    Overview

    Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid (EFA) that is sourced from fish oil. Fatty acids are the basis of fats & oils, and are necessary for overall health and well being. They are essential to the human body because they are a component of every living cell in the body. EFAs are necessary for rebuilding existing cells and the production of new cells. Essential fatty acids are made up of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) which are both long chain fatty acids that have been shown to provide a number of health benefits.

    A number of studies have shown that fish oil can reduce the risk of heart disease, reduce the incidence of strokes, and improve some measures of depression. Recent studies have also shown that essential fatty acids can direct glucose (from digested carbohydrates) towards glycogen storage while at the same time directing other fatty acids in the body away from triglyceride synthesis (fat storage) and towards fatty acid oxidation. In simple terms, essential fatty acids appear to conserve carbohydrates while simultaneously burning fat.

      Bought the 1000 capsule option for a great value way of getting your daily epa/dha in. Super cheap product and very beneficial try and get 1.5g-3g of epa/dha combined a day and this is certainly a great cheap and easy way of doing it.
