I bought the real raspberry flavour bars and to my delight they were delicious. They help as a snack with nutritional value before gym sessions and stop you getting hungry and binging. I recently had to order chocolate chip as the real raspberry have been out of stock for some time which is frustrating as the chocolate chip is no where near as tasty.

Ordered the choc chip two days ago arrived yesterday and tried one today and the taste isn't that bad. Very chewy, soft and filling. What surprised me is the size of the box the bars came in because it was very small. I am disappointed that the 'Real Raspberry' flavour has been out of stock for quite a while as I would of liked it more but nevertheless there is always a sample of it so ill be sampling it on my next order very soon. I also recommend that you drink it down with a glass of water as the bar is very dry.

I have tried numerous different bars on multiple sites over the last couple of years and often find few that get the taste/texture right - Usually they are like a solid block of protein powder, coated in a thin film of chocolate and not much fun to eat. However, the Oats & Whey is definitely among my top 3 favourites. The texture/taste is even better than most regular chocolate bars in my opinion - Definitely worth a try, you won't regret! Also checkout the MyBar Cookies - A very good product.

Chocolate peanut tasted great. Tasted more like chocolate oats to be honest but so much nicer than any other brands ive tried. Easily the best without a shadow of doubt. If you're on the road a lot with work finding a high protein snack is nigh on impossible. These are well worth the expense just to have one in your car everyday. Yeah they are a little dry and defo need a drink after but im splitting hairs there. awesome product again from myprotein.

I bought these a while back and I still have a bar or two lurking around the kitchen. They are not the best in terms of texture. They are very dense, dry and stodgy. I didn't really enjoy them compared to other protein/MRP bars. It would take me quite a while to finish a bar! They have a good nutritional breakdown though and are perfect for filling those gaps between meals! Just dont expect a nice sweet treat.

I tried a sample of the raspberry Oats and Whey bar as I didn't fancy the other flavours (being a bit fussy about chocolate and nuts). Let's just say that although it's not as offensive as some of the reviews on this site suggest, I'm afraid it's going to have to taste a bit more of raspberry and less powdery before it makes it to the top of my list of preferred protein flapjacks.

I bought MyBar Oats and Whey, Meal Replacement Bars, Chocolate Chip Flavour. These bars have a fairly dry texture to them due to the oats and they may need a required taste to eat them. However these bars are a good healthy option if you needed something to eat on the go or was going to miss a meal or wanted it as a snack after a session at the gym. These bars can be eaten with whatever type of lifestyle you have, you don't need to be a gym or fitness fanatic. I have a very restricted lifestyle due to a disabling injury, I eat these bars as a replacement meal once a day as part of a healthy eating plan. The bars help suppress my appetite, therefore reducing my desire for eating unhealthy food, which has been effective. I've given mixability a 3/5 because I don't know how well it goes with other MP products and I've given taste a 4/5 because I think it can be improved. Effectiveness and Overall I gave 5/5.

Fantastic product! One of the best tasting bars on the market, its great as a meal replacement when you're on the go or just as a snack in between meals. It can help with weight gain/muscle size or weight loss depending on your diet and how you use the product. I've only tried choc chip so far, but looking to try the other flavours at some point too. I always recommend myprotein products to my Personal Training clients, keep up the good work!

I like these because, unlike certain other protein bars available in shops, they are not sweetened with manitol. Manitol is an undigestible fat used in chewing gum and mints, and is highly likely to give you the runs. I have an MP bar every day and have not experienced any unpleasant side-effects!

Great product, perfect macro balance. Bars are a good size and the chocolate peanut flavour is really very nice. I can only conclude that the people who don't like them have rather silly expectations and/or have never tried any other protein bars before. I'm actually a big fan of the 'heaviness' of a protein bar and flavour-wise I'd take one of these over a Mars any day! Main criticism: could be cheaper, but not bad value.

I love these bars. They taste great and give a really easy protein boost on-the-go. They always fill me up and were a key part of my initial bulking. However, going through my late teens I've become lactose intolerant, and nothing gives me stomach cramps (and worse) like these do now! Unfortunately I'm completely unable to eat them now without copious amounts of lactase supplements, which makes the whole process very expensive. So long MyBar. We had a good time together.

Aye carumba these things are foul, even my dog turned her nose up. This is the first and hopefully last disappointing product i'll experience with MP. I truly hope they don't just sit back and think that their job is done with these turds. It leaves me wondering whether those that "love" the taste aren't on kickbacks. MP produce the best mixing and tasting powders of any company i've used over the past 20 years, but they simply haven't got this right. A rival company HAS got it right, i've tried ALL the flavours they offer and ALL are better than MP's tastes for 95% of the same nutritional profile, and less money. Please MP, i'm not a habitual complainer, please go back to scratch with these, we know you can do it. :)

Ok, so as a driver, I like to take along a selection of things to snack on during the day (mostly fruit, carrot sticks that sort of thing). Getting anything on the road that high in protein, lowish in fat appetizing is difficult, so I've gotten into the habbit of taking a protein flapjack as part of my snack box.\n\nI've no problem with any of the flavours I've tried (I miss the blackcurrant ones), the choc chip was fantastic - a real treat - but the Chocolate Peanut is even better. So if you thought that protein snack had to be disgusting, think again...

Thank god for MP removing blackcurrant as a flavour for these tasty flapjacks. Now there are 2 new flavours so I have bought a box of fruit and nut. Just finished my first bar......\n\nFirstly these are sweet....very sweet and also moister than usual. The taste is a cross between cadbury fruit and nut and golden syrup. I'm also glad they have dumped the old box design for a more compact version. \n\nThumbs up again.

Having tried the chocolate orange high protein bars and finding them a bit too much like hard work to eat, i decided to give the real raspberry flapjacks a go. Whilst they're nothing like what most people would recognise as flapjacks, they are very good. The taste is very good, the texture is still a little bit chewy (if you want to be fussy), but not as bad as the other bars, the oats help with the chewing and the yoghurt base is a nice touch too. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who needs protein on the go, I work in an office and it's a ballache to keep washing out a shaker so these are really handy. Best bar i've had. 9/10 in my opinion, if myprotein could make a snickers with the same nutritional properties as these then i'd give a 10, but this is the next best thing.

These bars aren’t on a par with the majority of myprotein products. They are very hard to chew and they don’t taste good at all. There were a lot more reviews for this product that corroborated this but since they have changed the name to mybar oats and whey they seem to have been removed. Anyway if you want protein on the go and don’t mind eating stodge then buy away, if you want something that taste nice as well then maybe try something else. Not impressed.

Ok, as far as protein bars go i have really enjoyed these ones. The chocolate chip flavour is very tasty, and filling for a quick snack. I grab one or two every morning from the box on the way to school and it keeps the hunger away untill lunchtime. My friend saw me eating it at break, didnt realise it was a protein bar, and asked for some. Gave him a small chunk and he said it was really nice! Top noch flavour here, and i'm fairly fussy when it comes down to flavour!!

These "flapjacks" are solid as a rock and taste foul. There is nothing light, sticky and tasty about them, as I expected. There is a horrid aftertaste, and I almost broke my teeth eating them. I recently ordered the choc chip flapjacks and i was pleasantly surprised at the taste. They dont taste like Mcdonalds flapjacks like what other people have said but for a protien snack they taste nice. If there is one thing I like from myprotine and that is the Mybar range. I do a lot of cycling and hiking and use them both for on the go nutrition. After reading the feedback on these I decided to buy a box to see what all the fuss is about.\n\nThe first thing that struck me was that they didn't look like a flapjack. They are more like a mybar shape. \n\nThe consitancy is similar to a normal flapjack, but is more compacted and has a processed look. Each flapjack has a sweet icing on them which gives the bar its sweetness. I found that eating one totally eliminated any sugar cravings I was having and set me up for the afternoon in work. \n\nThe taste however is just like you would expect from a flapjack. Fruity, sweet and oaty. Very satisfying. \n\nThe cost is really not that bad. Considering that a normal unhealthy flapjack in the shops can cost £1-£2. These only cost about £1.30 each and am a damn sight better for you.\n\nI will definiately be trying the other flavours.\n\nThumbs up\n\n\n\nI would have given 5 star if it wasn't for the cost but still a winnner. Thumbs up.

I'm eating a bar as I type this. Yes, the texture is a little tough and there's plenty of chewing involved, but exercising your jowls is no bad thing! There's plenty of taste hidden in this 'brownie' (chocolate chip is just right). Each bar is individually wrapped in a silver wrapper and makes a great snack. A 4.5/5 from me, as I'd have prefered a peanut butter flavour and something slightly softer. Regardless, job well done, MP!

These are fantastic. I need to eat a lot on the move and getting quality protein and carbs can be tricky.\nUnlike some people, I love the dense texture of these flapjacks and the raspberry flavour is superb. As a meal replacement the are perfect. If I have one of these mid-morning I don't feel like eating again until late afternoon. Have never tried protein bars before so thought Id give these flapjacks a go as on offer.\n\nDeffo not what I was expecting as they have no resemblance to a flapjack that I've ever encountered! More like a chocolate brownie bar, a little hard and not the best tasting - quite bitter like dark chocolate. I would never eat again if it wasnt for the protein content, but will finish the box and probably go back to shakes after I've finished them as cant really see myself stomaching one of these every pre-workout!\n\nFair enough protein bars arent designed around great taste, but I think MP could do better with this one in the actual product and the description!

I've only tried a few protein bars and flapjacks before, and every single one was rank, couldn't finish them. So it was with some trepidation that I ordered a box of these in Choc Chip and I've just had my first one. I was very pleasantly surprised! I wouldn't call it a flapjack either, just as some of the previous respondents have said, nor does it have choc chips in it! MP should call it chocolate fudge brownie, which is the closest thing I can describe it as - a pretty dense (but not jawbreaking) chocolate brownie with a pretty good, dark-chocolate kind of taste. Obviously it's a bit bland because it's a protein bar, not a Mars Bar, but considering it's actually good for you it'll do me fine!\n\nSits pretty heavy on the stomach and I can imagine would fill you up for quite a while, which is surely the point! If you like chocolate, get the choc chip flapjack, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Personaly, i find these flapjacks very good tasting (choc chip), especially considering their nutrional content. They do not look like a conventional flapjack, but they do have plently of high carb oats, and a high protein content. It may be fairer to compare them to protein bars, but i have never had a protein bar or flapjack with such an exceptional taste and nutrional content. They are very filling, and can bridge the gap perfectly between meals. They are heavy in texture, but i think that is a good thing. Highly recommended.

This is my first order from MP. I have ordered Protein bars, True Whey, and these so called "flapjacks".\n\nI havent sampled the other products I received yet, as I just picked up a flapjack as I left for work... but it is NOT a flapjack. It looks, and has the texture an consistency of a typical protein bar. Quite stodgy! The flavour is chocolate Chip, but I have seen no chips, but it does taste of chocolate. \nAs to oats, I have seen a few suspects in the stodge, but nothing more than a handfull. It is bascally a protein bar with a handful of oats hiding (literaly).\n\nIf you order these as a protein bar, then they are fine, but DO NOT expect a flapjack - it is NOT.\n\nWill not order the Flapjack again. Will try the choc orange protein bar later and probably stick with those.

This is one of the best tasting bars I have tasted. Its not quite as good as a typical candy bar but it has a very different nutritional profile!!! Its a great option when ur on the move as it replaces a meal conveniently and its small enough 2 stick in ur pocket, so it is practical. I also prefer this to most bars as it has a more suitable but lower protein content with adequate carbs.

Having seen the description 'Protein Flapjack' i thought i would also give them a go. How stupid of me....\n\nAfter opening one up, i saw what can only be described as a chocolate lump... and biting into it, well.... i felt sick, the taste was like eating chocolate old hard maltloaf. \n\nSo much for the 'scottish oats' and 'chocolate chips' that you hope to find. I wouldnt recommend this product to anyone so buy at your own disgression.\n\n

Having read all the reviews of these "flap jacks" I decided to give them a go. My only real complaint is the description. there is none of the sticky, oaty goodness you would expect, but they do taste good (chocolate chip) and are very filling. I keep them handy at work to avoid snacking on sugary crap between meals and increase my total protein intake.\n\nIt's a shame myprotein don't do an individual sample so people can make their own mind up about the texture.

"As with all traditional flapjacks we decided to keep the carbohydrates high, but don't worry, all the carbohydrates are sourced from the super low G.I. Scottish Oats so there are no worries about packing on fat!"\n\nNo, "all the carbohydrates" are NOT sourced from scottish oats. \n\nIsomalt is a sugar alcohol which is completely useless to someone wanting to gain mass or strength.\n\nIt can also cause GI upset for some people (including myself) which is why I am very upset by some of the misleading advertising on this site. \n\nMP - please do not hide behind your disclaimer that some nutritional values may be "slightly different". The addition of polyols is not a slight difference under any stretch of the imagination.\n\nI am generally pleased with the MP products and service, which is why I have been a customer for ~5 years. I am however very disappointed with these flapjacks.

Iv never had a protein flapjack so i was abit shocked when i opened one and it was basically a normal tasting protein choc bar,not a choc chip flapjack bar! One good thing with them is that you dont want to eat anything else for quite a while because they are filling and you feel abit sick. If your expecting flapjacks be prepared to be disappointed because well they just aint! For me the bar is vile in taste unless you have a glass of milk while eating them but then you will feel ill. I have gave bars out to gym mates and they also feel the same as me, but each to their own i guess.

These are extremely tasty, larger than I thought and id recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth. Personally I crave a daily intake of something sweet e.g. chocolate, biscuit etc and these are the perfect replacement. \n\nThe reason I have not given them 5 star is that they do begin to taste a little dry but there is plenty here to fill you up!!!

I've had better. You need to eat these bars with x2 pints of water - very heavy and dry (tried the choc-chip).\n\nAs for quality and price, no complaints really. I haven't found these useful for daily intake, just to heavy, but great for those days where your all over the place and need a power snack.

The choc chip flavour is absolutely delicious and it is a really addictive flavour. Ordered these on saturday and just recieved them this afternoon, very good delivery service as usual.\nI ordered the raspberry ones and i do agree with them being a bit to sweet and dry, but they are edible. They dont half fill me up after eating one i felt like i had just eaten a meal, and the bars themself weigh a ton :). Good pre workout snack seemed to get a good burst of energy after eating one. Ideal for people on the move and well worth the money. Think ill order the chocolate ones next time. 4.5 only thing that stops me giving these 5 star is the fact they are a bit to sweet.\n\n

I was wary of getting the raspberry because most reviewers found them too sweet, but unfortunately I was sent a box of them instead of the chocolate I ordered. I found the reviews right they were over-sweet and bad-tasting to the extent that I had to throw out the box after eating less than half. They have a great nutritional ratio though, so I risked ordering chocolate again and luckily received them this time! The chocolate bars taste great, and I would thoroughly recommend them. Just right for a pre-workout snack or to make up for a missed meal.

I would probably consider this product a protein bar rather than a flapjack, but as i dont know the definition of a flapjack I probably shouldn't comment!!! Will be adding this product to my diet once a week to break up the monotony of eating the same foods each day. Also satisfies the sweet tooth.

    1. Taste/Texture\nExcellent! Tastes chocolatey and is satisfying to eat. Not dry like other bars I have had.\n\n2. Nutritional\nQuite healthy. Good amount of carbs and protein, mid amount of fibre. \n\nWhy not five stars?\nMy only qualm is the use of artificial sweetner. Granted, it makes it taste better, but as most individuals purchasing this are health-concious, would probably be willing to sacrifice some taste to lose the sweetner. \n\nOtherwise - a great way to get your carbs/protein in and relatively cheaper than a meal on the go!

I'm new to all this supplement business and have tried other brands, only to get jittery, headachey and queezy for a couple of hours after eating. I'm a busy mum and a vegetarian trying to fit in a regimented nutrition and training schedule. I have 1 in my handbag all the time so that if I am caught out at mealtimes its there.\nFirstly - the bar is BIG! And filling. If you chew properly it takes about 10 mins to eat. It's yummy too - doesn't taste at all chemically - and not too sweet. After training it satiated me perfectly without any need for anything else (except water of course). And it has the right nutritional balance. I am definitely going to try the other flavours.

It's hard not to eat too many of these things. They taste great (nb. only tried chocolate) and they have a substantial amount of protein per bar. Just bought a box of the blackcurrant bars and I am disappointed to see that they contain a massive 15g of polyols per bar! I stopped buying other big-name protein bars because they contained sugar alcohols (they upset my digestion) and having only purchased the raspberry bars from MP previously expected the blackcurrant bars to also be polyol-free. \n\nWould agree with other reviews that protein could be a little higher (say, 25g for a bar as part of a larger snack, or 40g for a bigger "meal replacement" type bar), and also that carbs could be a little lower, say 35-40g or so (more if the bars were proper "meal replacement" bars). Not impressed to see that the fat content appears to have increased from 6.5g per bar to 7.6g per bar: has the recipe changed recently, or was the previous nutrition information somewhat out-of-date?\n\nOther than the above criticisms, still a good product, but not as good as I previously thought.

The bar is very nice to taste, very nice texture and easy to eat. The reason it has 4 stars is that the protein could be higher and the carbs/fat lower. If it was the same but with 28-30 grams protein and 30 grams carbs , 5 grams fat it would be perfect and I would deffently buy them again and again

Very nice taste and texture. \n\nPersonally would prefer more protein and less carbs and less sweetness, (they are VERY rich) I would rather have bland good food than great tasting bad food, as they say if it's got taste it's bad for you : ) could also do with being a little cheaper.\n\nBut on the whole rather good.

I really appreciate what you are doing with these. I have compared a lot of protein flapjacks looking for good ingredients and taste. These have both - only one I found previously even came close.\nI have tried Raspberry. Will try the Chocolate next (even cleaner, according to the ingredients on your site).\nSuggestions: get the wheat flour out of the Raspberry (it's not in the Chocolate) so my wheat-intolerant partner can eat them! Also, what about a more naturally sweetened option - rice syrup, say, rather than sucralose?

Another winner. The flapjacks don't really taste like a \"flapjack\" as such, and they are very dense and solid, but they nevertheless taste very nice indeed, not too sweet, with a good raspberry flavour and chewy satisfying texture. A bit like some other well known \"sports bars\" out there. Despite not looking particularly large, they are in fact substantial and solid, and pretty filling, so the size is perfectly judged.\r\n \r\nNutritional profile is superb, and again the price beats nearly all the competition, although it is still a little on the high side, ideally. Still, difficult to fault, really. How about more flavours, MP?
