Myprotein Figure 8 Straps are a fantastic training accessory to help enhance lifting technique and reduce premature grip fatigue.
These heavy duty cotton straps are the ideal replacement for the traditional lifting straps which are known for their impractical and uncomfortable design.
The Myprotein Figure 8 Straps are designed to loop over the lifting bar whilst your wrist is secured through both hoops. This creates a grip which can be used for both over hand and under hand lifting techniques to provide a secure grip on any size bar.
Unlike traditional lifting straps, figure 8 straps can be adjusted at any stage during your lift without having to unwind straps. For added comfort and support, each strap is constructed with padded foam sections to protect your wrists.
Please note that the labelling on this product is provided in English as a minimum. French, Italian, German, Spanish, Danish, Swedish and Finnish may also be present on a product by product basis.
Place wrist through one of the loops and pass the second loop underneath the bar. Feed your wrist through the second loop, securing the bar in place. Grip the bar and the strap securely before performing your lift.

Disappointed hugely with these, the loops are FAR too big, and unadjustable, therefore making them almost useless, the loops are that big it almost makes your hand slide right out of them, I tried them whilst doing deads and shrugs and still find that the normal wrist wraps (the ones you have to keep twisting to make tighter) FAR better, wouldn't advise these at all. Goes Well With:The bin
I had big expectations, however figure 8 links are too wide, and cannot get enough grip. Will stick with usual straps
Worked much better than the lifting hooks I was using previously, easy to use even with my small wristsGoes Well With:deadlifts
Bought these as an experiment when my old conventional style straps were starting to wear. I was very sceptical how these could work effectively but I was pleasantly surprised. They are quicker to use than the old style wraparounds (more reason to hit those heavy drop sets) and offer as much grip and support during the lift as well. Easy to use, just slam them round a bar, and 'wind them up' (you'll know what I mean if you use them) and fire away. Plus, Eddie Hall broke a dead lift world record with them, so all the cool kids are using 'em now. Good value, would recommend for powerful back sessions.Goes Well With:An obscenely large weight and a lot of masculine grunting
Don't be deterred by its bad taste and poor mixability. The figure of 8 straps do exactly want there Ment too. If your grip gives up at the start of a back exercise whilst your doing some shrugs, how can you do bent over rows or deadlift without them? Thats rhetorical... The figure of 8 design makes them quick and easy to use, also it would take a lot to snap them.Goes Well With:Lifting
Awesome for deads and shrugs when you want to get in an extra setGoes Well With:Good diet and perfect form
Total game changer I would recommend to everyone that dead lifts too buy a set
Took a wee bit to get used to the straps but definitely help go heavier when grips at its limitGoes Well With:Lifting belt
These do the job, they are easier to use than traditional straps and get on and off etc. However, you can't really get them as tight or as firmer grip. Still, you can keep hold of the bar and train the parts you're trying to when you are tired without worrying about grip. Goes Well With:Training hard.
A better the normal lifting straps. Smash a new PB shrubs with dumbbells with them
I wanted to try some straps after my grip started slipping with heavier deadlifts. This was especially important after moving house and having to workout on tiled floors. Dropping 90kg on the floor might have lead to divorce! I was amazed how much difference the straps made, I feel like I can go heavier and no fear of dropping damage. Highly recommended. Goes Well With:wrists and deadlifts
A must have for doing heavy deadlifts and shrugs. Makes lifting the bar possible even after your grip fails completley :D Can also be used on dumbbells or for doing pullups.Goes Well With:Barbell
These are great for deadlifts and such, though for me I wear wrist sweat bands so they fit correctly. Just to let you guys know they are great for doing rope type chin ups. Just drape them over a pull up bar. The middle, stitched together part sits on top of the bar. You grab the 2 looped bits together. It's a bit difficult to explain, but when you try it you should find the padding portion of the straps sits directly below your hands so you won't slip of the bottom too easily, yet they still give you some grip work. You can also stick your hands/wrists through the loops if you want to. Allows much better shoulder rotation on chinups and better range of motion. I never do normal chin ups now.
These straps are fantastic, unlike normal straps which you normally still have to grip these allow you to take a loose grip so you can use your energy for lifting rather than gripping. There is soft padding around the wrists so the straps are really comfortable as well.
I've found these to be a lot quicker to place and adjust than standard straps, so reduces time between drop sets / super sets, and the ability to slide them on and off pull down bars is very useful rather than having to reset them constantly. Would recommend over standard straps unless training back with another body part, as these straps are not as easy to train other areas e.g. training back & chest.Goes Well With:Deads, shrugs and rows
I tried the wrist straps but never have tried any equipment like this before but they as so effective! Took two or three sessions to get used to them but they helped me dead lift at least 20kg just by wearing the straps. I'd recommend these to anyone looking to lifting a little bit extra weight with easy.
They are what they are, sturdy and they certainly help relive stress on your wrists and hands - great for working out your back.Goes Well With:heavy lifting
Seems soft and durable, hoops are little bit too loose for my wrists, works well while using gloves or wrist wraps
The Myprotein Figure 8 Straps are a good, high quality strap with comfortable padding and thick materials. I initially purchased these for dumbbell shrugs and deadlifts. It is however extremely hard to use with dumbbells as the length and thickness of them make it very tight to secure and then grip, although it can be done. I also however now use them for my heaviest sets of upright rows as I feel my forearms give out a lot quicker than the primary working muscles do. Overall these are a great product and I would recommend them to anyone who struggles with their forearm strength in the aforementioned exercises.Goes Well With:A decent pair of gloves
I got these Myprotein Figure 8 Straps because I have a very bad wrist injury and cannot grip anything. I can use them for barbell rows but when it comes to heavy stuff like dead lifts they do not wrap around the hand tight enough to take everything away from the hands and for the grip, the holes in the figure 8 straps are way too big.
