  • Review:
I've been through maybe 15 different whey's over the years. Typically there are 3 types - those that taste fantastic but are loaded with sat fat (reflex, maximuscle), those that taste horrible (IDS, nutrisport), and those that don't taste at all. This is, sadly, one of the latter.\nBefore we get to the taste, lets go through some basics on how not to make a first impression - the product doesn't come in a hard container, the packet it comes in is not really resealable, and they don't even provide a scoop. Doesn't scream a great first impression, it screams cheap. Charge me the extra £2 and don't con me! It also really gets on my nerves that MP don't display the full nutritional content of the product online, not even the basics like sat fat.\nTo the taste - well there isn't much of one. Its an incredibly subtle chocolate taste, honestly, you might as well get unflavoured and put the money towards some low-fat hot chocolate. \nConsistency - the most watery of all of the whey's I've tried - whilst that's good post workout (helps speed up absorption), it only serves to further detract from an already dilute taste.\nHowever, nutritional content wise - this is the best of the best for a 'flavoured' whey. Though the sat fat isn't disclosed, it has to be below 0.3g which is very lean and its edging towards 94% protein content. OK the amino content could be a little better, but the nutritional prowess is the only reason I would repurchase this item. If you chugging down 8 or 10 scoops a day, you don't want 1.5g sat fat per scoop.\nI recommend getting either a different flavour (cherry seems to get a good write up), or getting the flavourless and buying a flavouring additive which you can buy on here. \n\nTaste - poor\nFirst impression - even worse

Giving this product 4 stars as compared to some branded products I have tried, upon mixing this product produces a lot of foam and froth. Ideally I would like to see more spay drying with soya lecithins and surface agglomeration to reduce the froth. Plus a more safer sweetener such as Erythritol would be beneficial. Finally, the addition of some digezyme wouldn't go amiss either.

I selected this product over Impact Whey Protein as I was attempting to reduce carb intake and lactose. After months of using Strawberry whey I wanted a change and opted for the Vanilla. I rate the product highly and inspite of the price increase for the Isolate over the Impact Whey (Concentrate), the product remains excellent value for money. Two observations: (1) The drink is exceptionally frothy. This, however, might be a feature of Isolate in general. (2) The drink appears to "settle" or separate out quite quickly and has to be drunk very quickly after preparation. \n\nOthers have said that the vanilla flavour is foul. I mix mine with water and there is no problem with taste for me.

Great stuff, high quality as per usual but my god don't go mixing the vanilla flavour with water - its rank, foul, think maximuscle but even worse. Yuk.\nMix it with milk and its fine tho.

I find the taste of this protein fine flavoured or unflavoured. Having tried many other proteins from some of the most popular brands you will find this tastes alot better . Try adding Dextrose to the shake 30 - 40 g to add a sweet kick to it .

Full marks on price and nutritional value BUT the strawberry is foul (I'm a girl, and so totally within my rights to be a 'sissy' about the taste). It was just, gag-arama. Like water, but water that's been left out for a few days. \n\nI've resorted to mixing it with some porridge (after the porridge has cooled, so I don't break down the proteins...) which actually, is quite yum.

For those out there complaining about the taste of the whey isolate can i suggest you mix it with a few dashes of cranberry juice light and around 100mls of soya milk, tastes pretty good and excellent if your lactose intolerant.

For the past 5 years Ive been using a whey isolate protein product from a company called AST sports science. The product was good and I saw big gains from it. However, recently the price of the product has gradually increased, and it got to a point where I just wasnt prepared to pay over the odds for the stuff no matter how good it was. I tried other big brand whey isolates out there - all pretty much garbage. So I heard about Myprotein and thought I'd give their product a try. The price was a hell of a lot cheaper than anywhere else.\n\nBeen using it now for approx 4-5 weeks. This stuff is the business. It brings on the gains. As long you train properly, this product will build up those lean tissues like nothing else out there. \n\nFantastic price, I didnt think you could get top quality whey isolates out there for less than £30 - This stuff is almost half price!!!\n\nOk, taste wise its not fantastic - but not too bad. Ive had the raspberry flavour (quite bland tasting, needs more taste) and the banana flavour (better tasting than raspberry, but not as rish as I like it). At the end of the day I buy a protein powder to build mass, not to enjoy the taste. As long as the taste is bearable - thats all that matters if it builds lean mass all day long.\n\nKeep it up Myprotein - Im now a regular buyer - as long as the price doesnt increase!!
  • good protein, bad taste (23/07/2009)

Had been previously using promax, which for taste can not be faulted. Whey isolate was recommended to me by a Person Trainer and it is a really good product. However, the unflavoured one is not very nice at all. Blending it with a banana and some sugar makes it more drinkable

This is the first time i've had protein shakes, i'm using them as "breakfast on the run" to keep me full til lunch so I don't snack on rubbish at work, and they seem to be working! The MP flask is so good a frothing it up too! I really recommend vanilla, i mix it up with milk and it is absolutely delicious! Much better than my boyfriend's strawberry flavour which is so sickly!!! So far so good, not getting a rumbling tummy til midday! Thanks myprotein :) very happy!

I've been on the Atkins diet for about 8 weeks and have lost a stone but was beginning to struggle with any endurance exercise as my muscles were so fatigued. I read about this product online in Men's Health & Fitness so decided to try it. It has worked brilliantly in that it has given me the ability to exercise for much longer without tiring. Thank You!

OK to start this is alittl bit too frofy, and thats ok but when the drink is left for more than 30 secs the water go's dark... + i have to have unflavered as im avoding sugar for medical resons..., and thats alittle bit gross!! ewww, im finding it hard to take away the taste... and smell... other than that it mixes great and does what it said on the tin!

A use a scoop of unflavoured in a mp hand blender bottle with 150ml of water. It mixes very easily, although it does foam up when shaken. I just mix water with the remaining foam, and drink that too. It tastes neutral there is only a slight 'dairy' flavour, but still I chew gum afterwards, or it lingers on my breath (like all protein). Do not try it hot or with milk. This isn't for 'bedtime' it's for 'pure protein right now'. It's excellent.

I forgot to add that the 'resealable bag' actually works. I can never get these to work on food bags I buy at the supermarket. And to the guy bemoaning the lack of scoop, just buy one once! MP sell them. 50 pence!

I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT. AS I HAVE BEEN MORE THAN HAPPY WITH MP MEAL REPLACEMENT I WAS EXPECTING GOOD THINGS.I ADDED THE RECCOMENDED 2 SCOOPS TO 300ML OF MILK AND ENDED UP WITH A WATERY TASTELESS SHAKE ,EVEN AFTER ADDING OVER 100G OF POWDER IT DID LITTLE TO INFLUENCE THE TASTE (RASPERRY ) OR CONSISTENCY.WHILST I APPRECIATE RESULTS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN DRINKABILITY AN APPETIZING PRODUCT DOES HELP.THIS IS THE WORST PROTEIN SHAKE I HAVE TRIED.
  • excellent for lactose intolerant (18/06/2009)
  • Review:
I am lactose intolerant and these are the best protein ever. I've tried the unflavored that gives me the freedom of choice whatever taste I wish. Low temperature resistant, don't try to add to your warm breakfast shake if you don't like cottage cheese...
  • Just what the Dr. ordered (17/06/2009)
  • Review:
I have tried lots of differeny whey proteins. Since I am lactose intolerant have always found it very difficult to tolerate the shakes. Would always take one pre workout and end up halving my workout due to the discomfort in my stomach. Even with the various whey blends out there. Then I heard about taking activated charcoal with the shakes, which really did the trick. However, didn't feel like taking that all the time. So I tried the Isolate (although never tried any other brand before). This seems to do the job. Now just need to find the ideal carb to mix in with it
  • Excellent product BUT (27/05/2009)
  • Review:
.. the packaging is crap. There's no scoop and the re-seal on the bag is rubbish. \n\nAs for the powder, its great, but I am not convinced its worth 2x the cost of regular whey protein formula (also available here). Tastes of nothing (unflavoured), goes nicely with milk and fruit or in porridge/oats. \n\nNo complaints great postagem, well packaged, great product but I will be buying the cheaper unflavoured whey they offer here next time unless the price comes down 30% or so.\n\nLikewise, be ready with a good tupperware to put it in as the bas doesnt re-seal properly.

Have just purchased this product and so far so good on taste and mixability.\n\nPreviously i've taken at least 60g of whey - using the recommended 30g per serving doesn't seem enough. Is anyone else using 2 30g scoops?

This was my first order from MP (a little disappointed with delivery taking a week but I assume it was just a stock level blip).\nI ordered the choc.smooth flavour and it tastes fantastic, like melted Aero bar! Time will tell if it's as effective as the other major brand I've been using, but so far I can't fault it :)

I usually buy the chocolate or the smooth chocolate one.\nI find the Blending ok ( I usually use it with my white egg-porridge mix in the morning before and after training.. and with soya milk before sleeping)\nIt's working great so far !\nBig fan !
  • Good But Frothy (21/05/2009)
  • Review:
Had a few from MyProtein, wouldn't go anywhere else for my supplements. Whey Isolate protein ia good tasting, mixes ok but best to drink straight after mixing, tends to froth a little but disperses after a 5-10 seconds. I had the Raspberry, mild flavour but still better that most.
  • great stuff (20/05/2009)

I'm lactose intolerant and have suffered stomach upsets using other brands but this product tastes great (vanilla), blends easily and does the job without any of the usual protein powder side effects such as bloating and wind. Highly recommended.
  • Terrible taste (15/05/2009)
  • Review:
I just had my first shake with this stuff. I opted for the unflavoured version as it is that little bit cheaper but I'm already regretting that decision! Ill have to find something to put in it as the first trial was pretty hard to swallow. Fingers crossed it works better than it tastes.\n
