As a massive foodie this mid morning meal really hits the spot. 100% luxury. At first i didn't really think much of the pancake mix but with my experience as a chef I decided to persist and managed to perfect it! Here's how: 50g Pancake Mix (I use the maple syrup) 125ml water (this may look a bit thin when added but trust me on this ;) ) Optional: Dried/fresh fruit and/or nuts (make sure you cut the fruit up into little bits and crumble the nuts) 15g Mascapone 25ml Apro Hazelnut milk Heat a non stick pan to hot/very hotBreak down any lumps in the pancake powder with the whisk before adding the water. There is no need for any oil/butter/spray oil, they will not stick. Pour in the water all at once and whisk for say 30 seconds until smooth. Pour half of the mix into the pan evenly (making sure the pan is flat). Sprinkle on half of your prepared nuts and/or fruit. Now here's the important bit: make sure you only cook the first side jsut to the point where it starts to pubble and theres still a little liquid ontop. Now using a spatula, carefully flip it over. The pancake is now 90% cooked. Cook the second side now for literally a few second, this way the its still going to be nice and moist inside as the pancake has still maintained it's moisture. Repeat again for the second pancake. Now I like to mix the mascapone and hazelnut milk until it starts to froth. Then pour over the top (this makes the pancake super moist). Enjoy guys, you will not regret buying this.Goes Well With:Fresh/Dried Fruit Nuts
I have the maple syrup flavor pancake mix and it is amazing! Especially if you have a sweet tooth. The only downfall is that they might be a bit TOO sweet. I admit that I get a bit bored with my entirely savory diet and these hit the spot! I couldn't have ate another sweet thing all day! Goes Well With:Chopped banana in the mixture - IT CARAMELIZES!
These little ditty's taste amazing. I bought the standard mix and used unsweetened Almond Milk to blend with. Have started adding Cinnamon and 100% Raw Cacao into the mix. Top it off with some Blueberries and 100% Peanut Butter. Works a treat!Goes Well With:Blueberries. 100% Raw Cocoa. 100% Peanut Butter.
I can't understand why people are rating these low?! The only thing that requires a bit of thought is that they mix with lumps sometimes. Solution: pour the mixture into a blender, blend for 30 seconds, done. Perfectly smooth mixture with no lumps. To stop it sticking I use some 1 cal. fry light spray (no problems) peals of the pan easy. I use about 4 sprays per pancake to ensure it doesn't stick (can't moan at 4 extra calories). They cook in about 3 minutes and the only addition I make to the recipe is a chopped banana on top! I have the golden syrup flavoured pancakes and when I made them I was a bit sceptical about the taste, however when I tried one I was pleasantly surprised! They tasted amazing! I couldn't stop eating them! The standard mix of 50g to 150ml of milk was a bit thick for me so I added 200ml of milk and it made 4 small and thick pancakes. Product is very simple to use and tastes great! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be purchasing again!Goes Well With:Chopped Banana
golden syrup flavor is nasty all I can taste is artificial flavor and sweeteners they should do this in a unflavored option and you can add your own flavor of choice Goes Well With:nothing
They taste amazing. They keep me filled up for hours. They're REALLY easy to make. If you want them extra fluffy - add an egg. I'm just going to keep buying them. Have tried all the flavours and love them all.
As someone who often misses breakfast this give me something quick, easy and fulfilling to eat in less than 5 mins and is obviously much better for you than a stop en-route to the office. Will definitely be re ordering, I purchased the Golden Syrup version, yes it is sweet but hey it is a pancake after all....
Very excellent taste, ordering several times, never disappointed
Very happy I bought these! Not only a relatively high level of protein, but low carbs, meaning I can add what I want without feeling overly guilty. I like to either enjoy as a breakfast or as a pudding/snack to curb a sweet tooth. It took a few attempts to perfect, but now its very quick to create a high protein meal or snack. I noticed a few lumps in the shaker I used, but was unable to tell once cooked. Goes Well With:Bananas and maple syrup MyProtein smooth peanut butter
Bought MP's Maple Syrup flavour. Very very tasty! Not too sweet. Just right and nice and moist too.Tried this pancake mix because I was getting tried of protein bars and wanted something for work that had good ingredients and nutritional profile. Plus it's very cheap. This has twice the protein content of most bars and is very filling compared to endlessly having protein shakes. Very easy to make either in the morning or the night before and put it in the fridge. Vanilla would be a great flavour to introduce MP! :)Goes Well With:Omega Balance :)
Great product like the taste but needs to be made very thin
Recently bought these and they are already my new favourite breakfast! Bought the unflavoured version - I have 1.5 scoops with 100ml almond milk and that makes 2 good size pancakes (I like them slightly thicker!). I mixed it in a shaker with a ball and it mixed pretty well, although there were still a few lumps left. I found them so easy and quick to cook!! I don't think i'd like to eat the plain ones by themselves, but when you have them with fruit etc they taste sooooo good! They are really fluffy too. And they are SO FILLING! If I have these for breakfast I know I won't be hungry again until lunch. Goes Well With:Fruit, peanut butter, honey, maple syrup
So easy to do it and getting 20gr of protein just like that. Love this product totally!!! Shame didn't get more!
Love these pancakes. Tried the unflavoured one at first, which were ok but found had to add toppings to them for added taste. Following this I bought the maple syrup ones and they taste so good! I don't need to put anything on them, although I am not sure of the nutrition value for these ones. They mix really well and if you only cook just for a minute each side they do not go dry. Excellent for breakfast as gives you a feeling of fullness of protein and carbs, or as an after dinner treat if you have a sweet tooth but don't want to eat something unhealthy! Will continue to buy these, would love the nutrition info for them!Goes Well With:Honey, Banana
Great value pancakes, excellent macros. Perfect protein breakfast!
I got maple syrup flavour and these are the absolute BOMB. Had chocolate before but these are way better. I think they mix okay too.. I find 125ml of water is best and you've got to be patient when cooking them to keep them from sticking or tearing but that's pancakes!Goes Well With:Cinnamon & calorie free pancake syrup
I made the mistake of buying the unflavoured one to start with, it tastes and feels like cardboard. A syrup or topping will be required. I have since bought the golden syrup and chocolate flavoured one and these were much tastier and sweeter they can be eaten on their own. Only take a few minutes to make, a big thin pancake works better than small fat ones in my opinion. Great product when you get the flavour right for your taste.Goes Well With:Syrup
Like all pancakes, the first couple you make you always chuck away and it's nodifferent here. Found the first one far too thick, added a bit extra water and then used a smaller frying pan and boom, perfection! A lot more filling than I thought so unless you're Dwayne Johnson then go easy with the portionsGoes Well With:Chocolate Peanut butter, almonds
I chose the golden syrup flavour. I was very suprised at how good these pancakes tasted. I actually now prefer them to less healthy pancakes . They cooked really fast and we're full of flavour. I made 2 small pancakes out of one scoop so a whole packet will last quite a while. I found making 1 pancake out of 1 scoop made them too thick but each to their own. Mixture mixed really easily and it didn't have any lumps. Great product will Def be purchasing again Goes Well With:Strawberries bluberries and greek yoghurt
I love golden syrup flavour mixes really well taste so good and satisfies my sweet tooth 😆
Very nice taste. Suitable for breakfast or snack. Easy to prepare. Definitely recommended.
the texture to these pancakes are horrible, and the taste was a little sickening (golden syrup flavour) Though it does have a good protein content and drowning them in honey and butter made them tolerable.
I have these for breakfast on a regular basis and they are very filling and great for cutting as they are low in carbs and high in protein. Flavours are great I've hade maple syrup, golden syrup and original. All ways on my order list.Goes Well With:Natural yoghurt and fruit.
Firstly I am an avid fan of myprotein products and have had nothing but fantastic opinions of it's goods. Having noticed that myprotein do a pancake mixture (and I do love pancakes!) I thought that I would give this a go. Had no issues with the delivery, speedy as usual however when I went to have these for breakfast It was nothing short of an absolute disaster. So following the instructions as best I can I pour the mixture into the pan and the pancake doesn't even settle instead it just becomes an omelett-like bubbly mess. After a good while I accept that perhaps it is a fault on my part with the measurements, shrugged then tried again...and again...and again. Long story short I ended up chucking (quite literally) the bag of mix all round my kitchen. To end this review on a positive though I fully recommend the myprotein cookies as they are still as efficient with MUCH less hassle. Thanks for reading!Goes Well With:The packaging, especially when it is in the bin
Got the maple syrup pancakes as part of a deal that was being done over easter, so easy to make and a great way to top up protein. Found it mixed really well, but although there is a maple taste there, they are really really sweet, which also leaves a strange sweet after taste in your mouth which is the only thing that they are let down on.Goes Well With:Anything bitter (lemon) to try and counter the sweetness
Super easy to make and make a really good snack to carry around and take to training. Maple syrup flavour is awesome.
Brilliant product. i have it for breakfast, quick, easy, tastes great and the added extra protein. chocolate and unflavoured are both great. Goes Well With:nutella and banana or protein sauce. also great alone.
Brilliant mix-ability, soo easy and quick, tastes brilliant (had plain, chocolate and golden syrup) Make small pancakes and add less water than it says. After getting used to how they cook, the results are great. Props to MPGoes Well With:Hunger
Maple syrup flavour is too sweet. Mixes well however a nightmare to cook and if not eaten straight away is disgusting
Best product on MyProtein, absolutely love it! It's high protein, low carb (and sugar) and sooooo delicious. I am getting a pouch with every purchase now!Goes Well With:nothing, the pancake is sweet and tasty as it is.
I have just recently started properly training and going to the gym. My friend recommended My Protein and I am very impressed. I was expecting protein anything to be plain and not tasty, and just something I would need to rebuild muscle... I definitely didn't think that it would taste DELICIOUS!. Firstly, the prospect of pancakes excited me beyond belief. They are the easiest thing to make- particularly in the morning, with a bit of yogurt and fruit, when there isn't much time. They taste great! They are very fluffy and not as dense as normal pancakes, which makes them appeal to me even more (they don't make me feel guilty ;)) and are extremely versatile. They can be a breakfast, a savory dinner, or a dessert! Very impressed with this mix. Plus, the service is always great. I have made quite a few orders over the last few months and there has always been speedy delivery, no mix up, and great products! I am looking forward to trying out more...Goes Well With:Yogurt, fruit, maple syrup, ice cream, chocolate/toffee sauce, bacon...
I bought this as protein drinks often make me feel sick but I have had no problems with this and it is delicious too! Easy and quick to make!Goes Well With:Banana or blueberries
Very good as additional meal. I ate them with cocoa powder, very nice taste.. I also tried them with liquid chocolate, maybe it have to much sugar but taste is very good..Goes Well With:Cocoa powder, chocolate
My boyfriend and me absolutely love the maple syrup flavoured one. It fills us up until lunch and is really delicious. Goes Well With:Banana blueberries blackberries cottage cheese nut butters
I ordered my first lot of @myprotein golden syrup protein pancake mix and love it! Saves time in the morning along with awesome taste and effectiveness! I will be ordering more soon 💪....Goes Well With:Blueberries, banana....
Doesn't cook at all well. I bought the chocolate flavored mix and after 3 attempts of cooking "pancakes" the mix just burns and sticks to the pan. Would not recommend at all, much better to make your own mix and add a scoop.
Disclaimer: I might be spoiled by home-made French crepes. But I didn't like the taste of this mix at all. It's way too sweet and artificial tasting. I've got the golden flavour version and won't order it anytime soon again. Also this mixture is not suitable for crepes (large in diameter and super-thin), I followed the steps at the package and it just burned and I had to scratch it off the crepes pan. But it worked well in a small pancake pan where you make those little yet thick pancakes. Also I noticed that just mixing it in a shaker with water and using with *no oil* at all works best, which is nice because the preparation time is like 30 seconds. Still - the horribly sweet taste with the artificial touch is putting me away from this. I love MP, buy regularly a lot of their products, but this is a no-go for me.Goes Well With:unsweetened filling, fresh fruit.
Pancakes mixed easily and were definately tasty! I almost can't believe how good they taste! If im being a bit naughty I put peanut butter, greek yoghurt, berries and cinamon on them and its soooo good. Defo a good source of protein and aweosme for breakfast- keep you full for a long time! The only thing with the golden syprup flavour is that it does leave that 'sweetener taste' afterwards (obviously...because it has sweeteners in it...) but if you're not used to the taste of sweeteners this may be off putting! I've just ordered a 500g bag of the unflavoured one and I'm planning on adding vanilla and cinamon to the mix to make it taste good :) rather than sweeteners/chemical things. Goes Well With:water
Bought the sample pack to try out & loved it, easy to mix up & make & tastes good too. Keeps me fuller for longer
I used to try and make my own protein pancakes and they always ended up a burnt mess! This pancake mix mixes well with normal and almond milk, the mix can be a little lumpy but it doesn't matter as when it's cooked they disappear. They make perfect pancakes and I'm obsessed! I have them most mornings as they are quick, delicious and give me a great protein boost in the morning. I usually buy the golden syrup which is my favourite - ideal for those with a sweet tooth! I have also tried the chocolate mix which I have as a treat with Nutella and dark choc chips! The chocolate mix is a lot richer and thicker. Goes Well With:Honey Banana Greek yoghurt Blueberries
love this really easy to make and tastes great, a nice change from a shake for breakfast
Overall very happy with this, texture and everything comes out just as youd expect from a normal pancake. The taste is very sweet though, first time i used almond milk which was abit too sweet and then i tried water although I didn't cook it well so I think next will be skimmed milk. Great product though perfect for a sweet tooth. And can't argue with the nutrition values.Goes Well With:Raisens, skimmed milk, berries.
Mixed brilliantly, no lumps, cooked easily. These are quite spongy pancakes but really fill a hole. They are sweet tasting which is ok but i think i'll go for the unflavoured next time
You can either mix it with water during diet period or almond milk, the taste is very very delicious! Other benefit is that the process does not take more than 7 minutes and you can eat it! I love it! I tried all flavour . Goes Well With:Water / milk / almond milk
Made these for the first time the other day, I prefer the flavourless mix as I like to top with fruit and honey or a little syrup. They were really easy to make, and tasted lovely with my toppings, will certainly be buying more when I run out. Goes Well With:Bananas and Maple Syrup
The pancake mix is fab! The Macros are perfect for me and it's very filling. My fav flavour is caramel ☺️. My only thing would be you need to use more milk than it says and take it to 200ml and it takes a while to mix - I buy it most weeks, we all have pancakes for breakfast here 😊Goes Well With:Greek yogurt
I ordered the golden syrup flavour as a freeby. Mixes well, its a great dose of protein and very kind to macros but... It tastes foul. The texture is akin to that of damp cardboard. I tried using 100ml to start which was too dry once cooked and flat. Second attempt 150ml yielded no improvement. Third attempt I beat two egg whites stiff and folded into 150ml plus powder. Looked promising. The pancakes seemed fluffier and whatnot but texture was still horrendous just in a different way. Taste was still abhorrent. A wee part of me died. Bottom line: great for protein. But you are sacrificing taste and your dignity.Goes Well With:A strong gag reflex. Not even joking with that.
After reading the reviews on the pancake mix I thought I'd give it a go and can 100% honestly say I was still shocked, even after reading how good it is, at how good it actually is! Not only is it super super quick and easy to make, it tastes fantastic! I'm rubbish at having consistent breakfasts but since using this i find it so much easier, especially fitting it in around a morning workout. It tastes so good and is so filling you defiantly feel like your having a cheat meal. defiantly worth a try for those who haven't yet!Goes Well With:anything - even tastes great on its own!
AMAZING! SO MUCH! I love it! The best flavour is in my opinion golden syrup. These pancakes saved my life, thanks so much for it! And i highly recommend it!Goes Well With:Just water. With some banana, strawberries and WF syrups.. awesome, oh.
I bought two packets thinking that i could eat my favourite snack instead of the protein cookies ive been having. But nope. These are more like crepes, with far to many sweeteners in them. I bought maple syrup and golden syrup. No good either of them. Im not alone, friends think its nasty too. I cant finish the two packets i got. Easy to make however, scoop and water in my protein shakers. Perhaps the plain one would be nice. Even with loads of sugary jam it doesnt taste great atm. Just a nope from myself and friends.
