Soy Protein Isolate boasts the highest protein content of any soy protein powder. Our Soy Protein Isolate is made from 100% NON-GMO defatted soy beans suing a stringent process which removes a vast majority of the fat and carbohydrate content. The resulting product yields over 90% protein content with minimal fat and carbohydrate, whilst being completely free of lactose.
Soy Protein Isolate is the ideal choice for vegetarians, vegans and those with special dietary requirements such as lactose intolerance. Soy Protein Isolate unfairly gets labelled as inferior to other high-end proteins such as Whey Protein, but is in fact a complete protein source so it sits equally alongside other protein sources such as Whey and Milk. Its moderate rate of digestion makes it a great accompaniment to Whey Protein
Soy Protein Isolate does NOT affect estrogen production as suggested by a number of unfounded myths. In a number of studies looking at such issues, there was no reported difference between those that use Soy Protein and those that don't.
Soy Protein Isolate is the closest vegetable protein that resembles meat proteins and boasts an excellent amino acid profile.
Soy Protein Isolate has a neutral flavour compared to other soy products and is FREE of Lactose and Gluten and is also GM free.
The amino acid profile can be found at the bottom of the page under 'Certificates'.

Sujit Choudhary - (20 / May / 2013)
I received excellent service for this Soy Protein Isolate. It goes with many things such as water, juice, milk etc. This tastes good and is really effective. I feel energetic and healthy.Goes Well With:Best with milk + chocolate powder
Flavoured V Unflavoured
Danielle - (20 / May / 2013)
I have now purchased both the flavoured and none flavoured versions of this Soy Protein Isolate. Whilst I thought that the chocolate version was very enjoyable, I am having a little trouble stomaching the unflavoured version of this product. The unflavoured protein is fine when mixed in with fruit as a smoothie, but on its own (especially when mixed with water), it is not very appetising. If you are on a budget then by all means purchase the unflavoured version, however be aware that although this product has no flavour it does taste a little bitty to drink and leaves an after taste. I would recommend purchasing the chocolate version. I couldn't fault it. I will certainly be purchasing the chocolate version in future over the unflavoured. The chocolate version is much more enjoyable and you don't have to worry about what you are going to mix it with to be able to enjoy the shake instead of just gulping it down as fast as possible. Goes Well With:Chocolate: Milk, Water. Unflavoured: Fruit/Smoothie (something that masks the after taste).
Whey VS Soy
CJB - (15 / May / 2013)
I recently purchased Soy Protein Isolate after using hurricane XS. I was amazed at the price and thought I should get a supply to try out. The protein itself feels a lot more natural than whey proteins and mixes well. However the taste isn't as pleasing, I purchased the unflavored pouch which may be why, however it's more the aftertaste. I still believe it to be a good good option as it is cheaper and after a good workout, I can't see who would be complaining about the taste of their shake. There are so many myths about bad effects of soy on the internet, don't listen, suppliers are biased as they want to sell their more expensive powder. Alternatively, Myprotein clearly states differences and doesn't fight against personal preference. Goes Well With:Dextrose powder+ Vitamin C
juicer - (14 / May / 2013)
I am on to my 3rd bag of this Soy Protein Isolate. It may not be as sweet as most other protein shakes however I was quite pleased with the taste and it mixes just fine. I have found great strength increases over a couple of months and will continue to use this especially for the great price.Goes Well With:creatine
good source of protein
mike - (12 / May / 2013)
I avoid dairy and am happy with this Soy Protein Isolate as a source of protein. I buy the unflavoured pouches, and just mix it up with nesquik and water. It blends well and has good effects. Buying for a friend too because so impressed with it.Goes Well With:nesquik
Tastes Awful
DaveT83 - (09 / May / 2013)
Previously I have had two 2.5kg unflavoured Soy Protein Isolate pouches and even though the taste was not nice it was bearable. However, the pouch that came yesterday tastes different and is unbearable. It also foams a lot when mixing, it makes me think it's the wrong powder or the ingredients have changed.Goes Well With:Nothing
A nicer way to take it!
Mark FF - (08 / May / 2013)
I agree with the other reviewers that this tastes absolutely foul on its own! However, I mix it with muesli, a banana, some soya milk and sucralose and it tastes pretty good. You need a fair amount of milk or it becomes like wallpaper paste, and I would suggest putting the soy protein in first otherwise it will float on the top and make it much more difficult to mix together! Goes Well With:Muesli, banana and soya milk
Great protein
Moinz - (08 / May / 2013)
I suffer with Ulcerative Colitis, so I am basically lactose intolerant. After drinking whey protein for years and seeing no benefits I finally realised my mistakes and switched to this Soy Protein Isolate. It has definitely made a positive impact on my training as I am now getting all the benefits from the shake. The taste is average, I use the chocolate and it's not too bad. Overall this is a good product, I just wish they did it in larger bags!
OK
Irfan - (06 / May / 2013)
Soy Protein Isolate is ok, mixes fairly well but seems to foam up lots. Taste is horrid.Goes Well With:Water/milk
Worst protein ever, tastes so revolting
Col - (06 / May / 2013)
I have tried lots of protein brands over the years and I thought I had tried some bad ones. Soy Protein Isolate is on a whole new scale. It tastes so foul.
Good Product
Josh - (04 / May / 2013)
I've seen no difference between the effects of this Soy Protein Isolate and whey protein, however it is certainly less enjoyable to drink. However, I'd still recommend it, given its extra benefits.
Soy Protein Isolate
Abbey - (01 / May / 2013)
Since I'm lactose intolerance, I decided to try this Soy Protein Isolate. At first I bought the strawberry cream which I thought was a bit disgusting for the first few days, then I started to get used to the taste and it's okay but not something I crave! I then bought the unflavoured because I thought it wouldn't taste of anything but it was worse! So I decided to mix them both together with a banana and honestly it tastes pretty amazing! I'd recommend just getting the strawberry cream other than unflavoured and mixing it with a banana, it's just the fact I need to use the unflavoured up before trying any other tastes but it's decent. Goes Well With:Banana and Coconut milk!
Soy protein isolate
poggo - (01 / May / 2013)
I have been using the unflavoured blend of Soy Protein Isolate for over a year now, I'm still unsure of the benefits that it gives. But I can train quite hard 5 days a week and don't really suffer from DOMS, so it helps with that. I have just purchased some of the strawberry and cream flavoured protein and after initial taste doubts I now quite enjoy it.
Sha - (01 / May / 2013)
I bought this Soy Protein Isolate as my dietary intake of protein was too low. One glass of soya milk with the suggested amount of this powder and I am getting the 'loosely' recommended amount of protein needed. I have found my energy levels do seem to have increased even after only consuming for 2 weeks. The taste is more than tolerable when mixed with sweetened soya milk but not sure I could drink it with water! It needs to be mixed thoroughly. I will be certainly ordering more. I enjoyed very quick delivery as well.
First Time.
geordie - (30 / Apr / 2013)
This is the first time I have tried Soy Protein Isolate. My reason for trying this was to cut down on dairy intake to stop mucus build up in my system and congestion. So far so good. I find the taste fine, it's a bit chalky but OK. It mixes well with water and/or soya pouring yogurt which improves the taste. As for gains in the gym, it's still early days but I will order again.
The taste is unbearable
Seamus - (29 / Apr / 2013)
The main issue with this Soy Protein Isolate is the taste. I mixed it with many different things, and nothing seems to reduce the horrible taste. I can drink a few mouth fulls before I feel like throwing it all up again, it really is that bad. It mixed OK, but goes like a sort of paste which some people may not like. As for building muscle, it's OK, not great, but then again I didn't use it long enough to give a solid review on that aspect.Goes Well With:Nothing!
works for me
RT66 - (29 / Apr / 2013)
I decided recently that at 66, I wasn't too old to build/rebuild muscle, so started a regime of creatine monohydrate and Soy Protein Isolate. I was a little dubious as I hadn't tried this brand before, but I was pleasantly surprised. I went for the strawberry flavour. I've always mixed shakes using a hand held electric mixer. With this approach it mixed well and quickly. It's a little on the sweet side, but other than that an acceptable taste. It's a good product and I will be coming back for more.Goes Well With:water
Yum!
bjparker19 - (29 / Apr / 2013)
This Soy Protein Isolate is the first time that I have had a flavoured protein and I really enjoyed it. I use it in smoothies anyway and it went really well and I will definitely buy it again. I only buy my protein from this site anyway as it's great service!
Not for all
LightWeight - (28 / Apr / 2013)
First time bought vegan protein, not very impressed! Effectiveness certainly not there, I know every protein does not work for everyone! My suggestion, try it if it work overall go for it! Goes Well With:Those who find it effective, not for everyone!
Monty - (26 / Apr / 2013)
I work in construction, so I'm constantly lifting and mauling etc. I have been having two large scoops of Soy Protein Isolate with a pint of milk at lunchtime for three weeks now. All I can say is that my days have got a little easier because I feel a lot stronger. I've tried a lot of protein shakes over the years and Soy feels a lot 'cleaner' somehow. For the money it's great, I had unflavoured by the way. Just ordered some flavouring to kill off whats left in my bag. Soy is great value for money! Goes Well With:Oats n Milk
Chalky
Dontsendimdaahn - (25 / Apr / 2013)
It's cheap, but chalky. You can't have it all can you. I always find the flavours too strong so I mix unflavoured with strawberry cream about 60/40. It seems to be doing the job. Goes Well With:Lifting Weights
Soy Protein
eezageezauk - (22 / Apr / 2013)
Soy Protein Isolate is an effective protein. I have been taking it for approximately 8 weeks and have noticeable changes in body composition and fat reduction. It mixes well with no lumps, however it tastes powdery. I have used both the strawberry flavour and unflavoured powder. I prefer the latter due to the price which is extremely competitive. I mix unflavoured with 10% flavoured (strawberry) to slightly improve taste.Goes Well With:creatine ethyl ester
verry good
naighba - (18 / Apr / 2013)
To anyone who has an issue whith the taste of this product its a protein not a mass gainer full of sugars. It tastes exactly how its suposed to for a 90% protein product. If you buy this for the taste than you bought the wrong thing. Try the gainers. Works well mixes well great price add some whey, bcaa , creatine and vitamins and you are fine if you are a mezomorph like me. Thanks and have a great workout.Goes Well With:I use it mixed with a whey prot and creatine mixed in milk.
Is this from B&Q?
Mike - (18 / Apr / 2013)
Bought this after reading reviews, some people said it was nasty, others said its fine, so I trusted them, what a mistake. It's like licking a wall. It doesn't mix at all in my blender, I put it in, added water and it turned to cement. The people who can handle the taste of this must have chewed on their plastic toys throughout their childhood.
poor
lee - (16 / Apr / 2013)
I purchased 5kg of this Soy Protein Isolate and I've got to say how its gets 5 stars I don't know. It doesn't taste nice, doesn't mix well and the texture is very paste/grainy. Me and my wife don't like it... but if you want a none milk based protein then go with it. I only bought this because it was on sale, with great protein content but mixability is very poor.
ttippi1 - (16 / Apr / 2013)
Due to being lactose intolerant this Soy Protein Isolate is an effective alternative, with a high ratio of protein per scoop it meets my training demands.
Danielle - (15 / Apr / 2013)
I found the Soy Protein Isolate to be excellent. It mixes well, tastes good and helps my recovery. I would recommend this to a friend. Goes Well With:milk, water.
Would recommend to those with lactose problems
fatassmonkey - (12 / Apr / 2013)
This Soy Protein Isolate is the first and only non milk based protein shake I've tried and it's not bad. I've been using it for several months now and I've noticed some good results. However, the taste is nasty on its own, it makes me heave but mixed with honey or nesquik it's not bad. Also this still makes me pass wind a lot but I've found that if I take digestive enzyme tablets with it, it stops it completely. So overall I would recommend this to anyone with lactose problems, if not stick to the good stuff (whey protein). Goes Well With:Honey, nesquik and Digestive enzyme tablets to help with uncontrollable gas
Soy protein
Mike - (12 / Apr / 2013)
Used it for the last couple of months and impressed with the results. I wanted a produced which was good value for money and low in carbs. The only down side is the taste is not great, what I would say is that after a week or so I got used to it. Goes Well With:It does say it can be mixed with milk but I just mix it with water which works fine.
Only good for smoothies!
mariz - (10 / Apr / 2013)
Mixes quite well, but the taste on its own is awful! (I got the vanilla). It is good in fruit/vegetable smoothies, but I'll stick to my Vegablend from now on!Goes Well With:vegetable/fruit smoothies
Strawberry Cream
Jay - (09 / Apr / 2013)
Initially I thought I had chosen terribly as the product did not blend at all! Using the MyProtein Egg Shaped mixer though, it turns the shake into a creamy delightful blend which tastes unbelievable & fluffy, to the point where I can't wait to have the next shake! In terms of results I have been taking the shake 4x a day Morning, pre & post work-out and before bed along with a high protein diet and seen good results in terms of lean muscle mass and reduced body fat percentage. Great supplement and would recommend giving it a go if you are looking for an additional protein source.Goes Well With:MyProtein Thermopure
Abz - (09 / Apr / 2013)
It is pretty good. I have around 20 grams in the morning and 20grams after workout (w/ water(400ml)). The taste is pretty poor, but just add about 15g of Nesquik and add some syrup or honey and its fine. It may be better to use a blender with this product, but a shaker is still good. Even though the product is great, I probably won't be buying it again, as I prefer the Impact whey protein. Goes Well With:Creatine monohydrate
cc - (09 / Apr / 2013)
Soy Protein Isolate is very good.
good in parts
jaydee - (05 / Apr / 2013)
I bought the unflavoured version of Soy Protein Isolate for reasons of economy, the taste is earthy, but with a couple of spoonfuls of low-fat hot chocolate powder added to the shaker, it becomes OK. The other issue is that it thickens very quickly in the shaker, you have to eat it with a spoon, so I give it a few shakes (it mixes well) and down the hatch straight away. I think it's a healthier alternative to whey protein. I have gained a bit of muscle since using it, but that isn't my main motive, I am 67!Goes Well With:Cocoa powder
mark - (05 / Apr / 2013)
Tastes okay and mixes well.
Twm - (05 / Apr / 2013)
Wasn't sure on the taste at first, but it isn't so bad. Been mixing it in with instant oats which makes a good breakfast! Great product for the price, but I wouldn't want to use it for making shakes.
Grumpy - (04 / Apr / 2013)
There is only one way to describe the taste-aweful. The only way I can face it is mixing it with chocolate nesquick and blending it with a banana. Without ihis it has the texture of liquid chalk and an unpalatable taste. Once blended though it is very effective
Bigdog - (04 / Apr / 2013)
I have only just started using this product, but to me it tastes good for an unflavoured protein when compared with whey, and pea protein. It tastes like ready break when mixed with milk so all in all im happy with the product up to now. The delivery was very fast, took 2 days!!!Goes Well With:Milk
Does the job well
Tom - (31 / Mar / 2013)
I started seeing results very quickly after I started using Soy Protein Isolate. I wouldn't say it tasted good, but I got used to it after having the first couple with some squash mixed in.
Great product
jwm1098 - (29 / Mar / 2013)
Soy Protein Isolate is a good alternative protein source, with about 30g per serving. Unflavoured is truly that. I use this post workout for some slower release protein, mixed with whey and waxy maize starch. All unflavoured tastes fine, but more importantly I have noticed less soreness and more strength gains since adding a couple of helpings of this into my daily intake. Goes Well With:Whey, Waxy maize starch, Instant oats.
Superb!
Marley - (28 / Mar / 2013)
Soy Protein Isolate has saved me a lot of hassle. Due to unknown reasons, my body has decided to reject all forms of whey protein, despite drinking it for 3+ years. I ordered this as a tester and it worked superbly, and I was able to keep it down no bother. I find when drinking it it's a lot easier on your stomach and digestive system than basic whey. I'm currently drinking 3 (60g) shakes a day. I had the vanilla flavour, which isn't superb, but drinkable when downed. Goes Well With:Creatine, AAKG, MCT, Oats.
Vee - (27 / Mar / 2013)
Best purchase ever, very cheap and high quality.Goes Well With:maltodextrin
Jay - (27 / Mar / 2013)
Tastes a bit chalky if you try it on its own. Has this grainy texture. Didn't go well with oatmeal porridge but it's okay if you mix it in with soups. I'll buy the My Protein flavouring soon and try the two together. I'd recommend this to vegans and vegetarians in need of more protein. TIP: Use a milk frother and you won't have to worry about mixability.Goes Well With:Soup
Necrojesta - (26 / Mar / 2013)
I ordered 7.5kg of this for an astonishing price - £38. Now to put it into perspective my closest Holland and Barrett will sell me a whopping 908grams of whey for £45 or so. It's worth mentioning I did get this due to a 50% discount (with added bulk discount and my first purchase discount) but nevertheless it's phenomenal value. Now I'm very limited financially, so I purchased unflavoured. I decided after much thought that I'd buy it, mix around 100 grams of oats into it also, and some coffee - it has a strong taste and is readily available to me, so I thought to try and disguise the taste. Now I just finished this shake and it was only tremendous willpower on my part that prevented me from violently throwing it up all over the room and myself. Regardless of this, I have learned a lesson. This is to blend my oats into a flour next time so it isn't so lumpy and as for the taste I'll have to adjust. It's worth mentioning it mixed wonderfully in my blender bottle. The point worth stressing though is that at the price I picked this up at, I cannot find a single complaint due to the frankly insane discount offered.
soya. yummy
Big Bad Bob. - (26 / Mar / 2013)
Bought two 2.5kg bags of Soy Protein Isolate, the first bag tasted awful more like hemp protein than soya, but I used it as had hemp protein before and it's very good. Just started on second bag and this bag tastes like soya should, with kind of a nutty taste. They both mix very easy with water, and don't end up like wallpaper paste like some protein drinks. I will be ordering more.
good stuff
dellboy1983 - (26 / Mar / 2013)
Never tried Soy Protein before, but it seems good though and I'm feeling strong. Setting reasonable gains and muscles feel good. Taste is very malty, but mix with some chocolate powder or some flavour drops and it's fine.
dirty
Grant - (24 / Mar / 2013)
I bought the unflavoured soya and it is one of the worst tasting things i have ever experienced. I even tried it with nesquick and my other shakes. Nothing will make this taste nice, it has the consistency of wall paint and chalk.
decent vegan protein
Andreas - (22 / Mar / 2013)
This is one of the best soy protein I have ever had. The vanilla flavour is very nice.
pleased
Lutzy - (21 / Mar / 2013)
Having read previous reviews of the Soy Protein Isolate I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and mixability. It also seems effective. Thankyou!
Best Value Protein
Craig - (20 / Mar / 2013)
I got the unflavoured Soy Protein Isolate. It has a slight chalky taste to it, but is drinkable on its own. It is great for adding to flavoured protein if you wish to 'bulk up' your shake. The protein content is through the roof. It's great value for money and a great alternative (or addition) to whey. I couldn't ask for more.Goes Well With:Any flavoured protein, or great on its own too.
