Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) contain a 2:1:1 ratio of Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine. These amino acids are considered to be essential amino acids that cannot be synthesised by the body, so must be consumed from dietary sources.
During exercise BCAA become more important whereby dietary intakes can often not meet the body's needs. Therefore with BCAA powder you can reach optimum levels of BCAAs in a quick and easy way.
BCAAs come in two fantastic new flavours; Berry blast and tropical storm. They are easily mix and can be consumed almost instantaneously.
BCAAs can be consumed throughout the day for or before, during and after workouts. You can increase the effectiveness of BCAAs by consuming 10mg of Vitamin B6 with every 10g of BCAA.
BCAA’s are generally consumed by active individuals and are suitable for anyone taking part in intense training or exercise, looking to enhance muscle recovery. They are also suitable for anyone looking to increase lean mass with reducing body fat levels.
5 grams of BCAA's can be consumed 2-4 times daily. BCAA's can be consumed by mizing with water, or for best results add 2 MP small scoops to your favourite fruit juice or pre/post workout shake.

Started using my protein bcaa about a year ago. Spot on product great price great flavour. Currently using for intra workout abd fasted cardio during my prep. Nice flavours on the pallet while dieting and effective supplement. No muscle loss atall!

I can only review the unflavoured. I have tried all the ways previous reviews have suggested to mix and I have found that the only way to mix my batch is with Ribena (name brand) about 100-150ml in order for it to dissolve. I have tried cheaper branded juice flavours but found I need approx 1000ml for it to semi dissolve.This might have something to do with the sugar content why it does or does not dissolve. I found if I stir it shake it or blend it I get a "Beer Head" unless mixed as above. If put in a protein drink it is gritty but is still drinkable.
Taste wise it is foul but we don’t buy sup’s for taste.
Results wise I certainly feel more energised pre workout and not stiff or sore the following day or two even if maxing out.
Not certain I would by this again, but would consider the flavoured version to see if similar mixing results.

A bit bitter taste (unflavored), but can ignore it cause of great it's effectiveness. It really helps to recover after hard training.Goes Well With:Water and Impact Native Whey 95 (Chocolate).

Noticed a great deal of gains from using BCAA, however taste wise it is not the greatest thing in the world but saying this so fair I have only tried the unflavoured one so I am only able to comment on that one, even though the taste may not be so great the benefits of the BCAA far out way the cons, personal I think they are an essential part on any supplementation.

I am writing this to tell you not to be put off by the reviews saying it doesn't mix or it tastes bad, I just added two heaped 5ml spoons (the ones provided) which is around 5G BCAA to 500ml water bottle, shook it and within one minute it completely dissolved, and there was barely any taste.
It does taste bad, when undiluted, but when you add enough water it mixes easily and the taste is barely noticeable.

Recovery is okay but I literally could not get it to mix. Put into my mixer with the metal mixer shook for ages. I then used a fork andspoon but the ppowder just clumped and settled. Taste is vile I could just about stomach it. Don't think I will continue to use this product.

BCAA scores 10 out 10 on effectiveness, it is a must have. Choose the flavored one as unflavored tastes like hell. IF you can afford a few more pound, go with iBCAA (instant BCAA) which provides everything BCAA gives plus tastes really good.

I've been using this product for a while now and I love it! - either in my whey/creatine mix before and after training whih I also use to flavour. Or, just as a drink throughout the day and during training. Love the 'berry blast' flavour'!!!
I have been using MP for quite some time now and I am seeing significant gains - MP products are just great in my personal opinion and their customer services are just as good. I recently had an issue with the flavouring in the BCAA product which was rectified very quickly and MP sent me out a new pouch! Very satisfied!!!!!

Tastes great and mixes well, which after reading a few reviews I was quite surprised by cause I've seen a few complaints. I just add 2 scoops to 500ml water and shake, leave 5 mins and give it another quick shake before drinking. Noticed a big difference in my recovery time aswel. **Highly Recommend**

I think a lot of people are giving this a bad review because they're not allowing enough time for the powder to actually mix in. I put 2scoops in a 500ml bottle and fill it up with water, give it a 5mins rest, a quick shake and it tastes like a very diluted squash drink!! I can't say I've noticed a change in my recovery time just yet, but I'll stick at it and see how my results improve. Goes Well With:water

This is a great addition to any nutritional regime, add BCAA's to your training programme and increase your progress. In my programme I take two table spoons of BCAA's before training and the same after. There is a method to this, which is to gather a table spoon full from the pouch and put it in your mouth and have a glass of water to hand and take enough water to swallow the powder in one. I would not recommend mixing this with a shake though, just get it down in one, you know you are not buying this for it to taste nice, but just get it down and see results with training.Goes Well With:Whey protein but do not mix it, though add this to your nutritional programme.

Usually get the BCAA tablets, but got this for the higher contents of BCAAs in it.
It's effective stuff. Helps with recovery time a lot.
But actually drinking it is horrible. It ruins the taste of anything you add it to i.e. protein shake etc, if you have unflavoured.
Mixability is poor, but it does dissolve in water eventually. Just need to keep stirring the water until it clears up. I add some orange cordial to it and that masks a lot of the taste and it's easy to just knock back in one then. Add it to a shake though, and it just turns the shake bitter.
To make it easier, I have a small smoothie blender that has a small plastic cup attachment that I use to mix it. Just put water with a couple of scoops in and blend it up for 20 seconds then down it. Goes Well With:Cordial and a lot of stirring.

The unflavoured tasted disgusting and does not mix with water at all. Mixing it up with shakes does not help much either. Recovery time is shorter but that's if you can stomach this stuff.

Well I am 37 (getting on) and been trying to be a muscle god for over 20 years failing miserable lol. My main issues have been recovery and fatigue. I have nearly finished my first pack of BCAA's and well I have seen some amazing results.
Recovery for is now minor issues as I have been taking BCAA before workout , after and just before sleep. The first set with preworkout BCAA actually gave me a ridiculous buzz (dont know why) then I notice fatigue was no near what I had prevously felt. As alway got a cold and was off for about 8 days. On coming back as always I would have ridiculous chest pains on recovery and again these were practically non existent with BCAA. Again I had an insane buzz on starting training after drinking My BCAA. Th buzz could be a placebo effect but I really do think that My body has probably always needed BCAA boost.
Loving training again and would reccomend adding BCAA to your diet even if you a 2 to 3 times gym goer , i am now able to go 6 days a week with no issues on recovery.
I am taking IMPACT WHEY Protein Isolate as well twice a day while dieting.
******* The key to mixibility is put in a shaker with around 200 -300 ml shake well, let stand for 2 mins and cloudyness goes and it blends with any liquid.Goes Well With:Whey Impact Isolate, Water , dilute Ribena ( or any other berry cordial :)

I am 30 years old, 12 years lifting experience and 10 years as a PT.
I have cut around 5x never with BCAAs.
Previously I have noticed some muscle and strength loss which I thought was inevitable. This time I thought I would try using BCAAs to prevent catabolism of my muscle tissue which studies have claimed it does. I started with about 15g of BCAAs a day, one upon waking, one pre workout and one during workout. Over the next few weeks this did seem to slow or completely prevent muscle breakdown in a calorie deficit. I read more and more studies suggesting that more BCAAs would enhance the muscle preservation and strength so increased my doseage to 40mg of BCAAs for the last few weeks. Well... Some things happened I did not expect. I have more muscle fullness, INCREASED strength and think that I may have actually gained a slight amount of muscle!
It also seems to have accelerated my fat loss and my recovery has been immense considering I am a natural trainer, train 6 days a week, in a calorie deficit with about 6.5 hours sleep a night.
I have tried fat burners, test boosters, pre workouts blah blah etc etc but this is now my favorite supplement. A must if you are dieting IMO and want to maintain hard earned muscle.Goes Well With:Everything

Sorry but this stuff tastes absolutely rank and doesn't mix at all well.
I bought the non-flavoured stuff and like creatine I just scoop it into my mouth then wash down with water, this is ok for creatine but this stuff sticks in your throat making you gagg.
I've since bought the tablet version of this and I'm yet to use them but this powder has to be the worst supplement I've ever tasted.
Does it work, who knows !?!?Goes Well With:Anything that will cover the taste !!!

Initially tried this product as an alternative to standard whey, now use it alongside. Find it's very effective at giving me that little bit more energy during the session and I feel my recovery time between sessions has been reduced, allowing me to train harder and more regularly.
I use it with water and a little squash cordial, then it tastes just like a normal glass of juice. You do have to give it a decent shake, as sometimes powder can collect (doesn't taste great in powdered form!).

Only just bought this product but it tastes quite good, abit like blackcurrant robinson's
MP should attach the scoop to the outside of the bag though as mine was right in the bottom so had to empty it out into a storage container and didn't realise how dusty this stuff is :)
Now I've got it I will keep the scoop for future use but it is worth bearing this in mind.Goes Well With:Water

I use it post workout 10-15g with 40g or so of simple carbs (skittles or dextrose whatever youve got to hand) and is amazing for recovery. I use two scoops of impact concentrate pre workout (breakfast) with some porridge, and coupled with this post workout I never feel like recovery is an issue any more. A day of setting PB 1rms used to be destroying but now I bounce back fantastically. The unflavoured tastes like cabbage that spent a few months under bigfoots armpits, but have had no mixability issues when using plenty of water. Goes Well With:Lots of water, squash, simple carb source.

I've bought other products before that have had negative comments about taste and/or mixability and I've never had issues with them myself but in this case the negatives are on the mark.
With creatine powder I tend to use a shot glass and a splash of juice and it's no problem at all and in shakes it's tasteless but this stuff is *much* more difficult. It smells quite strongly and seems to be extremely hydrophobic so returns to the top of a standard shaker pretty quickly. I've also found it affects the taste of shakes but it's not unworkable.
So far I've found it's best taken either in a blended shake (the thickness seems to prevent it separating) or in a bowl of porridge with flavoured protein powder. I would avoid taking it off of a spoon at all costs!
As for the effectiveness it's always hard to tell this early but I have found that when taken just before a circuit style workout it does seem to make me quite nauseated. I can't be certain that this product is to blame but I'm going to stick to post-workout and mornings now - if it even halves the DOMS I get after doing my legs I'll be getting more of it...Goes Well With:Porridge and blended shakes

First of all I've tried both theTropical and the Berry flavour and would recommend the Tropical for definite.
Been using it for quite a while now, first of all before a workout and then mixed with Whey Isolate after workout. Now it's morning, lunch and mixed with the protein shake after a workout. It really does seem to be helping with muscle recovery, aching a lot less after and the next day now, which means I can do even more. Building lean muscle too.
Tried mixing with skimmed milk, low calorie juices and water.. Water seems to mix the best with less lumps and doesn't taste too bad either, but if you're not keen on the taste then I'd recommend trying it with some juice. I buy unflavoured whey isolate so it's good mixing with that and adding flavour.
I have bought it a couple times now and still continue to buy :) solid staple in my healthy eating and workout plan. Goes Well With:Water, skimmed milk, juice, whey isolate

the reason i have deducted an overall star is because, being in the bag it is in, every time i open it im losing about 0.01 in dust into the air. not a lot to begin with but could add up. taste is unflavoured and slightly bitter but easily tolerable, put in a shaker, not too great to mix with water and spoon, great product though

Im not sure on the affects but have had berry blasts which tastes good.
There is an issue with mixability, but i have found that the best solution to this is to buy a small juice bottle (Like a fruit shoot) and fill the powder in here and top with water. Then vigorously shake the bottle, remove lid and drink like a shot.

Bought this in the berry flavor, tastes very strong like chemical flavor.
I chose this over the tablet version as already take a lot of tablets per day, however the flavor is really unpleasing.
Not too sure if I would buy this again.
I have tried mixing it with other things but the taste is very over powering.

Yeah, it doesn't mix well, but if you leave for 5-10 minutes it dissolves just fine. I have it with my shake.
I prep the BCAA's first, 2 scoops in water and leave it in the shaker whilst I work out, add a bit more water if I need, add my protein shake powder, mix and it's fine.
Without the flavour of the shake it tastes foul, but if you have a strong flavour like chocolate mint, it hides the horridness of this.Goes Well With:Water, patience

Arrived promptly. Mixes very well and just tastes like berry squash, no lumps left in just a normal water bottle, fully dissolved.
I have only brought this due to the fact it's suppose to retain some lean muscle mass whilst being on a caloric deficit. Only used for 2 days so can't comment on results as of yet but it can't hurt having some free form amino's right?

I bought the unflavoured one and it was just awful, the taste was actively bad - not just tasteless or dull it felt like drinking the smell of hospital disinfectant.
However following advice from another review here I mixed it with Cheap, sugar-free apple+blackcurrant concentrated juice (cheap Ribena basically) and then added the water and it tastes drinkable.
Can't say much about the effectiveness of it from firsthand experience, but the general consensus seems to be that it's good preworkout and prebed and what's the worst that could happen?

I have ordered the unflavoured one to mix it with juice or my protein shake. It works in a blender but if you put it into a drinking glas with juice it doesn't mix with it.

This product is simply amazing for how much it cost, I would definetely recommend it if you are cutting and doing lots of cardio and want to preserve as much muscle as possible!! This should be one of the supplement basics within your diet!! I mix up 5g (1 level tablespoon) in water, pre workout for my morning cardio! And add another 5g scoop to my post workout shake later in the day!!Goes Well With:- water

This is my second time to get bcaa from myprotein. The flavours are good. I started training on 31/12/2013 without using amino acids. I train with the guidance of my son and he suggested using BCAA from my protein. It certainly helps recovery as I was very very sore initially but my recovery is very quick now that I use amino acids
