Review:
I have been using Hurricane XS for a month now and I have noticed a difference in my size and also certain aspects of endurance whilst working out. As I am rather busy frequently, it is superb as a meal replacement. I got the toffee flavour which with milk tasted incredible, with water it isn't all bad just quite thin. As well as taking Creatine, when I withdraw from taking Creatine for 3 weeks on my cycle, the shakes have been absolutely fantastic in terms of size building and lean muscle and also recovery. A fantastic product!

Bought a 5kg pouch (strawberry flavour) about 4 weeks ago. Ticks all of the boxes for a no nonsense all in one formula. I have seen reasonable gains and appear more toned. The main benefit of this product is that I do not ache the next day! Despite what people say it mixes fine with a standard shaker, I dont have any problems. The taste is ok, a little sweet but its a protein shake and not a michelin star meal! Definitely another order in the pipeline for me.

Recieved my order 1 day after ordering, it is a very good product for its money as I paid £52 for 5kg where as I use to use maxi muscle cyclone which use to cost me £45 for a 1.2kg. My protein has near enought the same as cyclone has all the requirements needed to gain powers and size I got chocolate smooth which is nice but had bits in I think are some kinda oats but tastes nice apart from that I would defiantly give this product a 9/10. In all aspects it does what it is sapose to do give energy and build muscle.

Very pleased, tried this in the Banana flavour before and that was nice, just recently bought a Toffee and a, Strawberry cream. Flavour marks id give Toffee 10/10 love it, super nice , Strawberry 6/10 , Banana 7/10. Mix ability is an easy 10/10 i dont use a blender or anything just water in then add powder ,shake a few times and there barely dust, simple. as for results im really unsure if its helped me gain but il say i trust it will, good product

I recently purchased the raspberry flavour and have been using a hand blender to mix with water, the result is great - a smooth mix that tastes incredible. I look forward to every shake! As for performance, I've noticed a marked difference the morning following a workout - much less aching. Also I've experienced lean gains which I can thank, in part, to the Hurricane mix. All in all, it's champion. I can't comment on other flavours but the raspberry is awesome, I'll definitely be purchasing again. The service was, as ever, spot on. Recommended.

was sceptical before buying as i had never purchased an all in one before. Decided to go through with it and purchased Choc smooth and Strawberry cream. I must say, strawberry cream taste exactly like nesquick when mixed with milk. Tastes nice with water, but nothing special. Mixability is great, just make sure you add the liquid first!! Otherwise it won't work properly! No clumps or anything. Not tried choc smooth yet, but if you like strawberry flavoured milk you will love strawberry cream! Bit disappointed a scoop wasn't included but oh well.

I have been using the Hurricane XS for a couple of months now, and cannot fault it. I started with the Choc Mint and it mixed really easily and did not get "claggy" or lumpy at all, the flavour is great and it is very easy to drink. I am on Toffee flavour now and again it mixes really well and tastes really good, performance wise I have seen better gains using this product compared to the impact whey. I recover quicker and have less DOMS and aches after consuming this, I cannot fault the product at all and will continue to use it.

Don't know what all the fuss is about! I received it today, put 2 scoops in an MP small shaker, shook it for 30 seconds, opened it, drank it in 3 gulps, no problems! Got the Choc smooth flavour Hurricane XS and 5kg of the stuff, and on first impressions I won't have a problem finishing the whole bag! Yeah its a little bit sweet and a little bit chalky, and there was a little bit of foam on top but I really don't see what people are moaning about - its in your mouth for like 5 seconds then its gone! straight down into your stomach to do the job you buy it for!! The taste is fine and I'd class myself as fussy! I never write reviews either but after seeing all the negative ones on here about the taste I almost didn't buy the stuff but because its so cheap I thought Id give it a try - and I'm really glad I did. Its cheap, tastes fine, goes down easy enough, good protein/carb/creatine mix - DOES THE JOB. Buy it.

Doesn't mix brilliantly, and when you shake it enough to mix it properly, a large, horrible froth forms. Strawberry Cream is an absolutely DIABOLICAL flavour, disgusting, really is. I bought the Chocolate Smooth originally, and it was as nice as rival products in the top price bracket, but a friend of mine couldn't stomach the Strawberry that he bought, so I swapped mine for his to stop him wasting the 2.5 kilos he'd bought. Tastes worse with milk than water (Strawb) However, I've noticed recovery much superior to the expensive brands, I never have any pain after workouts now. Weights I can lift are going up big time too, and I'm noticing an increase in size, though this won't be solely down to this product, as I started on an expensive brand. Overall, yes, buy it, but DO NOT buy Strawberry Cream.

This is my attempt at a review that will help people who were in a similar situation to me a couple of weeks ago. As I have only have the product for a week, I clearly can't comment on the effectiveness of it, however I will come back in a month or so and give a secondary review concerning this. I have never done the 'gym thing' before, and never touched a protein shake in my life. After much deliberation, I decided to go with Hurricane XS as my daily protein/all in one intake. I have been taking the product morning and after workouts in the evening. I bought Chocolate Mint flavour, and it tastes absolutely fine - I can't complain about it at all. It also mixes very well, giving a shake that is easy to drink and actually enjoyable. No scoop included in the pouch which I didn't realise, but not to worry as my housemate has a 70cc one I have been using. I have perhaps noticed some improvement in recovery time (muscles aching less), but as I said, I will comment on the effectiveness at a later date when I have been taking for a longer period of time. Very impressed with MyProtein... I ordered on Saturday evening and the product was with me on Monday afternoon (standard delivery).

Personally, I have no issue with the Latte flavour or unflavoured, taste is personal and you just have to try the different flavours available to find your own favourite. I am from the day where there were no flavours and you just had to pinch your nose and drink a lumpy, disgusting mess - you guys don't know how lucky you are today. As for the mixability - I use a spring to mix my products and this ensures a smooth texture with no lumps at all - another great modern day invention.

almost at the end of my first ever product from MP after being recommened by a friend of mine. i ordered choco nut and i think that the taste is horrid! really sweet, makes you gag and the nut taste is a little overpowering for me, the only way i was able to drink it was to pinch my nose down it and have a sweet straight after to kill the after taste!! and i tried to dull the taste by having it with milk ( i normally have it with water) and adding some chocolate power/syrup but it only makes it sweeter!! HOWEVER!!!!!! the product is really good compared to the price. i was using PhD Pharma Whey before (which tasted 1000 times better!) but after taking a tub, i didnt notice any significant gains, only ones such as training on a regular basis would give. However Hurricane XS is really good, i normally take 1 shake around 2 hours before training so that its in my system for when i hit the gym, and i CAN say that i feel that i can push my self harded than normally (thanks to the creatine!) and ive slowly beening able to push heavier weights and the recovery is a little better. And as i find it hard to gain mass, i was previously (before taking Hurricane XS) hovering around 59-60kg and after a 2.5kg pouch of Hurricane XS i now weigh around 64-65kg gaining around 4kg, which being a student at uni is a pain trying to get all the vital intakes needed, which this covers all areas which is a bonus not to mention the price! i feel as if i gained not only in strength but also in size, now on to my 2nd order of choco smooth....hopefully ill be able to take the sweet taste...and continue my road to henchness!!!!! hope its helped!

Bought 2.5kg of this stuff to make my shakes a little easier to prepare. Turns out it takes 5 times as much shaking in the blender bottle and i had to litterally force the second half of the bag down. I choose Vanilla because all other vanilla falvoured MP products ive tried so far i liked. However this was a disappointment.

have been using this for a few weeks now and have to say that it seems to be helping my recovery after workouts and providing a pretty good meal substitute. having said that the mixability is pretty poor and the taste is just horrendous. Unlike all other myprotein products that ive tried this one genuinely makes me gag still after using it for 3 weeks; it is far too sweet and sickly (latte flavour) and from reading other reviews this seems to be the case across the flavours. if you are at all fussy about poor flavour or dont have a ridiculously sweet tooth (didnt think i fell into either of these categories!) then i would suggest avoiding this.

I've been using the toffee version of this for about a month now. I really dont like the taste much and i also dont think it mixes very well. That said it does do the job of keeping me full and replenishing protein after a workout. One massive bonus that I do like about the toffee flavoured version is if you add a scoop to oats it makes a fantastic flavoured poridge!

Just recieved my order yet again in good time, first time ive bought unflavoured, hopefully this protein sits better with my body hope to see good results after my first one i can tell you by doing the following this was the best protien shake ive ever tasted : mix 350ml of milk with 2 of the mp large scoops like instructed then add a little bit of caramel syrup (used to add to coffee and hot choclate) :)

I have recently just started using this 'all in one' and I am very happy with it so far. The delivery was excellent as usual!!! I opted for the Choc Nut Flavour. I find it a little sickly, I think'll probably just stick with Choc Smooth in future. Mixability is fine. I take it as stated on the listing and I have noticed that I dont ache half as much as I would normally. I train for an overall military fitness ( running, weighted marches, swim, gym) and his product seems to have it right for me.

i got unflavoured which at first i found unpleasent but when mixing with water add squash and that dilutes the taste a bit, ive noticed faster recover times not massive weight gain will give it more time.

I have been taking this for 6 weeks and it has been simply amazing. To stretch it out, I ONLY take 2 scoops a day instead of the recommended 4. I take 2 scoops one hour before workout and I feel like I can rip the gym apart. In 6 weeks I have added 20kgs to my bench press, 40kgs to my squat and deadlift. I have made unbelieveable progress and the only thing I can put it down to is this stuff. My diet and training have not changed. I bought the chocolate smooth flavour. At first the taste was rancid and gritty, not enjoyable at all, and I had to force it down. But I didnt care that much and now I barely even notice. I would give 10 stars for effectiveness if I could, but 1 star off for taste.

I was drinking Recovery XS upto a month ago, then i thought i would give Hurricane XS try and all i can say is...i wont be drinking anything else! Hurricane XS definitely does work interms effectiveness. Its helping me push myself that bit better and harder in the gym (Carbohydrate Blend), which in-turn is resulting in a slow improvement in my appearance (Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate & HMB), strength and power (Creapure). I am recovering alot better the following day/s after a workout. Your diet is a added factor, so if you can sort that part of your lifestyle out and with Hurricane XS added, you will see the results you want. Flavor wise, strawberry cream was a little too sweet and sickly, so my second pouch is chocolate smooth and i will be buying this flavor from now on, as its much more enjoyable to drink. Mixability is excellent, no lumps, a little froth at the top after mixing it but that's normal, a little gritty when drinking the last few ml's of the drink due to creapure most likely, other than that no complaints. Overall a brilliant supplement to drink pre+post workout, which i wish i had started drinking alot sooner, but its never too late! Try it asap, you wont regret it!

Latte flavour Hurricane XS: Mixabillity, for some reason, is better than smooth choc, and choc mint. A very welcome alternative to the normal choc, vanilla, strawberry etc flavouring's which i have been buying from myprotein.com for a couple of years now. I find all of the flavourings on offer to be far too sweet, as I personally dont have a sweet tooth. But I put up with it because the effectiveness of the product is great, and anything is better than unflavoured. I do love coffee, so was delighted to find a Latte flavour on offer. However, i'v been using it nearly a week now and it is also too sweet. Its more like a Latte flavoured ICE Cream sort of taste. I do find that if I mix a 70g serving, with 350-400ml milk / water (as suggested), and then add a tea spoon full of instant coffee, much better! Try it. Regards, James

I bought Chocolate and nuts flavour, amazing taste! However, I guess you may feel tired if you used every day. Taste like Kinder bueno or Kitkat. I mix it with creatine to improve recovery and boost my muscles. However the mix is a bit grummy and doesn't get compact with water. I haven't tried with milk

I am a regular user of Hurricaine XS and i have found it does help with Strength and in particular when i have a break for a holiday, xmas etc i do notice that it takes longer for my muscle to begin to breakdown, i think this must be in part to do with the HMB. Be careful with the flavours though, for example i tried toffee the other day and it is the most sickly tasting powder ever to the point where i am considering throwing away the 2Kg i have left. Stick with the basic flavours is my advice.

I bought the latte flavour. At first it tasted good but it's extremely sweet followed by a bitter taste of something like coffee. Was easy to drink for the first week but now it makes me sick. Mixes pretty well and is very effective. I have used this product for just two weeks now and can already notice the difference. Definitely a must buy if you are looking to build some serious muscles but do not even bother to try the latte flavour.

Mixability - Mixes well with little foaming. you do get some small sandy bits so you have to "down" the shake in order to get the small bits of creatine. but what do you expect with creatine incoporated. Taste - I bought the Mocha flavour to give it a shot, and it does taste like mocha. i mean its not as enjoyable as a hot coffee for obvious reasons! but still, impressive. I always have my shakes with water for faster absorbption and also gives a better indication of how good the flavouring actually is. as previously stated it is very sweet. more like a mocha with 3 sugars, but thats not really an issue. Effectiveness - used around half a bag and taking 2 shakes a day (2 scoops in each) morning and night, alongside 2 basic whey shakes throughout the day to keep optimum protein amounts for bullding muscle. I am actually very surprised that i am not gaining fat, however, appear to be losing fat and gaining lean muscle, which i was not expecting. Obviously this can be due to training, but from my experience, the Hurricane definitely has some input on this. Maybe the hmb is helping reduce musle degredation, who knows. Good stuff though, and certainly helping a lot with giving me a quick recovery. I really DO notice if i do not use it. Overall I am impressed. The only negative (which isn't really a negative - more a question to MyProtein reps) is an hour after consuming the shake and using the gents, urine really does stink like Mocha. God knows what flavourings/sweeteners are going in to cause this human coffee machine effect, so a slight worry for me, but not going to stop me using it any time soon.

I have been roughly the same weight for years and don't put on weight or muscle easily. Used morning and evening for about 3 weeks, and have put on 1.5kg (about 4lbs) already. This is great, but I'm not sure how much of the weight gain is due to water retention from the Creatine...so I'm going to try the Creatine-less Total Gainer so I have something to compare it with. The taste is OK, much better than what I had before, although it is very sweet (Chocolate Smooth). I also found that when using Hurricane XS I didn't ache so much the next day and recovery time was much much quicker, would definitely recommend this product.

Cant recommend this enough. The only downside is that it made me put on weight. Having said that I put on over 10kg and grew like mad from april to august while using this. Use it with CEE tablets. As for taste - all I hear about is people whining it doesnt taste nice. Its a means to an end, to make you grow so just down it and let it do its work!

Ive been going to the gym for a few years, i have always had frequent bouts of tonsillitis which have caused me to lose drastic weight after i have gained it. Ive steadily but surely got bigger, being 12 stone at the beginning of the year and a little over 11 after i had my tonsils removed, i am now at a much heavier 13 stone though i have now started to find it abit more difficult to gain muscle, and decided to start using shakes again, i hadnt for about 3 years. I ordered this product on Saturday night and recieved it on Monday afternoon despite using the super saver delivery option, super saver service indeed! I have always found protein shakes to be well...disgusting and difficult to mix...but i was pleasantly suprised, i ordered the Raspberry flavour, it seems to mix in about 4 shakes and although it may not have tasted like a McDonalds milkshake, it was certainly the best tasting protein shake ive had yet! It will work because its loaded with Carbs, Protein and Creatine, it doesnt work if the person doesnt work!

started using this product about 3 weeks ago and im already seeing and feeling the results already. It maybe not the best tasteing shake ever but it can be stomached , i have the choc mint and i take it with water for the full effect of the ingrediants . overall this shake does exactly what it says you add lean muscle and feel full if used as a meal replacement but know your body is getting the best proteins available . i use pulse half an hour before training andf this after trainingand it works well . thanks my protein

I haven't been using this very long but i have already noticed a massive difference. I am personally a rower and row for The South Coast and need high strength in lower and upper body as well as good endurance. I have found this product very good as you can control how much you build up. Also I became injured due to rugby and tore muscle in my chest, i went to the gym 2-4 times and within that noticed the protein had helped the process of recovery. By using the cable machines i am back to full sporting order in half the expected recovery time. AMAZING! <3

Been getting slow and steady results for the last 5 months with Whey Protein Isolate but decided to try a 2.5kg pouch of hurricane xs and see how it went. Been very pleased with the results, not amazing gains (thats just my genetics) but definite improvement. Ordered the 5kg pouch and looking forward to seeing what gains I can make by Christmas. Unflavoured didn't taste so good to begin with but I got used to it pretty quick (also add half a tablespoon of coco powder to help it along).

Hurricane XS - After noting the rather dubious list of flavourings and the damning reviews of being over sweetened I opted for the unflavoured version. To be honest, on it's own (I prefer milk to water) it's pretty unpalatable. TASTE TOP TIP: Add 4 teaspoons of Nesquik, your choice of flavour (I prefer Strawberry) and this becomes a very pleasant shake indeed - I almost look forward to it! MIXABILITY TOP TIP: If you add about 1/4 of the milk initially and stir it into a thick paste then add the remaining milk and flavouring this mixes perfectly with no lumps. I can't really comment on it's effectiveness as I've only had 2 shakes but I'm looking forward to some visible results soon...

Verry tasty product taking it in phases and its doing me good, noticed a slight difference but nothing huge, im a hard gainer so going to try mp max total gainer and see how that works. My strength is increasing but not my mass as much so i think a gainer will help.

Great product, gets the job done. One issue though is some of the flavours are absolutely disgusting. I bought the toffee flavour to see what it was like, and I tell you what, I have only had a few servings of it since buying it a few months ago - it really does taste that bad. I have previously tried the banana and chocolate flavours and they are manageable, I just wish I had kept to those flavours. The product is extremely easy to mix (MP seem to have made the shakes a lot thinner than I remember as this stuff is literally like water now compared to having the consistency of a milkshake before) and will definitely purchase again.

started at 10st 2lb, Use to take rival products for 3/4 months and put on about 8lbs as i struggle putting on weight, after that time my weight increase stopped and started to decrease which was demoralising and expensive so i switched to hurricane xs just before christmas and within 3 months i got up to 11st 8lb (mostly muscle) started to feel great, and started to look good which my mates commented on my size, which earned me the name 'tenser' in stead of spencer lol In feburary i tore 30% of my cartilage off my shoulder while hitting a serve in tennis, so ive had surgery, its now October (17 weeks) after surgery and im back in training again. So i have gone all out with making my diet really good and having all my supplements including XS and so far i have started to see great results. I have got to 11st 7lb and lost most of the fat that i got from being off training for ages. I definatley recommend this product if you find it hard to put weight on (muscle mass not fat). Taste wise i got mint chocolate and it tasted nice at 1st but then it just got too sickly, so switched to smooth chocolate and its reasonable, not too sweet, easy to down after a session.

If this stuff was in a ufc heavy weight contest XS comes in as the undisputed champ of All in ones, LB for LB this exceeds other brads in it's shear £ for weight ratio and packs a punch to boot, it's key ingredients out do expensive more commercial brands by the numbers and are of a superior quality, you don't get no gimmick or hype and useless "fillers" it does it's job and it does it beyond expectation, I have unflavored and add flavdrops to suit my taste, in the morning i also add some extra impact whey and 30 mins before work out some extra creapure to give that extra ko punch and balance the ingredients, 3 servings a day . in the 2 months I've been using I've gone from 150lb bloat to a hard 180lb monster I'm on a 4 day split 2 day cardio, i wont be using any other all in one again!!

Good, effective product. Mixes fine - I use 3 Scoops (130g-ish) in a shaker, with 250ml Milk / 200ml water, then down the hatch. Ive got the chocolate nut, not one id buy again, has a very chemically after taste. This is not a dig as I have a weak stomach at the best of times - But does anyone find they have a bad stomach following drinking this? Since i've started using it, about 30 - 45 minutes of drinking im looking for a loo! Not sure if its this product or just me!! Nothing else has changed in my diet tho - Thinking it could just be the change of protein/creatine? All in all a good product!

5kg - Unflavoured... This is a monumental occassion, as I never bother writing reviews for any purchases I have made online, but I really thought this product deserved some comments. I ordered this on a Saturday, used the Yodel free delivery service and it arrived on the following Monday - Superb service. I'd read the other reviews and was expecting this powder to be frothy and fairly bad to drink. Having made my first shake today, without any new fangled mixing balls, nor even a plastic mesh thingy, I can state that it mixed very well, absolutely no frothing whatsoever, you have to bare in mind it has creatine and oats in it, so it is grainy and does taste a little porridgey. The taste is a little tangy, again, this is due to the HMB and creatine in it, the flavoured ones would obviously taste nicer, but then you've got the nasty sweetners to worry about. I mixed mine with 300ml water, 1 x large scoop equals about 32 to 35grams powder in each scoop, so 2 scoops. I always opt for flavourless, purely due to my concerns about aspartame and other sweetners, so to make it taste a little better I popped in a little of my daughters raspberry milkshake flavouring. I initially thought the price was a little expensive as my last lot of protein was the smooth milk protein, for 5kg's I paid about £30, but when you think of the other ingredients in this bad boy you start to realise its cost effectiveness. Also I am a lazy beggar and cant be bothered opening up bag after bag of individual ingredients and measuring each one out just to make my shakes up I cant comment on the effectiveness of this product yet as its only day one using it, in lieu of my usual Myprotein smooth milk protein, however creatine is creatine and HMB I have always found to be fairly effective, so I dont think I will be dissapointed.

The choc mint is way too sweet with a bitter aftertaste and made me gag after a workout so much so I stopped using it. Just got the banana today and what a difference. It tastes great and is not too sweet and I actually look forward to drinking it.

This has a grainy texture compared to other companies all-in-ones. I can deal with that. What I couldn't deal with is the insane sweetness of it. I bought choc smooth and it tasted like I was drinking a bag of sugar. It feels like the flavouring used didn't take the dextrose into account. Disappointed as I like MP products.

started at 10st 2lb, Use to take maxi muscle progain and cyclone for 3/4 months and put on about 8lbs as i struggle putting on weight, after that time my weight increase stopped and started to decrease which was demoralising and expensive so i switched to hurricane xs just before christmas and within 3 months i got up to 11st 8lb (mostly muscle) started to feel great, and started to look good which my mates commented on my size, which earned me the name 'tenser' in stead of spencer lol In feburary i tore 30% of my cartilage off my shoulder while hitting a serve in tennis, so ive had surgery, its now september (15 weeks) after surgery and im back in training again. So i have gone all out with making my diet really good and having all my supplements including XS

Review:
This was the first protein powder I used, and after reading the reviews on this site I ended up getting the Chocolate Smooth flavoured option - It tastes like I'm drinking chocolate flavoured aspartame (i.e not nice). I'd recommend this flavour if you enjoy the taste of sweeteners, otherwise I'd go for the flavourless and add your own. I see a lot of people complaining about mixability, and honestly I found it to be a bit grainy as well. However, I tried with warmer water, which greatly reduced the grainyness and actually improved the flavour when mixed with water. Try it! Just make sure you don't use boiling water as this can have bad effects on the protein.

I was on True Whey for a long time and was noticing some improvement. I then decided to start Hurricane XS and boy does this stuff work! I noticed visible size improvement within a week! Mind you I train 6 times a week with 4 weights days 1.5-2hrs each, 1 heavy cardio day 1hr spinning and 1 Ashtanga Yoga day 1hr. So recovery is key! This stuff does both, improve size and recovery! I went for the unflavoured option because it's slightly cheaper and also it has virtually no taste so I can add whatever flavour I want in the morning oats breakfast for example blueberries, honey, etc. It doesn't really mix well even in a shaker but that's little to worry about. However one piece of advise. Keep your old empty tubs! This was the first product that I bought in this packaging and the sealing mechanism was damaged. MP kindly sent me an empty tub but this will be a lesson learned for me. I now have 2 tubs and will keep them. Great stuff overall!

First thing you notice is that it is a bit grainy no matter how much you shake it. I got the choc nut flavour which was ok but didn't really taste of chocolate or nuts. It was also very sweet. To be honest most of these shakes aren't very tasty but after a hard workout I don't really care as long as it works. The best points about Hurricane XS are the important ones though. I became much stronger after a week which equates to one body part worked and recovered in 7 days. Every muscle group increases in strength. When you are getting the right nutrients at the right time you can't go wrong. My biggest downfall is overeating but with this I seemed to recover quicker and not be as hungry until a few hours after my workout was finished. At the price and maybe there is a nicer flavour I have yet to try this is the best available.

Didn't mix as good as i thought it would with the MP shaker, grainy at the bottom. Strawberry and cream flavour tastes nice and I felt it was a great recovery shake. Took it for a month, working 4-5 times a week, taking it on my rest days aswell.

Although not something to base the whole product on, the intial taste and mixability of the product is always important because it's the only thing you'll be able to notice for the first few days! I've been using the chocolate mint flavoured Hurricane XS for the past month now, but the first week, I couldn't bear the stuff; I was used to the sweet, smooth taste of the cookies and cream impact why protein, but this, despite using the ball and beaker, was esepcially grainy with water and tastes VERY "chemical", and the mint is somewhat overpowering and excessive! However, milk makes the whole thing significantly more bearable, and onto what REALLY matters- gains. I have noticed a fair difference, visually. Bulk? Not so much because I've been doing low weights, but reps have increased slightly and muscles are more defined. Despite the taste and grainy-ness when mixed with water, I'm happy with the product, but next time I may buy another flavour.

I got the Banana flavour and it is so sweet and sickly i had to just take 1 scoop twice as putting 2 scoops in one shaker felt lik drinking sugar and made me feel ill later. Why i didn't buy chocolate flavour who knows but in future that's all i'm having. It was hard for me to judge this against a rival product (which gave me great results previously) as i didn't train as hard but i wasn't dissapointed with the results for the effort i put in. Again i stopped taking it and lost the motivation as it never settled in my stomach good.

Super fast delivery as always. Choc Smooth was sold out so went with Choc Nut. It is a tad sweet but I'm used to unflavoured whey so a treat for me. Mixes very very well with a shaker with the aggitator fitted inside. Hopefully this will be a good replacement for the overpriced rival products which tbh I did get good results from but begrudged the price tag. I'll report back in a few weeks as to performance. :)

Starting using MP about 18 months ago, never got round to doing a review. I'm on my 5th 2.5 KG bag of chocolate smooth. I'm not one to really judge protein products on how they taste because it's their effectiveness that counts. But, chocolate smooth is actually pretty nice. Mixes very easily and with a few good shakes goes down very smoothly. Effectiveness-wise couldn't be better. Been on and off the product, but during my last heavy pre-season rugby phase I was doing gym 3/4 times a week and hurricane xs helped my put on about 3.5 kilos in about 5 weeks. Put on almost no fat with it as well. Hurricane XS is the product that keeps me buying MP; effective, tasty and about half the price of other brands with all the benefits.

Hi, First off, ive used this for three weeks after coming back off of travelling for a month. Before i left i was muscular and lean. When i got back, i was a mess! Great holiday, but really did leave me fat, and with a lot less size. So i was looking for a shake that was not just protein, but a great post workout shake (added carbs). After deciding between this and recovery xs, i am pleased. In three weeks, i have surpassed where i was, although thanks to muscle memory and new and more intense workouts, i still dont think the mass would have come this quick. Im also using the supplements noted below, but this is definitely a worth while product. If you have any problems with mixability, it would be the very refined oats that are included. Mix 4 to 5 times and let it settle every time for a minute, and its the best you'll get. Great shake! Cant wait to see the effects in 3 months.

Just recieved this product! got the vanilla flavour and this shake is absolutly disgusting-its like drinking sand suppose its the creatine! its make me sick and not looking forward to drinking it, compare to true whey, impact whey and total gainer. Disappointed. As the nutritional information suggests, only 30g of protein per 70g shake, with a few carbs and a small portion of Creatine. You would be better buying 2kg of whey protein and 1kg of creatine and making your own shake. I've not noticed any surplus gains that I wouldn't have achieved without this product. Personally, I wouldn't buy it again.

Mixability - Mixes well, although quite grainy which I assume is the creatine. Also, I would adivse to stir this shake rather than 'shake' it as it creates a large amount of froth. As stupid as that may sound, it makes your body feel as if it taking in a lot more than it actually is Taste - I can only advise you not to get Strawberry and Cream. It is far too sweet and very sickly. I actually have to hold my nose and down it in one now. Effectivness - Yeah it works, you'll notice its effectiveness when you don't take it before a workout. As for the recommended guidelines, there is no reason to take it twice a day. The main reason being the large amount of carbs. I would suggest taking it before your workout.

Got the mint chocolate flavour and it tastes unreal!! mix it with full fat milk and it just tastes like an after 8 milkshake that you pay like £3 from a milkshake shop except its good for you (trying to bulk hence the full fat milk). Bought this after taking a very similar but branded and about three times more expensive supplement (I'm sure most of you know what product I'm talking about) which by the way was by far the worst tasting supplement I've ever had but had good results so was abit of shock when got nearly same product except miles cheaper and didn't only not make me nearly puke but I actually enjoy drinking, about to order a new bag cheers myprotein!

I've now been on Hurricane XS for 4 weeks, I started using it primarily to get some good quality protein, and also aid in getting enough calories throughout a hectic day, as apparently I wasn't eating enough. The smooth chocolate flavour i've been using with water is absolutely fine, seriously, there's nothing wrong with it at all, i'd actually goes as far as to say I enjoy drinking it. Every now and then I get a small 'clump' in the mixer, but generally, again, it's fine. Effectiveness is difficult to judge, as i've changed my diet dramatically at the same time as taking the shakes, but i've had noticeable gains, and am now making my second order as i'm running low. It satiates my hunger completely, and in such a short time, i've lost quite considerable body fat and toned up. I'll add that my exercise has remained largely unchanged. So it's definately what i'm consuming which is making the difference. Top stuff, and I don't usually do reviews, but I felt compelled to do so.

Used this for 4 weeks and noticed a definiate strength gain on final sets. I piled on some size too over the 4 weeks training 5 days out of 7. I got the mint choc flavour which is a bit too sickly for me. Mixability - you have to give it a proper shake and occasionally I still founf a few lumps but nothing I would choke on. All in all a great product and alot cheaper than high street competitors. I will be purchasing again on my next creatine phase but I'll go for toffee or strawberry flavour next time. Nice one MP!

Over the period of about a month I have used Hurricane XS and witnessed great physical improvements, to the fact I was actually shocked. I actually didn't think it would affect me that much, but I have increased in size a lot. Right now I am about a month after finishing my 2.5kg and am about to purchase some more. What is quite apparent while on Hurricane XS, is the water retention you gain, this is probably due to the creatine. You look like you've put a bit of fat on, but in actual fact it's just water, as a month later, after using Hurricane, the water seems to have disappeared and I've been left with an incredible amount of muscle mass than before I used it, trust me, this stuff is actually class! It's like a cheaper and more effective version of competitor's products. Hope this all made sense lads haha Cheers MP

My initial impression of this product was that it tasted far too watery, I struggled to finish my first serving... it felt watery and gritty. I tried another serving with 200ml of water and this was much nicer, I definitely wouldn't mix it with 300ml as instructed. Hurricane XS is a good all in one, when mixed with 200ml of water it's pretty easy to digest and mixes well. didn't leave me feeling bloated. As far as working, I have a very high work load... on top of my own training I instruct several classes/take clients running etc and I feel like it supports me well. For the price the ingredients do well to match it's competitors. Unfortunately I have to knock my score down to a 3 because of the use of Quinoline, Sunset Yellow and Carmoisine for colouring, the are suspected to have adverse affect on health and are carciogens... disappointing. However these are only in the banana and raspberry flavours. The chocolate smooth is pretty much just cocoa powder. Chocolate Smooth gets a 4-5... The products with unneeded E numbers are lucky to get a 3 from me.

Ordered 2.5 kg of Mint Choc...gonna get this outta the way 1st. Yes it is a very strong flavour and quite sweet, you will get used to it after a couple of days and i've tasted ALOT worse! Mixes quite well, I would shake for a good 30 seconds (workout permitting) and occassionally find a lump or 2 but nothing to choke on. Gains wise, I pound on 10 pounds in a month, some water retenetion from the creatine but mostly muscle that stayed once the 4 week rotation was over. Didn't want to plough too much creatine into my body for longer than that. I took this mainly as a post workout drink and sometimes in the morning after breakfast on training days. Noticed good strengh gains in the period of taking XS too, adding around 20 kg to my bench over the 4 weeks. (not alot of gain you say) well not bad I think as only been back in the gym for 2 months prior to starting taking this All in One. I would recommend if you want a cheap/effective no nonsense all in one, a rival product is probably a tiny bit better but for the price you cant go wrong with Hurricane. I will be ordering again in 10 weeks for the next load up session! 4/5

Got this as part of a bundle, had my first shakes today and I have to say mixes great in a shaker, no little lumps of powder. As people have said the taste is quite sweet, but I would rather have a sweet shake I can drink than one I can barely get down me! I can't say about results, but in terms of the other factors seems to be a great product.

Ive been using MyProtein for a while now, after switching from a well known vastly marketed suppliment company, and I can honestly say I cannot fault it in any way whatsoever. I get great gains from your products but would recommend Hurricane XS for anyone wishing to build good quality, lean muscle. My review here is long over due to be honest. Just recieved another Unflavoured Hurricane XS with really fast delivery, but this time with a free toffee tasting supplment to put in my shake. Nice little suprise! Thanks again, by far the best value and most effective suppliments in my eyes.

Have been using this for a few weeks now, can't understand the griping about the taste, if you are bothered about the flavour of the shake buy one from Maccy D's.... Mixability has been criticised, however, I have found that if you push the powder through a kitchen sieve before mixing it mixes up brilliantly. Gains have been good so far, trying to strengthen up after knee surgery (badly wasted quads...) hoping continued use will also help with endurance for training.

Just changing my review as I commented on the sunset yellow colouring and said I wouldn't be using again because of this. I've now seen that it's only in the Banana flavour so it's not a problem as I have the choc smooth/mint. As soon as I started using it people noticed gains. It mixes very easily using the blender (5-10 hard shakes is all it takes!) and with water it tastes OK. With milk it tastes like a milk shake! Very good value and delivery is usually next day. Well worth the money.

Okay Ill be short and sharp in this. 1. Taste - Great from Smooth Chocolate, would definately recommend, I only use water since I find Milk to actually make it very sweet! (leading to these "its too sweet" reviews) 2. Mixability- lumpy and takes alot of stirring but no pain no gain (taking 30 seconds to stir isn't really much hassle to be honest) 3. Gains- Definately saw gains, nice energy boost, and it really is great for morning supplementation and even as a small meal supplement as a "go between". 4. Additives - Yes it does have additives, but one is only in the Banana flavour (Quinoline Yellow), and for people panicking on the reviews, these additives are also in many Galaxy chocolate products so chill! 5. Overall- Very very nice product for beginners or even hardcore trainers. If looking for ultra clean bulk/cutting I would recommend maybe reducing the amount per portion (say 40g rather than 70g) and taking it 2-3 times like that per day. You get the same amount but without the blood sugar spike! But nice one MP!

I've been using Chocolate Hurricane for about 3 months now whilst out in Afghanistan, and so far I love it. Its like supplement city out here, everyone is on something and I decided to stay with myprotein. Whist guys are spending hundereds of Dollars on leading brands out here I'm paying less and getting more. It is a little gritty but nothing major, and the chocolate tastes very good...although that may be because its one of the few sweet things out here! All in all a very good product that I would reccommend to anyone!

Best all-in-one I've tried and noticeable results from the start. As far as the taste thing goes ... one word ... Nesquik ... I honestly don't know why they bother offering flavoured supplements when Nesquik works beautifully every time.

The results are all I'm interested in and I'm definitely noticing differences. As far as taste goes ive bought chocolate smooth andI actually like it. A bit sweet but fine. Seriously the amount of people who moan about flavours on this site. It saves money and does the job. It makes me wonder if you can't put yourself through a drink not quite as nice as nesquick how do you man up enough to do a painful workout. If I paid the same price as similar products on the market I would rate this as 4 stars but i didn't and it gets 5 from me.

I drink unflavoured with water, you just gotta gulp it down and continue with your day, far too many on here crying about it. You save a few bob and get a bit of extra proper ingredient. But what is actually important is the gains. Gains are definitely there. I drink after small breakfast and again immediately post workout.

Just had my first pouch of hurricane XS and I'm a couple of days in. I can only comment on taste at the minute, but thought I would add a review because it was a concern having read some negative reviews. I've bought chocolate smooth and its not bad at all. It is a bit sweet for my taste but i dont have a sweet tooth. There is a slight poweriness to the drink but I attribute that to the oat content. It also doesnt seem to have bothered my guts like some people have said. I cant imagine people finding it so bad that they bin it after one drink. Its quite nice! And it mixes well with semiskimmed. Overall im happy at the mo, fingers crossed for gains...

Ive been using this for 3 months now and its fantastic! I have got stronger, faster and fitter for my boxing. I am 6'3, 16 stone and have kept at 16 stone but my bodyfat percentage is very low. Hurricane XS has helped. I take one in the morning and one post workout and it does the trick!

I havent been using this stuff for long so i havent had time to see any benefits yet. All i do know is that compared to the impact why protein i was using previously, this stuff tastes naff. However, I am the sort of person who turns his nose up at pretty much anything that isnt chicken nuggets so if you're even remotely serious about training (or have an unhealthy obsession with rasberry flavoured paracetamol) then the taste shouldnt be a problem

bought my first batch of this a while back and noticed massive improvents in size gains and recovery time almost immediatley after a couple of weeks the size gains tailed off but i was only training every other day and having one shake on the day i trained only. I decided to up my intake to one shake every morning with two scoops instant oats added and one shake after training on my training day too and soon started to see improvents again. so much so i recently ordered two more 2.5kg bags of hurricane and a 5kg bag of instant oats. taste of unflavoured is VILE but mixed with nesquik is ok. i just bought some banana and toffee flavdrops with my last order and they are pretty good i put ten drops per shake in which will last me 100 shakes so at 7.99 its not bad compared to the price of nesquik which also has extra sugar e.t.c which flavdrops dont. they dnt taste anything special but if your a wuss like me they definitley take the edge off and make unflavored drinkable. will definitley buy hurricane xs in the future

I started using Hurricane XS (Choc Smooth Flavor) 2 days ago. I was surprised at the great taste and mixability, nevertheless I must say that even the taste gives away the great amounts of sugar in it. It's way too sweet to be good for maintaining a sugar-free diet. It's still the beginning so I will be reviewing this for effectiveness in the future.

I haven't used this product but I would like to respond to Hugh Kimber's review dated 11/03/2011: "Been using Hurrican XS for a year now and its the best all in one shake I've used for recovery. I've tried them all over the last 15 years. Strawberry tastes great, its mixes well with a few good in a my protein shaker. However... I have just read a warning on the back of my latest purcase "contains Quinoline Yellow & Carmoisine". This is banned in U.S. but still legal in UK. Its a food colourant which is proven to trigger cancer with excessive use. Brilliant. Glad I've been drinking this stuff twice a day for the last 365 days" The two food colourants mentioned are not used for the strawberry flavour, so you don't need to worry.

Have been using the shake for about a week now, and allready seen an increase in size of muscles ive been training and feeling more pumped for longer after a gym session. I chose raspberry and it tastes horrid, im getting more used to the taste but you just have to grit your teeth and drink it. it doesnt mix to great either, theres still a few lumps no matter how hard you have to mix it. Overall not a great taste but really fast working shake and have allready seen a huge difference! great product!

I first purchased this product as unflavoured and thought how bad can it be? But believe me it is horrendus! It made me gag and I could not finish the bag and had to resort to adding small survings to other supplements so that you could not taste it! I then purchased two bags of chocolate smooth and found it to be the best tasting shake I have ever had. This product is a must buy for any serious trainers and the price of this product ensures that you can take two a day without a large strain on your wallet.

My stomach couldnt handle all the creatine and after afew days I went back to MRP. I would recoment trying 10-15g of creatine before you buy this product, just incase. I now have half a scoop of this, with 2 scoops of MRP so as not to waste it and ive had no problems since.

Amazing product with effectiveness and value. Use it twice a day on training days supporting a lean mass weight training programme. I got choc nut and it just tastes like choc smooth just slightly sweeter however it still tastes great. The only one problem I have with this product is its mixability you need about 600mls of water just to make it non sandy.

I had the Strawberry cream flavour. I bought 2 bags of the same flavour to save a few quid. Big mistake! It is so sweet and sickly that i still have one bag left which i can't bring myself to use. I think it worked, but the taste was soo sweet that the benefit does not out weigh the taste.

Been taking this supplement a few days now. Haven't noticed a massive difference yet, obviously, but I do feel less knackered and like I can give more in my workout which is great. Drinking it twice a day is a lot of creatine so it's important to drink lots of water whilst taking this. Speaking of which, only fault is if you let it settle for a moment the creatine settles at the bottom so give it a swill before you swig! Taste is really great though after trying a few supplement drinks out there (Chocolate flavour).

I bought the 'Chocolate Smooth' version, compared to unflavoured, it tastes like a dream. Nevertheless it is a little sweet, think I'd try a different flavour next time. This stuff works great and is value for money in that sense. In fact it works nearly as well as another more famous brand with similar ingredients, and is better value. However, the strawberry flavored one tastes absolutely putrid. I am in full agreement with others on this issue. It is the HMB which has an overpowering chemical taste. It works but drinking it really is a horrible experience. All i can say is NO PAIN NO GAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a seriously hardgainer but for the first time I have found some decent quicker gains with this powder. Really helps those struggling to get a really high calorie intake, especially if used in-between meals to really boost those calories. Who cares about taste and so on, you can drink it and that's what matters. However, if you do care, I've got choc mint and it's just fine. Recovery time is definitely shortened but only with good food intake too, you can't 100% rely on a shake for recovery if you're a hardgainer to be honest. Great product, definitely recommend.

i ordered some choc nut by mistake as i was in a rush and after reading the reviews on here i was a bit apprehensive about taking it. i can safely say that most of the people here just put bad reviews on because they think its funny because i think the choc nut is the best thing i have ever tasted. i had to reorder after only 4 days i was hooked on the stuff and was drinking it as a replacement for my fluid intake. i have been on the training scene a long time and have tried some nasty stuff the worst which had me in tears as it was so repulsive but the choc nut is a delight and mixes well with orange juice. 9 thumbs up :-)

I've put off taking protein shakes for a few years but I'm glad I saw sense and jumped on the band wagon! I bought hurricane xs after being told about it from a good friend, who luckily is the same build as me so I could see the potential working on him. I bought banana flavour and it tastes horrible with water! However with milk it tastes just like milkshake. My advice would be always drink it with milk, as you get the good flavour and the added nutrients and protein in the milk. I noticed huge increases in the first 4 weeks of use, managing to add up to 20kg onto the weights in the gym. Hurricane xs has also aided my weight increase, I found it very hard to gain any meaningful weight before using hurricane xs. A good buy. Top Product!

Love this stuff, so much cheaper and simple then buying separate bags of acids/protein/creatine etc. Needless to say it works a charm as well, one PWO and one either at night or in the morning. Gets me back on my feet for the next days training with noticeable gains.

400 ml of water and 1 1/2 scoops of good ol' chocolate smooth. To avoid lumps and stuck bits add the powder to water. If your taking it in your mixer and adding water to it at the gym, put the water in gently and tip upside down when you get the lid on.. Don't shake to hard to start with :)

Very good post workout shake. There is a slight, soft grittiness but that's clearly from the finely milled oats. Everything else in the powder dissolves instantly. If you leave it standing there can be a very slight build up of "sludge" at the bottom from the oats but that's solved by a quick shake to float them around again. The taste is quite sweet but not bad at all.

First time I have ordered anything from My Protein. I purchased this as I prefer all in ones instea of having creatine, HMB protein. I have a scoop with my oats first thing in morning, two scoops after my weights. Initially I notice a good increase in strength and appear bigger too. I had the chocolte mint flavour, got to say it is by far tthe best flavoured powder I have ever had! Only downside was delivery I ordered Thursday night nd it said next day it came Monday afternoon. I was expecting this apart from an email I recieved Thursday night saying if you recieved this before 9pm it was 830 it will be with you tomorrow. But I think it was more to do with the courier than My Protein.

I found that Hurricane XS was good as a recovery drink, when I had it after a gym session I really felt better the next day, no aches or pains such as when I'm not taking a shake. However, the taste of the Chocolate Nut is absolutely awful! I wanted the nutrients but couldn't stomach it with water, milk was better but still a rancid after-taste. As for the nutritional breakdown and price, I bought it a while ago and can't think why I didn't go for something with more protein, I'll be going for a weight gainer next even if it's more expensive. Saying that, £27.49 isn't that good for 2.2 KG. the weight gainer I'm looking at is £50 for 5kg! Far better value, with more than double the protein, four times the carbs and full of extras like digestive enzymes, amino acids, and other useful stuff. Anyway, good as recovery drink, don't go for Choc. Nut, and you may even want to reconsider buying it as it's not that great value either.

This is the second time I have used HXS, I have to say that when comparred to normal whey it rains suppreame, definitally notice greater lean muscle devlopment and seen strength and endurance gains, I take two scoops after training, and two scoops of whey in the morning before work. Recovery times were also alot fast and a lot less painfull when compared to whey. This product is just a cheaper equally as good version as a well known competitor brand, works out at over a pound per serving cheaper than its rival. Its money better in your pocket than someone elses. No I am not a sales rep from mp, just heavily impressed with HXS in terms off quality and value for money.

I take this twice as instructed (once in morning & again post work out), but I feel I am missing out on recovery AFTER my workout as I’m use to taking a shake for recovery after. as many others have said, it is effective, if you can take the taste it's disgusting, i understand raspberry is the worst, but for god sake DON'T BUY ITTT!!!! it tastes vile, and makes you feel siick with a headache, quite ill really. Been taking this for about a week now, decided to go for the banana flavour instead of choc smooth and it tastes great with milk or water, cannot comment on gains due to the short time using the product, my only concern is that you are recommended to take 2x 70g serving a day, which gives you a total of 10g of creapure, from what ive heard 5g of creapure is all you need and i hope taking 10g per day isnt gonna give me any problems.

ok first off this product is simple. its their to aid gaining muscle/weight. it does exactly that no fuss no hassle, take the stated amounts before and after a work out and you will gain in no time. with the amino acids i put on roughly 4lb in one week, all in muscle. i started on this in january after finishing cutting with true whey. i was 11st 4lb in january. im currently 12st 5lb and my body fat % is currently 13%. it does taste bitty and im on the rasberry flavour which i would NOT recomend. its too sweet and sickly but thats not enough to not have the product. the results speak for themselves!!

Just finished my first batch and thought I would post a review. Mix-ability - Poor at best. Using MP's Blender Bottle, no matter how long you shake it for, it just doesn't mix well. Has a fine grain sand texture. Mixing it with 1 scoop of Impact Blend Whey helps a lot. Taste - Not bad but I don't expect it to taste like a field of strawberries and chocolate. Effectiveness - Excellent. The creatine has a habit of making you drink a LOT more water so be prepared for the constant bathroom trips! Overall - Definitely would recommend.

I have been using this for around 2 months now, i have seen significant gains in both muscle size and strength. My recovery time is also greatly improved. I am not one to really care for taste and mixability because it's not what matters but it tastes great and mixes almost perfectly apart from some white lumps, probably the creapure, i definitely recommend the Choc Mint flavour. Great product overall my advice is to combine this with a high protein, high calorie but healthy diet and to push yourself to the limit in training sessions to see maximum gains.

I have been using this for about 6 weeks. I have 2 scoops with about 300ml of water immediately after Gym. It works exactly as described. Performance has increased a little but my recovery is very good! The Mint-choc is sweet enough to satisfy but not too sweet. Only neg is that it makes me very thirsty for hours after taking.

The taste isn't too bad but having to make sure there is a toilet in a 5 metre radius for an hour afterwards gets quite annoying. Experienced terrible stomach pains followed by a half hour stint sat on the toilet every time. Stopped after 4 times as it cannot be a coincidence.

Well, I gave this product a pretty scolding review when I purchased the chocolate flavour. But I decided to give it one more shot by trying the unflavoured powder... I can honestly say it was a VERY good move. With milk there is only a slight hint of taste and it is quite easy to drink. I don't miss that sweetness at all. PLUS it means I ca mix in my own different flavours should I choose to. Take my advice, and by this UNFLAVOURED. Now it's a quality product !

I've now tried the Chocolate Nut, Banana, Raspberry and Smooth Chocolate and I must say that the best is the Chocolate Smooth, it mixes much better than the others and tastes great and not too sweet. The Raspberry however has to be the worst flavour, it is very sweet and leaves me feeling extremely sick after about 30 mins, none of the others have made me feel like this. I've now got 2.5kg of it to shift through!

Honestly, the combination of ingredients that myprotein use in this 'all-in-one' are fantastic. There seems to be a great balance for those who wish to gain lean mass, particularly you hard-gainers ( I am certainly one!) Now, regardless of whether or not you say the taste should not matter... it does. For this product atleast. Be prepared to have your head blown off by the sweetness. It's absolutely ridiculous. It's not even the kind of bearable sweetness.. it's just unpleasant and made me sick to my stomach. For value and content... its great. For taste... it leaves me unable to comment on its effectiveness. Dissapointing =/

Review:
I bought this having already used **COMPETITOR**. The numbers are all virtually the same, so performance isn't really an issue. Taste is OK (I bought smooth choc), and if you mix with the liquid egg white it does give a really easy protein boost, and tastes the same. HOWEVER...the greatest bug bear I have with this, which is almost enough to put me off recommending this product is the fact that I have to sieve each and every serving as MP seem to have large lumps of a white powder throughout the bag. These lumps don't mix and make me gag should I drink them. I have no idea what it is that forms these clumps, but no other all in one has them, and I would change back to Twister if this problem continues.

Good stuff, feels like it's working, although I don't like taking creatine. Word of advice... The strawberry one tastes horrific. Way too sweet. Wish I stuck with chocolate flavour!

Took this for 3 months as part of a strength and weight increase. I'm a hard gainer but seen my best ever weight increase with this stuff. 5kg in 3 months. I dare say diet change probably played more of a role in this but Hurricane certainly helped. The taste was the only problem for me. I had chocolate and while it did taste chocolatey and had no bad after taste etc it was just far too sweet for me. My wife has a sweet tooth and when she tried it even she thought it was really sweet. I had to just neck them down as best I could

The taste is a difficult one since some don't like the chocolate-candy flavor, but I'd have to say it taste better than expected, And I'd recommend to use it as a meal replacement. Although you should add the exact amount of water and not less than it says, just 50 ml made it so thick that it tasted like powder only, 4.5/5.0

When I first purchased this product, i got chocolate flavour, and it to date it had been the best tasting/mixing and had shown the best results from a shake i had ever had before. i had no end of people commenting on how big i looked. and so as expected after having a break i reordered, this time opting for the choc mint. this time it didnt mix as well, didnt taste anywhere near as good as chocolate smooth and i didnt see much difference in size/strength. in two minds now of wether to buy again or to change product,,,

Received my hurricane today. 1st order from here aswell, was very pleased. Mixed a drink up with water, mixed fine after a 10 second shake! I got the chocolate flavour and it's actually nice to drink unlike a lot of supps! First impressions are great!

Choco smooth is by far the best flavour. Stay away from raspberry it tastes really bad and made me feel sick every time I drank it. Choco nut isn't much better bit of a plastic taste. Stick to the choco smooth and you wont go wrong because its a fantastic product and the value is excellent. Get it down you and see the results!

Just got the Choc smooth flavour Hurricane XS and it tastes great. I wouldn't change a a thing. Doesn't mix as smooth as some of the other protein shakes on MP but thats because of the creatine and oats. You're not going to get this type of product to be like blended ice cream. A scoop in a MP shaker and a third full of water makes a great tasting thick shake. Only just switched to it so not sure about the gains yet but the other reviews are favourable so I'll see. Brilliant stuff.

Wow.....What a taste, Choc mint is really bad. It feels like you've swallowed mouth wash with a hint of paint stripper. Half of the battle with these things is finding a taste that you enjoy to keep you going back to it when you need it. I now just feel I have to get another product as the next 3-4 weeks drinking this alone would be painful. Definitely a flavour to stay away from. (regular choc mint drinker by the way) I will add another review on effectiveness when I've given it a chance but after 4 shakes I definitely know it tastes minging and thought others should know

Been taking this for three weeks now. Unfortunately i started taking it as my rowing training up in intensity just before a race. My recovery was vastly improved (managed to train 8 times a week with not much aching - 4 cardio/4 weights). I lost about 2kgs but all my lifts in the gym have increased and my friends noticed that i was looking a lot bigger and defined (creatine??). If I can lose weight and get stronger whilst doing heavy cardio, imagine what this will do if you just focussed on weights!! Strawberry tastes really sweet and horrible, but just mix it with a bit of squash and it tastes quite nice!

Cant knock this product, im taking 2 scoops of smooth choc with 2 scoops of instand oats and have seen pretty impressive gains over the last 3 months since i started. Only down side is that the hurricane is slightly lumpy (possibly the creatine) but it doesnt break up even in a shaker, ends up looking like soggy rice crispy's. This isnt in all shakes, probably only about 3 or 4 per 2.5kg sack, so dont let it put you off

just orderd 2nd lot of xs got on really well with first lot , i lost 1 1/2 inches round waist but gained 1 inch on chest plus 5-10kg increase in lifting power in a space 4 weeks. i am also amazed at the definition its given me , top product at a good price. p.s. i dont what all the winging about the taste is over its actually not bad compared to some other stuff ive used

Having used this product for a month now i can say that although my work outs have not been up to scratch i have felt the difference and feel a touch stronger during the exercises. I went for the smooth chocolate and thought that the taste was fairly reasonable when mixed with semi-skimmed milk. i would say 4 out of 5 is a fair judgement!

Best product I have used so far. I had first the chocolate and mint flavor which was for me not a nice taste at all. But now I have vanilla and that tastes absolutely delicious. Great results and gives you fantastic energy. I would recommend to take 1 70g spoon when you wake up and 1 70g spoon when you go to sleep. This supports recovery superb. Take a whey protein for after training is really good.

i have the choc mint and has to be said is by far the best tasting out of all others i have tried. although the flavour is a little too sweet and also a bit bitter, its still bearable if you have something alongside it instead of just the shake on its own. 9/10

Used the regular hurricane about a year ago but this stuff is much better! Choc Mint is really good and not very sickly would like to know what other flavours are not sickly so I can have some variety. Works very well if you want lean gains. Can't believe that I'm making gains but without putting on much fat! Would recommend this to anyone using Cyclone, I used Cyclone it made me sick and cost me 3 times the amount of Hurricane :-) Bloody good product!

An excellent all-in-one, it delivers on the promises made by MP, and for a fraction of what you'd pay for Cyclone. I got the chocolate smooth flavour, and to me it tastes like Nestle chocolate, only a little sweeter. So not bad at all. I have it with water generally but with skimmed milk it's more palatable. If you have a shaker that uses the plastic grid in the top to mix it, then you do get some caught around that grid so it can be gritty, but just adding more water/milk solves this I find. tl;dr version: I recommend Hurricane XS

Had already bought the vanilla version but decided to get something else for change. I went for raspberry flavour and it is absolutely faaantastic! I couldn't believe it but it actually tastes like a raspberry milkshake that you would buy from a shop. Personally, I wouldn't go for the vanilla version again but if you are going to try it (I would recommend to do so) then definitely get the raspberry flavour. I used Maximuscle Cyclone for a while and I am seeing similar results with the Hurricane XS. Plus, it tastes about 1,000,000 times better than the Cyclone. Thank you myprotein!

Ordered the Strawberry cream flavour after a friend brought me a choc mint pouch a few weeks back and it smells and tastes great!!! Works out about 75p a serving alot cheaper then mm with pretty much the same ingredients and in my opinion tastes alot better aswell!!! Hurricane xs is a fantastic product!! I am a guy that struggles to gain weight and size but with hurricane xs i achieve both, Fast!. I usually order chocolate smooth which is very good but i fancied a change on my last order and got one bag of chocolate nut and one bag of chocolate mint. Both flavours taste great! the chocolate mint tastes like an after eight mint and the chocolate nut tastes like a ferrero rocher. The only critisism i have about them both is that they are too sweet. Overall, by far the best All in one shake i have ever tried!!!!

Just started on this today and it's my first all in one as i've always mixed products seperately, the mint choc tastes amazing - really amazing but also strong - like after eights. I can't comment on how effective it is yet but it'll be interesting to see how it compares against mixing protein isolate, creatine monohydrate and HMB seperately. First of all, this stuff has been great, I managed to increase my bench by 15kg over 6 weeks and add 6lb to my bodyweight, so obviously excellent stuff, along with incredible pumps and short recovery times (reduced even from CNP's ProRecover!) it also lasts ages! I would highly recommend it. I would, however, strongly cation against the raspberry flavour, my friend and I both found it to be FAR too sweet, now I'm not one to gripe about the flavour but I really disliked it. If it's the only one left in stock and you can grin and bear it, then raspberry is fine, otherwise go for another flavour.5 stars for what matters though, the effectiveness!

Been using it for two months and found it very effective, in fact the most effective protein of all i used. Gave me significant lean muscle mass growth and improved a lot on my strenght, also the dextrose in it supplies my muscle through my training with energy as i take one shake 30 min before my training. The bad point in taste is i found that it has a lot of sugar in choc mint flavours, so going to try other flavour to see if that is any better.

ordered this as I needed something to help me maintain lean mass and weight at the gym. I ordered the choc nut which when mixed using a hand blender mixes fab, if using just a shaker its doesn't disolve overly well. The taste was ok but after a a few weeks on it I had to start forcing myself to take it. I have now started to add strawberry milkshake in with it which has made all the difference to the taste. To me the most important thing with these products is the effect it has on me, I have noticed a diffence in my performance in the gym and an improvement in my upper half. weather this is actual improvement or in my mind it doesn't matter as I feel better for it and that is what I buy the product for. will be ordering more but will try the choc mint next!

Mint Choc flavour is brilliant!!! i always stuck with the usual fruit flavoured powder, nomally bananna, but fancied a change and went with the mint choc option. Never going abck to bananna. Tastes like after 8 mints and with the added oats it tastes like mint penguin bars. Gained 2.5 kg in first month and that was with a week break to go on holiday. Use a hand blender for a seriously nice shake!!!!!

Firstly the negative. I find little clumps of white powder with in the powder, which i'm assuming are lumps of Creapure. The fact that these clumps are there suggests i am not getting an even serving per shake. I have to either crush the lumps with the scoop before adding it to my shaker or stir the shake with a fork after shaking, because the lumps fit through the plastic cause in my shaker and arent broken down. However the taste is better than most. The price is excellent and i'm hoping to see some gains, however have only been using for a week.

Ive had this product a few times but had always stuck with the strawberry flavour however this time i went for the raspberry and i was very impressed. The raspberry flavour is much more mellow than the strawberry and you feel you could easily drink a gallon of it - top knotch.

Though the taste is not as good as True Whey, I found the effects amazing, not neccessarily in muscle size, but I have increased my maximum bench from 71kg to 84kg after my first pouch, something I found incredibly difficult before I used Hurricane XS. Thanks MP.

Hi Well this is my first review of any MP product, been taking Hurricane XS now since the start of the year, I have to say I quite enjoy the taste of the Choc Smooth and the Choc Mint, maybe the fact I’m a Chocoholic helps, anyway over the months I’ve noticed different changes to my body shape-weight and strength depending on the times I take the drink, for instance if I take Pre and Post workout first thing in the morning I tend to stay leaner with less strength and bulk, where as if I train late evening taking again pre and post workout I have more strength and put on more bulk, guess the moral of the story is chop and change to get the best results that suit your needs! Might try the Total or True Whey Protein as an extra in-between meal, any views on that? Great Product thanks! Darren Brennan

Been using this for 3 weeks now and gains have been very good. Using 2 scoops 2 times a day- one with my breakfast and one after my workout. You gotta remember to keep hydrated cos the creatine. I like the chocolate smooth normally with water but after drinking 2 a day for 3 weeks you get sick of it, so i do it with milk sometime and now and then put some peanut butter. Buying the same product with a competitior costs £50 more!!! Just bout to order my second batch! i thought u was meant to phase creatine tho??? anyway cheers MP

I purchased this product after doing a course of chocolate smooth MRP and was a bit disappointed with the taste. As another post mentions its the sweetness that gets you- i opted to go for the chocolate nut flavour and ive tried everything i can to mask the taste. Its completely different from that of the MRP choc smooth, and i mix mine with water- the taste is totally off putting but the results are good! I feel like i need a filling after one shake!

Great supplement I only realised how good when I stopped taking it and tried the MP Impact Whey Protein and separate creatine caps instead, i lost almost 10kgs in 8 weeks and had significant losses in my strength. I was never realy convinced by the all in one supplements but this is awesome stuff. Back on it now and the weight and strength have increased.

I was an avid Mentor SCI Twister fan, it mixed very well, tasted great, and the price.. well, that stuff was horridly expensive. I started taking this stuff by accident and felt it would not hurt trying something new. The results have me blown away, the pecs are looking full, arms looking mean and the legs are lean! in a very short time. I'm shocked. great great product. it mixes awfully but I'm guessing thats the fine oats part. the taste (vanilla) is well tastes nothing like vanilla ( so just hold your nose and drink it back fast), All and all, at the price it is..! I'm shocked! great great product.

Hi all, XS mixes very well and has a smooth texture with no lumps etc and that is great - but the Raspberry flavour is vile. I understand these shakes are never going to be a delight for the palete but I really shouldnt have been so adventurous as to buy this flavour - I will try and mask the taste with something else, banana is working ok so far. Other than that - Happy Days.

Only just switched to using this from Impact Whey Protein but I can already say that the taste is lovely (choc nut)! A bit gritty which took me by surprise, but at least you know that you're getting what you payed for with the oats and creatine, and it isn't really an issue anyway when I just neck it after a workout! Haven't seen any results yet as only just started using it but have high hopes!

Vanilla - great tasting, agree with earlier poster that just as good as, if not better than, Maximuscle Cyclone at a great price. Felt refreshing to drink after a gruelling workout and felt energy levels being replenished almost immediately. Only negative comment is that it does not come in a 5kg pouch. I will probably get through this stuff very quickly.

I found that having this at it's suggested intervals and having the Soy Protein just before my workout really helped me increase the weight I'm pushing and I find that my recovery between muscle group workouts are much better. I've already put on 1/2 stone from one packet. I'm 6 ft 6 and have always had a high metabolism plus being an ex althete mean't that I've always been defined. Amazing product from a performance and gaining point of view, and this is my fourth batch. I just think it tastes horrific. And it hasn't been mixed properly as there a pea size white lumps in the bag, and they don't mix well at all in the shaker, every single shake i have is lumpy and bitty. And its not the shaker as it one from MP anyway. But like i said i keep coming back because the results are wonderful. I just thought it was about time I wrote a review.

I was incredibly tempted by this product as it ticked all the boxes when it came to its large protein and energy content and also could be used as a food supplement to kick those tempting snack-craveings into touch. I brought this about 3 weeks ago now, with Strawberry flavouring and its not actually too bad. I use it half way through the day with my lunch: Replacing my usual side order drink and it does tend to fill you up though, without any form of bloated feeling afterwards. The main downside though is that its quite a sharp, kinda sickly after taste. Then again, this might not apply to the rest of the flavourings as Ive only tried strawberry. All in all, it mixes easily, crushes any craveings and could also be used as a post workout supplement (though I still prefer Impact Whey!) Definatly use this product with milk though as water makes it too runny and tasteless. I found that, for best results, I use it with only 200ml of milk (+70g of the powder ofcourse) because, for some reason, it just seems to taste better thicker. Chris x

Been taking this for a week now, once in the morning and again straight after each workout. Been sticking to 1 shake on rest days. I have opted for choco smooth which tastes pretty poor in comparison to the choc impact whey ive been using for a while now. However with the added HMB and creatine i wouldnt expect it to taste great, i just chug it down, no pain no gain and all that! Its convienient and cheaper than buying protien/creatine/hmb seperately, and im looking forward to seeing the gains.

Just recieved 2.5kg of chocolate smooth, i was using the impact whey protein and loved it, the strawberry was nicer than the choc and mint but who cares right? just tried the hurricane xs and have to say its not as nice as the impact but again who cares if it gets the job done. I gave it a little mix up with my scoop and there was a massive lump in there but guess what...... it was another scoop that they threw in there for free :) Cant fault the price or service these guys give you its second to none Will add more next month

Having been a fan of MRP choc mint, which is a delicious After Eight sort of taste. I was looking forward to enjoying the same when my delivery of HXS Choc Mint however I think the guys who develop the flavourings have got this wrong. It's more like Kendal Mint cake than Choc Mint. Nice but lacking in Choccy taste. However adding ice cold water to it after a workout makes a rather nice refreshing drink.

Really saw good results using Hurricane XS. It doesn't mix like whey due to the creatine and the fine oats so for those who haven't used creatine before they may find this a bit gritty, I always used a hand blender, but its a great product. You feel replenished after it - not bloated. The Strawberry was fine, yes a bit sweet but definately better than some products I've tasted. Bought it when it was on promotion and will def. by again. Very good MP.

A fantastic product, am really enjoying using it both as a quick MRP, and also as a post workout offering. I must caution against the flavouring. I went for the strawberry flavour, and I was dissapointed. The sweetness is the first thing that gets you, and then the after taste of the strawberry...needs work, but I neck the think anyway. Using the reccommended 2 scoops is a hefty serving for a relative beginner like me, and bear in mind your getting 10g of creatine if your taking the full dose - rehydrate! I am as a result though seeing gains, and am putting on good weight which has always been difficult - 6 ft 7 guy... Overall, will use again and stick to choc flavour, what I know best!

bought hurricane xs a few times never had a problem would usually give it 4 stars, had to stop training for a couple of months due to injury and just started training and taking it again but found when mixing there are brown/black dots in the shake, thought it was normal and just hadnt noticed the black bits before (vanilla pods are black so thought that might be something to do with it) but started feeling more bloated than usual and started developing a sore stomach after drinking, anyone else had these problems?

I bought the product based on reviews comparing it with maximuscle cyclone, i have used lots of supplements over the past few years on and off. For repair this is good product! I found repair times were complete within 2days max although giving substantial rest periods is obviously important! I didnt notice the creatine as such but i have used creatine in its purest form so maybe expected more? I recommended to a friend who had never touched creatine and he said he noticed it! Overall i recommend this product for building mass and strength, i will continue to use this in the winter months when im bulking but for the summer im going to use pure protein, amino's and creatine in its single state to try lose fat yet not lean mass. Recommend myprotein.co.uk for all products they seem very competetive and supply all the supplemements and info i need. Cheers

Right I've just finished my first bag of this and am 100% ordering it again! I combine 2 of these shakes (one as breakfast or mid morning snack and the second straight after my workout) with a whey only shake. This would be my suggested use, as the ingredients are best for either meal replacement or post workout. Furthermore this shake tastes amazing! i recommend choc. smooth with skimmed milk. I haven't attempted using water purely because i dont want it to put me off as i can imagine the contents of this formula are better mixed with milk. I've read a lot of complaints about the taste but i couldn't disagree more. And gains wise its brilliant too, I have increased size, strength and are definitely denser too. Bravo MP, this shake is SECOND TO NONE.

I've used the stuff on and off for the last couple of years, and it's fantastic stuff.\n\nI'm 16 stone 2lb and want to get up to 17, and considering I'm 4 weeks into a bulking schedual and started at 15 stone 7lb, I'm happy.\n\nThis along with MP Weight Gainer, 4 times a week lifting and 3 times a week swimming, and you'll explode in size and strength.\n\nFor those complaining of the taste, really, c'mon, it's to do a job and it does it well. I have noticed significant results already. I have gained 2kg in lean mass in just over three weeks. I've been using this product now for 3 weeks after changing from Impact Blend. It works out cheaper than buying creapure separately. The taste is good considering all the different ingredients. Results wise I've noticed an increased post workout pump, good energy levels and no fat increases. I do muay thai and had a fight recently and I took this around the training. I'm not a usual reviewer but this product really deserved one. I bought 7.5 kg when it was on offer. First off the taste (choc smooth) is amazing, especially considering that some of the ingredients are fairly unpalatable. Its definately more convenient than buyng all the ingredients seperately and seems to have pretty much everything you want in there. As for the gains in the last few months (I have been eatin more aswell) i have gained a stone. Whilst this isn't entirely lean the increase in fat isnt noticeable and people have noticed my increase in size. Definately worth trying.

I'd describe myself as a 'hard gainer' and this is working wonders for me. Started training 6 months ago, weighed 138lbs, now i weight 157lbs and still dont have an ounce of fat on me so I would say thats a pretty good gain for 6 months. Obviosuly my whole diet has changed it's not just down to this shake, but compared to others i've used, its brilliant. Mixes well and tastes good too, slightly more powdery then others on the site, but thats because it has more in it i presume. Anyway - great product, great price. This is the best protein supplement I've ever used in 9 years training. I've gained 5lbs in only 2weeks and strength is up almost 10kg all round.\nI haven't tried Maximuscle's overpriced products but everyone I know who has says the taste is terrible. I don't doubt the results they give though.\nMP's whey protein vanilla is nice but can get sickly if there's no variation in taste. HXS choc smooth is almost the same for me. Its also very sweet. Still, its only 2 day. I find it tastes best with half milk half water.\n\nI'll definately be sticking to this for a while. Good job MP!

As the title says, the choc smooth is quite good and easy to drink. The vanilla is horrible tasting, which is a surprise as I am a huge fan of the vanilla Impact Whey Protein. I am mixing 1 scoop of each and it tastes pretty good. As for results, it's a bit early yet but strength is increasing after 2 weeks of use and putting on some weight. The Whey Protein gave good results so I am hoping the XS gives a bit of an extra boost for my current bulk.

this is the only time ive ever bought a supplement and had anything happen to me! and ive spent alot on different brands. Im a rower, and the cardio element of that means i needed to up my calorie intake. i went for HXS so that i could get enough calories in me, and it certainly seems to be working. i sat at 87kg's at my absolute heaviest for a long time (2years), sometimes dropping down to 83 ish. since taking this with my training im sitting comfortably at 91kg's. body fat has gone up a bit, i can tell by looking down at my stomach :) but your gunna expect that with gaining size so im happy enough, i plan to cut that fat in time to race over the winter.

I have been using this for one week now so unable to comment on whether I'm gaining lean mass but I do feel like I've put on some weight around my stomach. I did read in someone else's review that this product can increase fat so going to up my cardio for the next few weeks.\nAs for the taste, really struggled with this for the first few days trying to find the milk/powder ratio that worked for me (water was ruled out after the first attempt). Eventually I have settled on adding 2 scoops to 100ml of skimmed milk, which makes a very thick chocolate shake (I use an electric whisk to mix). I then pour another 100ml of milk into the jug to make sure I get all the shake that's stuck to the sides.\nWill let you know the results once I've finished the bag :)

Just finnished my First bag of hurricane which has lasted 3 weeks inwhich i have taken two servings a day including rest days. I have had some pretty good results in a short time with this product inwhich i have added some good lean mass. What i like about it most is that with my job i have very early starts and am normally out the door by 05:30 and dont normally like eating at this time so i have been using hurricane as a meal replacement first thing and then i dont eat till 12 - 1 ish then i have my second shake post workout at around 6ish followed by tea around 19:30 ish. Considering my eating times is not perfect (however putting food on the table is more inportant) i am very impressed with my results. Just recieved my second bag and deffo advise to use if your working pattern limits your diet.

I have been training for almost 6 months as i felt i was way to skinny and wanted to bulk up, for 5 months i stuck to the same programe and started to pack in more calories.....\n\nafter 5 months i couldnt see any difference in myself and others couldnt see it either, i was using CNP Promass during this time so wondered if changing product could help and Hurricane XS did! \n\niv seen a massive increase in lean mass over the past 4 weeks and generally feel stronger. Just recieved my hurricane in superquick time (next day after ordering) Got the smooth chock and am very impressed with the taste which is very smooth and mixes easily with a fork. Also filled up my old cyclone tub to the brim and still have a load left in the bag so hopefully will last longer and save me some cash.Will post an update in a month to see if i get good results, So far very impressed.

The protein and creatine mix in this has everything you want to build mass and pickup weight. However if its lean mass you are after this is not the product for you, with almost 10g of dextrose lean mass is unlucky unless you have a VERY high metabolism. I have had good results with it but I do a lot of cardio as per of my plan.

Forgot to add, smooth chocolate is the best. takes nothing to mix it up and tastes really nice with just water. TIP: if your still not overly keen on the taste. add the 70g to 150ml of water and use a straw. It tastes just like choc milkshake and so easy to drink :)

I've been using vanilla Hurricane XS for over 12 months as a post-workout supplement four times a week. I've made good lean gains and increased my strength on squats, bench and rows. As for the taste? Well I 'mix' mine with BCAA(!) and extra creatine and add a scoop of Nesquik. Tastes ok to me and I can change flavours easily.

Just received my Hurricane XS (Strawberry) this morning from myprotein.co.uk. It came in a large plastic resealable bag, complete with large scoop. \n\nAt first I was a little weary about using it with it being a mixture of so many different things and mixing it with water is never a nice thing to do with a protein shake. However, I was pleasently surprised I have to admit. It tastes fantastic, just like strawberry nesquik and the consistency is great. After just 10 seconds of shaking in my shaker bottle, it was mixed very smoothly.\n\nAs to performance, I was suffering with DOMS this morning and about 15 minutes after taking Hurricane XS the soreness was gone. It is seriously effective!\n\nI am excited to see my gains on this formula. I will review it again in 6 months and let you know how I get on.\n\nGreat product, great taste (strawberry) and mixes fine with water let alone milk!

it depends really on how hard you train along with other factors like what esle you eat or other shakes you add to your diet. me personally i train for lean mass but also add some cardio i would take hxs every day, maybe twice a day on training days and once a day on non training days along with a good whey protien. but remember that the building of the tissue is in the recover so streaming your body with protien on rest days is just as important as training days. i rate this product highly of quality, value and effectivness recomend to anyone looking for added strength, power and size.

I recieved this shake a few days ago, and thought I should share my first impressions. It tastes great, but i find that I have to dilute it a lot more than suggested otherwise it can be quite rich and sickly especially at 7am. After 3 days on it i'll say i'm used to the taste, its nice and i've found the perfect milk/water to powder ratio. As for gains, well i'm obviously not going to notice a difference in the first few days, i'll post back in a months time and compare it to previous shakes and see how its got on, but so far the conclusion being, tastes goooood.

I am now on my 2nd 2.5k bag of this, tried the Choc Smooth first, couldn't believe how good it tasted compated to other brands I'd tried however it started to be a bit sickly when drinking it at 7.30am so I've now got the Vanilla which is sweet but I don't think it'll be quite so hard to drink in the morning!\nI have one shake instead of my breakfast and one post workout and I feel its definitely benefitting me, really happy with it so I'll keep on with it.\nTo the below review.....you've had it a WEEK, its not a miracle supplement, things take time! Also, the sickness I think is more something to do with you rather than the product as going by the many reviews, you're one of the very few who gets these symptoms so I don't feel its right for you to tell people not to touch it just cause it doesn't work for you :)\nAnyways, enough from me, a happy Hurricane XS user, read the reviews and make your own mind up about this, I did and I'm glad I'm taking it!

I have used Cyclone in the past and got good results from it, but recently a friend recommended Hurricane to me as a cheaper alternative. I bought 2 x 2.5 kilo bags of Hurricane and was a bit worried when I read some of the reviews stating that it tasted rank! (I cant handle bad tasting supplements and usually have to sell them on!)\nIm pleased to say that my chocolate smooth Hurricane arrived today and tastes great (one of the best tasting supplements I have tried). Tastes just like a chocolate milkshake. Sure it has a slightly gritty texture but this has to be expected from a creatine containing shake, even cyclone has a gritty texture. I cant say if the gains are as good as Cyclone but Hurricane certainly tastes better! I will add to this post at a later date regarding gains made!

Can't remember if I wrote something in the past about this but an update anyhow. I started using this stuff about a year ago when recommended by a friend. I was looking to add some mass after deciding to end Ironman training after a few years. 6'2" and 78kg's meant I was now far to light and I wanted a new direction with my training. I had always done some sort of weight training but nothing major, just hours and hours of swim, bike & run.\nAnyhow I started of with one scoop Hurricane and one scoop whey and with more weight training and light cardio reached about 86kg's by summer last year with 10% BF. By the end of the year I was up to 88 kg's but had reached a plateau.\nWhen the new year started I decided to really hit the weights hard and make Hurricane xs the foundation of my nutrition plan. Two shakes a day made with 400ml of skimmed milk, one in the morning for breakfast and the other immediately after training. Rest days I take the same dose. I buy the Choc Smooth and I think it tastes great. Mixed in the MP shaker with the little metal whisk it comes up delicious. No lumps and just the right consistancy.\nAt the moment I am sitting at 92.5kg and about 12% BF and on my way to my goal of 95kg and 9% BF for July. I find muscle soreness is at a minimum.\nAll in all Hurricane really has helped me gain lean tissue and I would recommend it to anyone.\n\nI hope this bit of info helps others when trying to decide if the products are good or not because I rely heavily on the reviews and research of others when looking for new training aids and ideas.

Ive been using this for a few months now and its fantastic. Ive gone for the 'chocolate smooth' everytime and would definately recommend it! Dosage: im on two shakes a day, once post training then a second 6 hours later. I am supplementing this with 'unflavoured impact whey protein' aswell so my protein intake is a little higher. I recently purchased 5kg of this in the strawberry flavour and I'm just coming to the end of it and about to order some more. I came across this product after doing a Google search for a cheaper alternative to Maximuslce Cyclone. OK Hurricane XS is not an exact match as a few other ingredients are missing but the key to this is the Creatine and HMB which are present and do the job perfectly!\n\nI have definitely filled out more in my chest, shoulders and arms, hence why I am about to order another 5kg of the stuff. I may opt for the Vanilla next as I find the Strawberry a little harsh if I add a banana in to the mix.\n\nThe slight downside to Creatine is the increase in water retention, but as muscle is made up of about 70% water you just have to go with it!

Can't believe how much cheaper it is than that rip off Cyclone! and it's got slow digesting carbs in there too, so better than Cyclone IMO. \nI have noticed MP don't say what the best amount of water to use is though. What do you think? I've got chocolate smooth, first time I tried it I mixed with a pint and I thought I was gonna be sick by the time I finished! I now use 300ml and it tastes fine, can also drink it quickly. Anyone found a better mix? Also is strawberry really that bad? I'm getting bored of Choc & considered the strawberry but I don't want to have to throw it away!

The gains are un-deniable, been on this for 2 months and i've packed on plenty of lean mass, stayed at around 10%~ bodyfat with only a couple of interval sessions a week and got a lot stronger. I know everybody has different tastes, but for me the choc smooth is the only way to go. The chocolate stuff tastes good, and i look forward to drinking it, but the stawberry and vanilla taste tacky and overly sweet, which everybody i have let try some of has agreed. The unflavoured is pretty rank too.

Tried this on the back of a recomendation from a friend after I had been using a 'normal' protein shake & have been genuinely impressed with the results since using this product. Started gaining lean mass at such a rate that I've been asked several times if was taking anything else! I've also found this mixes really well in a normal shaker with milk or water. It's only downside is the taste, vanilla flavour is quite frankly vile enough to turn my stomach & was almost enough to stop me taking it! No idea on the other flavours but as Im about to re-order & the un-flavoured isn't available, looks like Im going to have to brave the strawberry or chocolate which will hopefully taste better!

Ive never found an MP product which hasnt mixed well, just dont bung it in a mixer for 15 seconds and expect it to be smooth, SHAKE IT LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT.

I ordered 2.5kg base on the reviews I read here (previously I'd been using Impact with reasonable results). Only been using it for 2 days so can't comment on any gains but the taste is terrible (I have the vanilla flavour) - stale horse urine doesn't even begin to describe it!!!!\n\nWhat I don't get is that most people seem to think this stuff tastes great. I purchased this after I finished my first tub of cyclone which I took mostly as an experiment to see how it would affect my training I was happy with the results from Cyclone but obviously not so happy with the price. A friend told me to check out myprotein and I did and found this, which I assume due to the name and main ingredients is the myprotein equivalent to Cyclone. At first I was concerned about the low price, but after reading through the site I decided to give it a shot and ordered 2kg of the chocolate smoothie flavour.\n\nI have to say, it’s one of the best purchases I have made to do with my training. Not only does Hurricane XS taste far far better than Cyclone (it just tastes like chocolate milkshake, who wouldn’t want 2 a day?! I had it with water) but the gains have been fantastic. I was worried that I’d lose some of the small gains I had made on Cyclone, but instead I noticed more. I wanted to go on creatine because it gives that tight pumped look to your muscles (especially your biceps) and after switching to Hurricane I swear I have that even more. This product is perfect, and the only reason I’m not ordering more is because I am having a break (as you’re supposed to with creatine products) and have just received my Standard Whey Isolate in the post, I’ll get back on this after I have got through that.\n\nMyprotein is a godsend of a site, I tell everyone I know about it because it’s about time the big companies stopped ripping people off so much. Getting in shape shouldn’t have to be so expensive. \n

I ordered mine unflavoured, i dont mix it with anything, just water, its drinkable, tastes a bit sandy and plain, but i drink it without a problem.\n\nAs for gains, ive put a few pounds on in about 2-3 weeks when i take 70g post and hit the gym 3 times a week.

I'd say this (but I would join MP Forum for this type of questioning lol) unless your getting ready for a comp/photo shoot 5% bf is pretty unhealthy to stick to perm as you will have no energy AT ALL and risk over training. 8-10% is ideal for (vain) ab showing (lol). You will need carbs to fuel intense workout, whish most should be for max growth, (bigger abs/pecks etc) so yes eat plenty of low GI like oats etc. Change workout every 3-4 weeks, swap days keep body guessing + MOST IMPORTANT take a break every 6-8 weeks just to rest and create a growth spurt.

Been adding lean mass all year with a eye on my carbs, but now winter is here i decided to add a wee bit of bulk. Already got HMB, L-GLUT & CREA in a home made recovery mix (tastes like a mouth full of asprins lol) \nBought this and I am very happy with results, abs are clear, body fat only gone up 2% , strength and more visable definition are showing.\nAdd to porridge w/fruit in morning for a kick - me - up lol\ngreat stuff

Thanks for the reply regarding creatine-EE vs monohydrate. \nI am currently using True whey and Creatine-EE, combined with thermapure tabs to help burn the fat. Doing weights 4 times a week (different muscle groups), and cardio 2 times a week. As I am trying to cut mainly and get down to 5%~ body fat while putting on decent muscle for the underwear-model sort of look, is this product a good choice for me? I was at first sceptical about creatine as I didn’t want too much bulk, but I’m pleased with how the ethyl ester is working at the moment with the no bloating and the strength/power gains are hard to pass up. But the bloating from this product concerns me. I don’t have any PWO carbs, just a lot of protein. Should I go for this or stick to my current mix?\n

Again I'll draw comparison to Maximuscle Cyclone. I tried Hurricane XS after a buddy of mine informed me about the website. This stuff is really good quality, I'm lifting more than I ever have, recovery is quicker and HXS is substantially cheaper than cyclone, even including P&P to Ireland. So it's a no brainer really. On the taste side of things, cyclone never really bothered me but it did have one hell of an after-taste. HXS is made from oats and you can tell, it tastes like real food and is great in the morning to fill a hole. \nCan't really say much more, except I've re-orderd today for the 3rd time, and will do so again in future.

I was a little hesitant in purchasing this product as my last dabbling with creatine didn't go so well: A foul-tasting "Tropical fruit" flavour powder with an equally disturbing colour that did little for me (although I didn't get past the loading phase, in fairness) but since I was so impressed with the results from the MP Whey product, I decided to bite the bullet......\n\nAnd I’m damn glad I did.\n\nShortly after the 1st week, I noticed a pronounced increase in my strength and began to increase the weight I was lifting. I also have a noticeably more muscular upper body and can see the difference in my back, traps, arms and chest (my legs have always been pretty good). The beauty in Hurricane XS is that there is no loading period as with other Creatine-based formulas (or just the powder supplement itself) so if you’re already taking shakes pre/post Work-out it’s an easy addition into your routine. Thankfully, and this may differ per user, I experienced none of the bloating that some people complain of when using creatine products. The shake mixes easily with either milk or water and after being thoroughly pleased with the vanilla, I’m no trying the Choc smooth…..which leads me to the next point for discussion:\n\nThe Taste…..\nI completely agree with some of the other reviewers on this page: Don’t submit a review whinging solely about how *awful* the formula tastes because:\n\nA) It doesn’t. Not in the least.\n\nB) You should remind yourself you are taking a specifically, scientifically designed supplement to enhance your performance.\n\n Myprotein.com isn’t served with happy meals © nor are they in partnership with Ben & Jerrys. This formula isn’t designed with Jamie Oliver in mind. So grow a pair and get it down ya!\n\nThat having said I concede the point no one wants to drink p*ss in an effort to increase size or strength. I can honestly say I was thoroughly satisfied with the taste of the vanilla flavour HXS. The use of the blended oats in the formula gave it a very enjoyable vanilla cookie-dough after-taste. It’s a little sweet, but that’s thanks to the dextrose. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this formula enough. I’m still a relative newbie and trying to pull together an effective diet with the right work out but I’m on my way and helped no end by yet another quality product from this site!\n I’m on my 2nd order (another 5k) and it’s no become even more cost-effective to buy in 2500g refill bags. I started on cyclone but quickly discovered this for a 1/3 of the price! Just coming to the end of my first tub and seeing the results already.\n\nPersonally I find the taste of cyclone better, but hurricane is ok (I got both in vanilla). As others have mentioned too, you get grit at the bottom of this, which you don't get with cyclone.\n\nBottom line though, price! This works and it's cheap. recommended.

Can't fault this powder. Got the vanilla flavour and rate the taste as 9 out of 10. I,ve tried maximuscle cyclone (the product everyone seems to compare this with!) and i can say with hand on heart that this stuff urinates on cyclone from a great hieght! If you just compare the price alone its an absolute bargain but hey if you want to go and spend 40 odd quid on a 1.2kg tub of cyclone compared to what?12 quid a kg with flavoring for pretty much the same thing then my guess is you read to much mens health mag.

Just bought 5kg and on to my 5th week. Gains are quite noticeable. First 2kg I had the smooth Choc flavour which was ok. Went for the un flavoured this time and I add 2 teaspoons of drinking chocolate powder. Mixes and tastes better. I havn't tried Cyclone but this product is cheaper and I'm seeing the gains from when I used whey protein alone. Highly recommend!

Just coming to the end of my first 2kg. I can say that recovery time/ Pump ability is the same as Cyclone. I cannot tell the difference. \n\nThe bonus for this product is that it tastes a hell of alot better, mixes better and is cheaper. I would recommend 3kg rather than 2kg as 2kg only just lasts a month.\n\nOh, and the tub is great for DIY when empty (only when replacing with larger tub that is)

I read a lot of reveiws about this product and the off putting taste so wasnt sure whether to buy it. i opted for the plain unflavoured. It arrived today - smells a bit odd but thats it. It tastes ok however i did mix it with some strawberry yoghurt and a bit of honey (i do that with all the shakes i make to add consistency and thickness). Tastes fine to me.

Just got some of this and was worried about the taste, tried a few other suppliers and ended up binning the tub.\n\nAnyway, got the choc smooth, mixed with milk and went down fine, taste was just like a shop bought chocolate milkshake. Texture wise there's the grit of the creatine to contend with, but it's certainly nothing major.\n\nWill be looking forward to some gains and an updated review soon.

The stuff works pretty good, definitely noticed the difference pretty quickly.\n I do wish people would post less about what it tastes like and focus on whether they rate HXS or not. Who really cares what it tastes like - I'm not buying it for the taste, if i want a nice milkshake I reckon i can get something a bit cheaper and quicker! I got the flavourless one and yes it's not the greatest taste but I just mix it with chocolate flavoured soya milk and it's fine.\n Would definitely recommend HXS to anyone who likes Maximuscle Cyclone but isn't made of money - the stuff is just as good if not better

I found this formula to not only do what it said it would but also to be very easily mixed and to have a great taste! I have tried other suppliment formulas in the past but none have delivered such good results as Hurricane XS. When you look at this along with the fact that it is a third of the price you would expect to pay and that it tastes amazing, you cant really go wrong!\nI'd recommend strawberry.

Recently i decided that i spend to much time faffing around mixing different ingredients, so i thought this formula would be a good idea to save time.\n\nI bought it unflavoured. It is good texture, mixes well, and gave no nasty after effects (no belching, not GI upset). My only criticism would be that i felt my teeth geting sensetive after a few servings, which i guess is the cheap malto erroding my teeth. If the malto was replaced with WMS, it would be a 5-star formula.

Just like a milkshake, really tasty. Would highly recommend. First time user of 'myprotein', very happy with service, quality and quick delivery too. One thing though, I didn't realise that a scoop would not be included in the Tub otherwise would have ordered it here. Tried a few places to get one of these but to no avail. The closest I got was some Tablespoons from Asda. Anybody know approx how many Tablespoons there are in 70Grams?? I know they are not the same, Volume against Weight but approximate value would be really help at this moment.

I have taken 50g of Hurricane XS with 30g of Malto mixed in, with milk. One shake in the morning, and another in the afternoon, usually post workout.\nResults have been staggering, I have managed to bulk up by 6kg over the course of 8 days of taking this (along with usual nutrition and workout) My body fat is still the same, so I guess lean muscle has increased.\nMP guaranteed results would be seen within 10 days, and they weren't kidding...love it!!!

Couldn't drink strawberry without holding my nose but then bought some Chocolate after reading reviews on here. Tastes great and I actually look forward to my shake. Results fantastic. In terms of a supp its is really good, all the ingredients needed to grow tissue.
