I was a bit sceptical about these fat gripz but the second I used them I realised how effective they are. I snapped a tendon in one of my fingers and have struggled for grip strength since, these work. My grip strength has tripled and my forearms are finally popping out! They make basic exercises eg hammer curls 3x harder than normal so you have to train even harder. Also as I have big hands on movements like skull crushers and bench press it's more comfortable to hold than a normal bar. The only thing that's bad is when they get wet they become slippy, you just need to dry them and your back up and running. For anyone looking to change up their routine or wants to improve their forearms and grip strength this is a must have.Goes Well With:Fat gripz extreme
Absolutely amazing gym accessory, particularly suitable for anybody looking to build bigger forearms / biceps. At first you'll notice you will have to decrease the weight of certain movements but the burn you feel in comparison to before you ever tried these FatGripz is incredible. 5* would recommend to everyone!Goes Well With:Barbell / Dumb bell / Cable handles.
I saw these advertised and read previous reviews which were all good. I ordered from myprotien as they were the cheapest for genuine Fatgripz. ordered on Sunday arrived on Monday. used for the first time Tuesday and what a difference they made. They are probably the best training aid I have ever bought. they do exactly as promised. I dropped my weight considerably and what a pump, I would highly recommend these.
Used the extreme fat gripz at a gym i use, was wondering what they were for, read up on them and though the extreme gripz didn't suit my grip, the normal fat gripz were great, looked around for a pair and my protein was by far the cheapest. Really fast delivery, thanks!!! Started using them a couple of weeks ago, kills your forearms but doesn't half pump your arms and leaves your arms shaking, i reckon a couple of months using these and you'll look like popeye, hopefully on the arms only though!!! One down side for me was that i couldn't lift the same weight i was lifting without them due to you hand being over extended, but when you try a weight without them you can lift more so that must mean they are working. To be honest the way your arms feel say using 15kg dumbells with the gripz you are just happy to get five sets out without somebody peeling your fingers from around the gripz. Great product, so simple to use, wish id thought of it!!!! Regards

I can't beleive the differance in my forearms and grip in two weeks, great product.
PROS: - You will definitely feel and see the benefits of using them if they are usable for the exercise - Easy to add/remove from weights/bars - Reach a pump quicker - Excellent for low weight/high rep strength training CONS: - Not usable for a lot of workouts - grip not as secure as you'd hope - doesn't fit on EZ bars - doesn't fit properly on Dumbbells from 18kg & higher Overall: These grips definitely make lifting more challenging and can be a very effective enhancement on your workouts if your goal is strength & they fit your equipment. Guys who are going low reps/heavy weight will have difficulty finding use. Can be potentially dangerous if you don't have sizeable hands & a death grip if you try to go heavy. I curl 24kg comfortably and was struggling with 18kg because the grips didn't fit properly & nearly slid off mid-rep. All that considered I do notice a positive difference & gains are gains so get lifting boys & girls. 8/10Goes Well With:Most arm, chest & shoulder workouts. Beneficially for some back exercises like rows.
These could be one of the best training purchases I have made. Incorporates into most excercices making them instantly more difficult and can really feel the burn on the forearms especially when training upper back and lats.
After doing some research into their purported effectiveness I bought these to add some variety to my workout. If you can deadlift 150kg but your grip fails at 100kg then you have two options; straps to overcome the grip issues, or improve your grip strength. The fat gripz add the ability to improve your grip, without adding specific forearm or grip exercise to your regime. Whilst they add difficulty to "pushing" exercises, their real benefit comes when used in conjunction with "pulling" exercises and I found them to be highly effective in recruiting the rest of my arms during the reps (be prepared to shed some weight off your kid when trained by with them). In summary they are well made, easily usable and highly effective when alternated into your regular routine
Unlike most people I hate training arms. I don't know why but I've always hated it. Through ignorance and injuries my arms are noticeably lagging behind the rest of my body. As such I decided to make it my new years resolution this year to bring them up to speed and these were going to be a big part of that resolution. After just two months of using them my grip has improved massively and my arms and forearms are noticeably bigger. As most reviewers have said, you'll have to leave your ego at the door as you'll be able to move less weight than you normally would. Seen these about and was told they make a real difference. They work on the basis of strength training of old when guys lifted fatter bars meaning more focus on grip and concentration on the muscles being used. I have used them a bit for various muscle groups and the first thing you notice is that you can't lift as much weight, not even close if I'm honest. Then you realise the pump you are getting in the arms, particularly forearms and you can feel the difference. If you can get over your ego and drop your weights (a lot!) then these are a really good addition to your gym bag. Goes Well With:My suggestion would be to build these into a workout rather than using them for every exercise. For instance for a bicep workout I might do hammer curls and sgl arm dumbell curls with a normal dumbell and the n follow it up by using fat grips on an ez bar to do some curls.
Such a simple but effective product used on arms day never had my arms hurting like this before I use them One session and not the next and when I go back to normal grip my grip lasts longer and I feel stronger in lifting the weight

the subject line of this review is exactly what I kept exclaiming when training with fatgripz. It's amazing how they made such a difference...my forearms were instantly more involved, my grip more challenged and my lifts/pulls/pushes completely different. I'll definitely continue training with these and recommending them...I'm excited to see how grip improves with time using these! Just watch out for the burn...

I purchased the fat gripz in order to strengthen my grip, these work fantastically I would recommend them to anyone who is serious about building their grip strength. I purchased the original blue ones to start off with and after using them for a few weeks I am looking at purchasing a set of the orange ones which are bigger again. Goes Well With:It can be fitted on to most barbells, dumbells and most of the machines that you find in your local gym
Ouch......... these hurt, in a good way. Have recently changed my training to focus on strength eventing/ strongman style stuff and these are a must have if thats what you want to do. These make everything so much harder. Deadlift today and my forearms felt as bad as my back at the end. Even if you dont want to do strongman, you need these in your gym bag as the benifits for grip strenght are amazing. I will use these every session. I would even use them on leg day if I could. I cant wait to get to the stage where i am be able to use the fat gripz extreme. Goes Well With:Barbells, Dumbbells
I now use fat gripz in almost every session and have seen significant gains in strength and size whilst using them. They fit on any dumbbell or bar and are extremely durable. A must for any regular gym goer or athlete.
I love Fat Gripz and now use them on every training day (except legs). They fit on to any bar and have led to a huge improvement in my strength and size especially in my arms and forearms. I would highly recommend for any gym goer or athlete.
