Here’s your essential amino acid supplement, containing an optimal 4:1:1 ratio of leucine, isoleucine, and valine. These can’t be produced by your body, you have to get them from your diet – and that’s where we come in.
Our tablets contain three popular essential amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein – making them really important for all fitness goals, whether you’re a dancer or a lifter.
The added leucine of the 4:1:1 ratio blend makes this a popular choice throughout the fitness community.
We’ve also added vitamin B6, which contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal protein and glycogen metabolism, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Plus, the tablet form means they’re easy to have on the go.

Like chunks of the white cliffs of Dover, felt like I was swallowing a small mammal
I think these tablets are making a difference, however the same as everyone else they are far too big on more than one occasion I got the tablets stuck in my throat. Not great when your at the gym trying to find some bread to chase it down as waters just not doing it. I have since grinded them up and added to two soft gels bought on line. I will not be buying again I will buy in powder form from now on. I would rather take 4x smaller tablets than 1 of these. Goes Well With:All supplements
These are genuinely very good. I'm getting all the great benefits of BCAAs and I don't have to carry around and mix powder all the time. So why three stars you say? Well annoyingly and for some reason beyond my comprehension, MyProtein deem it necessary to add 100% of our RI of B6 Vitamin to these PER SERVING. For me, since I take three servings a day, it means I'm getting 300% of my recommended B6 vitamin intake a day. And, since it's just sensible to take a multivitamin especially when you lift, I'm getting another 150% from my Multivitamin. 450& of the recommended B6 vitamin is pointless, at the least, and dangerous for blood thiningg, at the most? Why? What's the reason for the added B6 vitamin? Why would people want B6 vitamin with their BCAAs? I couldn't find any evidence that B6 vitamin enahnces the effect of BCAAs in any way, so it just seems a case of "common practice", which isn't very beneficial. Anyway that's why the three stars, for the utterly unnecessary B6 overdose.Goes Well With:Definitely not a multivitamin
No even joking, I almost choked to death on these tablets, they are mammoth! I'm great with taking tablets and tried to take 3 at once..... for some ridiculous reason, and yes it almost killed me. If you have any difficulty in swallowing tablets, don't get these. And definitely don't try to take 3 at once....... Other than the almost dying, these have been effective for me taking along with CLA and Mega green tea :)Goes Well With:not dying, lots of water
Taking these as part of Lean in 15 Working well with my routine and goals Highly recommend
Tablets are a little hard to swallow whole. Found it easier to break them in half. The only problem then is that im taking a range of 13 smaller tablets (combined with other multivits and creatine). I get some funny looks at work, when Im gulping down so many tablets and washing them down with a protein shake, but as long as they do the job, who cares? Im more interested in the gains than what other people think ;-)
This is genuine. I'm a regular my protein customer and swear by their protein powders. But these BCAA tablets almost left me unconcious. I had one table lodge in my throat and no amount of water would take it down. Struggling to breath, I stuck two fingers down my throat and threw it up (and my dinner) after 3 mins of a struggle. Never again.Goes Well With:Death.
I bought these instead of taking the awful powder that made me feel sick. These are far too big, and I don't mind swallowing large tablets. Even cutting them in half they get stuck down my throat even though downed with a large gulp of water. Better than the powder, but could do with smaller, easier to manage tablets. would rather take 6 smaller ones at a time, that 3 larger ones...
These tablets will kill someone. They are far to large and nearly impossible to swallow even when you break them up. Contacted my protein, they couldn't care less. STAY AWAY FROM THESE.
Love the mix of 4:1:1 in these tablets. And they work for me; I have noticed a reduction in DOMS which is a real relief, and was the main reason I take them. However.......as many have said there are issues with the size of them. If I had the gag reflex of a sword swallower then it would be fine but alas life had other career plans for me. I have just reordered BCAAs from myprotein but this time have opted for the powder.
Like many of the other reviews I've seen on here I almost died several times with these. Granted I am not the worlds best when it comes to taking tablets but these are ridiculous. I'm recommended to take 4 of these at night along with others but nearly every time I choke on them. I even tried cutting them in half but as they are so thick this didn't help too much. I've taken recommendations from others on here and I'm now going to have the powder. I've heard the unflavoured one is awful but I've had the tropical which I think is very nice! I can't comment in terms of the results as I gave up after a week as it was too much to go through every night (choking is not exactly an enjoyable experience). Like others as well I'd prefer the tablets to be smaller and just have more of them.Goes Well With:Water & The Heimlich Manoeuvre.
Im normally pretty good with tablets but these are way to hard to swallow. I choke on them, if i break them in half they scratch my throat. I have to chew them up (tastes bad) then drink water.
Haven't really noticed any difference at all from when I didn't take them, perhaps I'll notice the difference when I stop...if I do, I'll do another review. I've taken some big pills though, generally they make it easy on you and make the pills with nice rounded corners and edges to make it easier to swallow, these are the biggest pills I've ever come across and they have sharp edges. They're definitely pills you feel going down your throat and there are times where they have made me choke so got to gulp down something thicker than water to dislodge them and send them on their way. Word of advice, bite them in half as you're swilling water round your mouth or take them with protein shakes.Goes Well With:No gag reflex
I've read some reviews of people being able to swallow these whole. You'd need a gold medal to be able to swallow these tablets while they are HUGE. I take vitamins and other tablets frequently but these are ridiculous and they are so sharp. Goes Well With:Water
Bought these as they came up as suitable for vegetarians on the filter. They arrived today and clearly say 'not suitable for vegetarians' on the side.
These are large tablets but I've become accustomed to swallowing them (wouldn't recommend halving them as this just seemed to ensure they got stuck mid throat!) but have found them a far better alternative to the powder (awful tasting stuff!) Seeing great results (fat loss) from taking these and protein. Goes Well With:Huge gulps of water
Hard to swallow need a lot of water to take them
I was very disappointed with these, they are so huge I cannot swallow them. I started choking on them so then tried to cut them in half but had same problem, feel like I wasted my money on them as I can't use them. I was recommended to take 4 at bedtime - can't even take 1. I take a lot of vitamin supplements so am used to taking pills, feeling disappointed.
Sorry it's not a review, I am just trying to find out if you can crush these tabs down to powder then take as I can't swallow them even in thirds, any help much appreciated.
These tablets are effective but should come with a choking hazard difficult to swallow even when halved may go for powder form next time.
