"I thought a review from a slightly different perspective might be useful. I'm a 45 year old female vegetarian and although I've always been active and use the gym at least 3 times a week I'd recently started to notice the onset of the dreaded middle aged spread! I cut my carbs and upped my cardio but found i was struggling with my energy levels. A friend suggested that I wasn't getting enough protein so I did some research, which led me to this website and also to a more regimented low carb vegetarian diet. I use the product at least twice a day, 3 if I've done a particularly strenuous workout. In the morning I mix it with either some peanut butter and cocoa powder or frozen berries and soya yoghurt and that keeps me full until lunchtime (which is a miracle for me!) and then I have another shake, mixed with soya milk and a cheese salad followed by a third serving later in the day if needed. In one month I have shed 7lbs without once being hungry or feeling deprived and my lean muscle gain has been amazing. I look and feel great. And that's after only one month, can't wait to see what 6 months will bring. I would highly recommend this product to anyone but in particular those wanting to follow a low carb diet. It really, really works! Oh, and the taste and mixability are fine. I choose vanilla as then I can add other ingredients to make a nice thick shake."

"Early days but the quality of the product seems to be good and definitely helps recovery. I'm not usually one to moan about taste, but be warned if you buy unflavoured - it tastes genuinely bad and leaves a strong (nasty) aftertaste."

"In my opinion it doesn't mix as well as the impact stuff, feels kinda lumpy when you drink it but hey ho never mind. I definitely recommend getting a flavor and as the unflavored tastes god awful. But I didn't but it for the taste! This protein is great, been using it for a while and already noticing that I am not getting DOMS as bad. Also seen some pretty good gains from gym+total protein, more gains than when I didn't use protein, but same gains as using impact. Overall I'd give this 5 stars because its great stuff, if you don't mind the lumpy poo taste! Buy a flavor, and shake it well and you'll love it! Goes well with the creapure I got with it. With that i would recommend buying more than 250g as it wasn't as much as i thought it was! Also, to anyone buying their first protein only buy 1kg first!!!"

"i have used myprotein for a good fews now, fell away with training and now back into it, just recieved a new batch of this stuff in choc mint and honestly the taste is amazing, if i could drink this like juice i would, best shake i have ever tasted, the next day i always feel 10x better and muscles dont feel so sore after a work out, would recommend this to everyone, i love this stuff :)"

"Out of the three protein shakes I have tried from different suppliers, this is the first one that I have bought for a second time. I rate the effectiveness and value of this product to be the best I've tried, however anyone who says the chocolate flavour is good is just plain and simple lying. It literally makes you gag, I had to down the whole thing, then half a litre of water after and hope I wasn't sick it was that bad. However because of it's effectiveness I thought this was worth it and bought vanilla flavour hoping it would taste better and it sure does, it's more than bearable, it's borderline tasty which from my limited experience is all you can hope for when it comes to protein shakes :D"

"I have ordered this after reading the great reviews, and have used my protein for around two years (previously used Hurricane xs, Impact whey and Alpha male). Just been reading through the comments and felt the need to add a review to point out the majority of low reviews for this product are by people complaing about the taste, which some people may find imporant fair enough. But I have read mutliple negative reviews from people who got the unflavoured version! How stupid can you be to order the unflavoured version if that is one of your priorites... Pay the extra money or man up. Rant over. Love you myprotein "

"I decided to try this out after being a strict True Whey guy. The taste is not as good but I feel that's unfair because True Whey is hands down the best tasting whey I've tasted. This still tastes pretty good (I have vanilla), the flaxseed leaves a funky after taste but only in your first couple sittings, after that you don't even remember it was there. And overall I feel this a better deal both price wise and as an overall product by having multiple sources of protein. Will buy again for sure"

"Bought this product a few weeks ago, and has it has been super effective! I saw the offer of 3kg for the price of 2.5kgs and thought i would give it a go and have to say this is the best shake ive had to date! I recently lost 5kgs in weight after having food poisoning and when i got back in the gym found i had lost a lot of strength, since taking the total protein i am back to lifting the same weights i was before and i am looking super lean! This is the only shake i will be using for a while!"

Another fine product by MyProtein. As a few have mentioned it has a slight grittiness to it but that is being picky. Taste is perfect (choc mint) although it's slightly sweet!
