L Leucine is an essential amino acid that is broken down in to fat structures. As an essential amino acid it cannot be made by the human body and, therefore, must be consumed through food such as nuts, brown rice and whole wheat bread products or dietary supplements. In total, L Leucine is around eight percent of the total amino acid count in your body's protein structures. It is also the fourth most concentrated amino acid in your tissue.

As one of the three essential BCAAs, L Leucine is essential to your basic health. The primary athletic functions of L Leucine are:

Helps preserve lean tissue.
Supplies your body with energy when under stress (i.e. when performing athletic activity).
Preserves muscle glycogen (glucose which is stored in the muscle tissue used to power your movements).
Maintains nitrogen balance.
Enhances mental clarity when performing intense physical exercise.

In a nutshell the effects of L Leucine in the diet are profound. It is the strongest of the BCAAs and is also what is known as a "limiting nutrient". This means you must have enough L -Leucine in proportion to other amino acids in order for your body to make full use of what you eat!

If you don't have enough L Leucine in your diet your body will not be able to make use of the protein that you give it, regardless of how much protein you consume. More importantly unless you have enough L Leucine in your diet the money you spend on quality food and supplements could be wasted.

Suggested Use

As a dietary supplement we recommend consuming 2 - 3g twice daily. For optimal results take 45 minutes before your workout and also post workout. One serving should be sufficient on non-training days.

Add 1 heaped MP small scoop (2g) to your preferred amount of water or fruit juice and consume immediately. Best consumed on an empty stomach.

    Good on price but no scoop and bad taste, Mix this in with a tasty drink and neck it down ya. This stuff is so important so add it in and suck it up. no pain no gain..

    I use this product post-workout for recovery from intense full body workouts (Squats, deadlifts, kettlebells, NOT arms). Combined with 2 scoops of dextrose i use 4 small MP scoops imediatley after my workout then just another 2 scoops (no dextrose) 2 hours later. It has significantly shortened my recovery time. I do not use on non-training days as protein requirements arent as high.

    Be warned, this is unlike any other supplement I have tried before, first time I tried following the advice on the back of the bag, take with water.... ....its impossible to take with water, it floats on the top, and sticks to the side of the glass. Couple this with the fact it also catches at the back of your throat and makes you want to throw up from the taste... to put it lightly, it isnt for the faint hearted who struggle to swallow protein shakes. I'll follow the advice of putting it with a protein shake but I was hoping to be able to take it similar to the way I take another supplement by having it seperate from a shake. On the upside, there is a huge amount of evidence to support this supplement, especially if you are already increasing your protein intake.

    Just add one heaped small scoop to any of your protein shakes, best after a workout, put I just bang it them all. Does not effect the taste of the protein shake all. Seems to help me get more protein down my neck in a day, which is nice.

    Ive been on this for about a 10 days now, and I'm looking a lot fuller and solid. really happy. only slight neg is it doesnt seem to mix with my protein drinks, it sort of settles as a froth on the top, takes a lot of constant shaking to get it down n not leave half of it in the bottom of the shaker...

    Leucine is great for pwo, combined with eaa or bcaa in a 4:1 ratio is even better. Its also very good when on a keto diet , it will get you into ketosis quicker As a result, your blood sugar goes down and the body switches to a ketogenic state much faster. \n\n

    Ive been taking it for a couple of months now, pretty sure i can feel a difference as ive been doing more cardio too. Tastes vile and doesnt mix so i just spoon it into my mouth and use water to flush it down. But no pain no gain right?

    Before adding your protein powder, add the leucine to water and give it a good stir, leave for about 20 minutes, give it a stir again and then add your protein powder. Mixes fine this way.

    this stuff dizzolves totally in boiling water. not sure if the boiling water damages the powder tho. mixed it with aakg 3g of each pre workout (30min).

    What can i say about this lovely amino acid, well, it is the primary ingrediant of leukic. Leukic has had much achademic research into its function following exhaustive performance/training and from the peer reviewed material i have looked at the data is very convincing, stop reading, buy this nutrient, your body deserves it. \r\n\r\nI have recently combined it with gaaka, niacin, vanadyle sulphate and others, wow its cool. I would also say, use niacin (vit B3) pre training (100-500mg) and it alone will make you blow your mind!

    Remember being told that medicine had to taste bad to be good for you? Well substitute tricky to take and thats Leucine. Silvery and light its like fairy dust. Put in a small shaker with a little liquid, shake like mad, and down it. Repeat with any sticking to the sides. It helps to have your regular shake waiting as a chaser!

    I can not get this stuff to mix with any liquid in any quantity - it just floats on the surface and if your not careful when sliding it into your mouth comes back out as a a scattering of powder the next time you open again.\r\nThe taste is possibly the worst tasting supplement I have ever known and I can tolerate anything in a drink, I have to resort to taking this with mints in my mouth and 50ml of water, refill to catch all the powder thats stuck to the side of the glass when tilting to drink,and repeat this procedure 3-5x. \r\nIf I was'nt so tight that after buying something refusing not to use it then I would give up on it for the benefit of taking extra.\r\nIf you are going to buy this then buy a capping kit as it is the worst.
