I was surprised at the guy who reckons that he found this stuff acidic on his stomach. Chlorella is an alkaline compound. Personally, I find it as gentle as water. I can't comment on any health benefits because I've only been taking it for a fortnight. Not a lot I can add, then. Except that it makes your poos dark. Oh, don't look at me like that, you were going to find out sooner or later. And it's not as if that's a problem, is it? I mean, it's not like you were going to show them to your friends, or give them away as Christmas presents.
First off, chlorella powder doesn't exactly taste very good by itself. Far from it actually, so you'll need something to 'hide' the taste e.g. a zero-calorie liquid beverage mix like MiO or diet soda. But the benefits of chlorella by far outweighs the bad taste! After 7-10 days my energy and overall mood was up, felt less constipated, began to sleep deeper and better... I recommed this stuff to everyone wanting to improve their health. Goes Well With:Alfalfa powder and spirulina powder
Good product. Although expensive to buy it is well worth it compaired to anything else offered in todays market in tablet or pill form. Like other products from my protein value for money is excellent. Sharp delivery time and packed properly. With competitive prices it makes it very difficult to shop any where else. We would be happy to pay a little more if my protein started offering an organic range .
I usually have a strong stomach, but I cannot hold this Chlorella Powder down, and it leaves me nauseous for a good 8 hours. I've read it's pretty common with this. This supplement is potentially very gastro-harsh.
"Energy should be about 16 kcal for 4 g, not 70 as stated. Chlorella is an excellent source of protein (especially sulfuric amino-acids). It has a pile of positive health effects from detoxifying heavy metals to DNA repair effects (proven, for example, on radiation victims). It also has a wide variety of highly bioavailable B-vitamins, minerals and trace minerals. Dunno if bodybuilders will profit a lot, but it is a hell of a health source for a good MP-price!"
Since taking this Chlorella Powder I've felt much more fresh and energised. It's not the best tasting.
its mostly as it should be. its not top but the price is right as well
"Doesn't taste very nice. Mixes well though, and you can't taste it at all when mixed with a strong cordial. "
"This mixes very well, its so fine it looks like photocopier toner. It does not taste good at all. I drink it in cordial and hold my nose while downing it but it seems worth it due to the documented health benefits."
