L Glutamine is one of the 20 amino acids required for the functioning of muscles in the body. Amino acids are the building blocks that form proteins to maintain cellular health and tissue repair. Glutamine is found in varying amounts in most meat and fish as well as, to a small extent, in vegetables and pulses.
Glutamine is a semi essential amino acid that the body is able to produce in small amounts; however the majority of it must come from the diet and this is where L glutamine amino acids can be beneficial in your supplementation regime. The L glutamine tablets are easy to swallow and provide a quick way to get one of your essential amino acids.
Glutamine is for anyone engaged in a long term physical training plan, whereby getting the right dietary balance of amino acids is absolutely essential. The body requires the right kind of nutrients in order to perform and develop correctly, and whether these come from food or from supplements, they are needed for many purposes.
L glutamine is suitable for both vegans and vegetarians.
As a dietary supplement we recommend consuming 5 tablets, 1 to 3 times daily. L glutamine can be consumed throughout the day, however is most beneficial first thing in the morning, pre and post workout and before bed. L glutamine can be mixed with plain water or can be combine with your favourite juices and pre-workouts.

Must say this is a great product! I have always used l glutamin powder and found it difficult to take the powder with me in my gym bag along with my other supplements, and it was more time spent mixing in a little cup to take post workout. But the tables are fast, quick and easy and saves room as I can put them in a small pill box. I found them very easy to swallow so I do not know why everyone says they are hard to swallow!

It's a good quantity of L-glutamine - each tab is 1000mg which means that I only need to take one at a go. Value for money.
However, they are rather large, and don't taste fantastic (in fact, far from it)
They break easily enough into two bits, but the crumbly texture means you get left with quite the bitter after taste.

Ok I've had mine for a couple of days now. These things are pretty big and you are supposed to take 5 per serving. I've choked on them a few times even after I started breaking them in half. Sticking your fingers down your throat definitely isn't my idea of fun. I've tried chewing them but they are kind of powdery to me and that's not very pleasant.
I've just added 5 to a little water and they dissolve real fast with a little stirring. Swirl it around and drink fast!!
Job done.I am not knocking them, just saying this is the easiest way I found to take them, after all choking on pills is no fun.
Too early to say what else I think of them but hopefully it all helps.

Happy with this product. Speeds up my recovery and helps my mood. I see a lot of reviews criticising the tablets size and difficulty to swallow... I just chew mine and wash each one down some water... It's really not that hard considering there are no nasty taste surprises when I bite into them considering they are tasteless. As many reviewers have said before, the tablets are massive and are easily choked on! I break mine in half to make it easier to swallow, but they are so chalky and prone to sticking to your throat.
Generally, L Glutamine seems to reduce soreness the next day and promotes a better long term weight training programme. Not too sure on the benefits of adding muscle tissue, but it does reduce muscle soreness.

L Glutamine is a very good quality/price ratio.
The effectiveness of L-glutamine is proven. It's very effective in stopping muscle catabolism after training and to boost anabolism. The only downside is that it's sometimes difficult to swallow. The tablets tend to rapidly dissolve in the mouth.
Too large and too frequent

L Glutamine are 1000mg and are a lot larger than other 1000mg tablets I have used before. They are incredibly difficult to swallow and when trying to dissolve them into a liquid they just sit at the bottom on the flask.
I have given the taste 3 stars as they can crumble in your mouth leaving an unwanted texture of powder in your gums. Mixability has been given 2 stars due to them not being able to dissolve fully and leaving the powder sitting at the bottom of your container. I have the effectiveness 2 stars because I had to stop taking these before i noticed any difference.
15 of these tablets a day is a struggle especially as they are so large.
I would recommend sticking to the BCAA tablets or powder instead of this.

L Glutamine is a good product and is pretty cheap for what it is! Taking 5 tabs twice a day works very well for me, 5 when I wake up and 5 before I go to bed! It takes 2-3 days to kick in and become effective but is extremely effective when it kicks in and you can easily swallow it with a good gulp of water! Good pills but very big

These pills are pretty big so if you're not good at swallowing pills then buy the powder.
First I tried to take them with water and gagged on two separate occasions so what I do is put them in with a fruit juice in the morning and my casien shake at night. I just put them in the shaker and shake it all up and neck it, they mix well when done like this. But next time I think I will get the powder.
I take 5 in the morning and 5 in the evening, and so far (after taking for 1 week) I have noticed a few gains.Goes Well With:creatine monohydrate

I have recently starting adding these tablets (4 weeks) to my supplement routine. I have a problem with the dryness of the tablets and them getting stuck in my throat. I am normally fine with anything tablet form, but find these really chokers. I take 15 tabs per day, 3 servings of 5 tabs. One serving first thing, one serving around 2pm and one serving an hour before bed. I get around the choking issue simply by disolving the tablets in water first. The dossage and the effect is no different.
I combine this product, with Total Protein, Bedtime Extreme, BCAA plus, CLA, Thermopure, Alpha Men & Omega. I am unable to give a definitive answer to whether this product as a stand alone item is serving added purpose, but compined with my other supps, it's getting me near to my end goal to be competition ready in May.

I usually have no problems with tablets but with L Glutamine I cant swallow they stick to the first thing they touch that is wet. Chokers

I originally ordered Glutamine tablets, however MyProtein sent me the powdered version. Ever the professionals, upon realising the mistake they swiftly forwarded the right order - and allowed me to keep the already received powder. Result!!
In anycase, back to the product - I have found the tablets to be superb. Great in size, in content and effectiveness of use. You get a fair amount of the goods and at a very competitive price.
Since using these I do find that the everyday aches and pains of working out have subsided somewhat, and I genuinely believe it was due to these tablets.
People have reviewed that the tabs are too big. I found that to be the case at first, so was halving the tabs - but since this, I just have them whole. They're not THAT big.

"Just received these in the post and the size of tablets is crazy, they are HUGE! be wary as if you dont like swallowing big pills then these arnt for you, also along with all the other pills i have to take I got slightly queasy after swallowing the lot, will definitely only be taking 5 a day at most!!
