MP MAX® Recovery Evo is a revolutionary recovery supplement which employs the latest research to provide your body with the essential nutrients necessary for effective recovery. After a workout, your body tends to be in a catabolic state - glycogen is depleted whilst increased cortisol levels begin to break down tissue. To reverse this state and to improve the recovery process, glycogen stores must be replenished as quickly as possible.

The combination of protein and carbohydrates has been shown to stimulate increased uptake of glucose by the cells, resulting in faster glycogen storage compared to carbohydrates or proteins alone. Research also shows a ratio of 2:1 (carbohydrates:protein) can help improve recovery over any other ingredient combination. MP MAX® Recovery Evo is packed with rapidly assimilated ingredients, including Hydrolysed Whey Protein Isolate and Maltodextrin, ensuring the vital nutrients enter your muscle as quickly as possible. Suggested Use

Add 2 scoops (approximately 80g) and mix with approximately 400ml of water or skimmed Milk (for a thicker shake use less liquid, for a thinner shake add more). For the best results add liquid first, then powder into one of our shakers or a blender. Once mixed consume immediately. We recommend consuming immediately after exercise for best results.

    As quite a few other users have stated; Recovery Evo's biggest downfall is it's price in comparison to Recovery XS. The results are noticeable and this shake per serving delivers everything the body needs after a heavy workout but it's weight and price mean that most people will probably refer back to Recovery XS. Taste is great however I can see how it's not to everyone's liking. Great product, great service.

    I'm a fan of many of the My Protein product but I didnt get on well with this one. The protein didnt mix very well and even when I had shaken it correctly I found the strawberry and apple taste not to my liking. I've had other recovery drinks before which I have found to be much more effective and even though this is a nice cheap product I would much rather spend my money on a shake that is actually going to do what it says on the tin.

    Great product, first time I tried the Strawberry & Apple the taste was a bit off putting, I thought my milk had gone off but then it became more palatable the more I used it. Great recovery from it, train 5 times a week and it certainly helps, mixed with a tablespoon of personalised protein powder for even quicker recovery.

    Taste good (Apple and strawberry) and def helps recovery,aches and pains. ALEX NOCK- I would love to see the evidence you have to back up the "spots due to sugar content"....Not sure your GP would confer with such a statement.....

    Have got the strawberry and apple flavour as part of a bundle and believe that it is a good product, but as with most things it does has its setbacks. I will admit the flavour isn't amazing and get a few powder lumps in the mix, but this goes for most shakes. Just grin and bare it. In all I feel the benefits outweight the cons.

    If you do your research, this product is very good indeed. Hydrolysed whey is far superior and the benefits of BCAAs alone is impressive. For me though, a dextrose monohydrate and maltodextrin blend far outweighs waxy maize starch (in Recovery XS). The research on WMS is sometimes ambiguous to say the least. You get what you pay for (most of the time). As for taste and mixability, this isn't an issue AT ALL and quite honestly shouldn't be for anyone.

    I bought this product to replace my recovery xs and its major issue is for me and 2 others i let try it; it causes spots, due to the sugar content. This product was attractive to me for the hydrolysed whey electrolytes and BCAAs so i now do my own blend of basically recovery evo but -sugar +wazxy maize starch. if myprotien did this i would defo buy it every time!! replace recovery evo with that MP!!!

    Probably the worst tasting product ever! Got it with one of the bundle's and found it totally vile. Think myprotein should add the recovery xs to the bundle instead & more people will get that bundle as it is great value for money, but this product makes you think twice. Recovery xs if your looking for a great all in one that goes down well!

    Really don’t like the blackcurrant option it tastes like blackcurrant but has a really nasty chemical aftertaste. I’ll be sticking with the strawberry and apple option from now on which goes well with milk or water and tastes like nesquick.

    Having Used Recovey XS for quite a while, and given this a try (halfway through the tub) i'll be going back to the XS on my next order. The Evo still improved my recovery, but for me when 2 products have similar effectiveness i'd rather go for the supp which a) is cheaper per serving and b) has better quality carbs (WMS in XS vs maltodextrin/dextrose in Evo). Evo mixes better than XS, probably due to the different carbs, but wasn't a big fan of the Strawberry/apple flavour. Not usually fussy on flavour but this was very sweet and made me queasy on a couple of occasions. Back to Choc XS for me.

    Have tried this instead of the usual True Whey as it should be better for recovery. I got blackcurrent, and I really don't like the taste. Mixes well as long as you shake hard. Great formula, and thumbs up for the shake in terms of quality. I do feel however it is a bit expensive. I also think that you should offer bulk discount, or the oppertunity to buy bigger tubs. 1.28 kg doesn't last long and at the price and the 'not to my liking' taste I may continue with true whey and a bananna post workout.

    I usually use recovery XS and thought I’d give this a go. It smells of strawberries and taste of apples mixes well in the Max Blender Bottle. Recovery times seem to be good and I would say I prefer it over the chocolate recovery XS, but would say you will ether like the taste or hate it.
