Overview

MP MAX® Hurricane Evo is a premium all-in-one sports supplement designed to promote gains in strength and size whilst supporting maximum exercise recovery. Packed with a unique combination of proteins, carbohydrates, Creatine, amino acids and HMB this formula provides the vital nutrients your body demands during intense periods of training.

The protein blend will ensure a slow release of amino acids to encourage growth and is provided in a visible ratio to ensure you know exactly what you're getting; 40% Milk Protein Concentrate, 30% Whey Concentrate and 30% Egg Albumen. The carbohydrate content, sourced solely from ultra fine oats, helps to provide a prolonged stream of energy for increased endurance. In order to further your exercise intensity we have also added Creatine, one of the most popular and successful tissue building ingredients on the market.

To augment the recovery process of your muscles, we have included a substantial serving of peptide bonded amino acids and HMB. Peptide bonded amino acids are rapidly assimilated and have been shown to enhance recovery and growth by drawing water into the muscle thus promoting glycogen synthesis. Your growth will also be supported by the presence of the anti-catabolic HMB. HMB has been proven to aid lean growth by preventing protein breakdown and repairing tissue after exercise.

Finally, to push Hurricane Evo beyond any other all-in-one supplement, we have incorporated the amazing health benefits of Lactospore® and Digezyme®. Lactospore®, a pro-biotic enhancer, has been shown to develop the function of gastrointestinal organs, whilst Digezyme® can improve the digestive system and promote the absorption of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.

Key Benefits

  • Promotes gains in strength and muscle size
  • Contains Protein, Creatine, amino acids and HMB
  • Also includes digestive aids Lactospore® and Digezyme®

Suggested Use

Add 3 level scoops (60g) and mix with approx 300-400ml of water or skimmed milk (for a thicker shake use less liquid, for a thinner shake add more). For the best results add liquid first, then powder into one of our shakers or a blender. Once mixed consume immediately. We recommend 2 servings daily. On a training day consume upon waking and directly after your workout. On non-training days, consume upon waking and at the same time you would usually consume on a training day.

I just realised that when you mix it with water it tastes awful but with milk its pretty nice

Tastes great, just need to shake it a little longer than I have previous powders. One thing I wanted to ask though was, I have just bought the large scoop, should I be placing 3 scoops of mix into the shaker? That seems a lot of product going in. Otherwise its great.

I have been using Hurricane XS (chocolate smooth) for 2 years and love the product. Whilst I have no doubt that Hurricane Evo is equally as effective, the taste is absolutely horrible (chocolate mint). It really is vile. I have just ordered Hurricane XS again, and will not be trying the Evo range until the flavour choices improve.

Just finished my first tub, and for the record will be ordering a second. I had the chocolate mint flavour and the taste was alright, not the best I've ever had but I have had considerably worse! I have found it has helped me with my weights, particularly with the recovery compared to before, so can up my workload more effectively. The only negative I have is trying to fit 3 scoops into 400ml of water is not possible as far as I'm concerned; But easily got round that by increasing the amount of water so alls well that ends well.

Iv been taking this roughly for 3 to 4 weeks now rather then just my normal protien & im also using BedTime extreme, I would say Iv noticed a slight difference already, I would say overall a decent all round product, good quality and a nice taste/texture (altho I do find some little bits that dont disolve) 9/10

I quick warning here that I will be reviewing the product and its effectiveness!!! I have used this product on/off for over a year now. I travel and let myself go and then go hard when im in the UK. I have always found hurricane evo to work well with me, I have tryed other myprotein products and other protein shakes, this is the only one which works. Whilst using hurrincane evo I can go up in weight regurlarly, can push harder and don't feel as achy in the morning. For example...after my last trip I started to get back into shape around April this year...within 3 weeks I increased my flys by 5kg and within a month I could easily bench my own bodyweight. I have gained 10kg in weight since April but again can easily bench my own weight. I was concerned at first about the carb content as being pretty slim I like to keep a good stomach but this hasn't been a problem. I have a six pack and am quite defined. I work as a labourer so am constantly lifting and always have 4 meals a day and two shakes, one when I wake and one after my workout. I workout 4-5 times a week. I highly recommend this product but obviously you must put the work in too. To me it tastes great with plain tap water (vanilla). I would still drink it even if it tasted like dogs ass as im more interested in a product working!!!

Mixeability perfectly fine! I use the new shaker with the metal ball inside it. Not a single problem. Ever. Taste Mint Chocolate, seriously as good as it gets, any complaints written about the taste are from people that just need to man up. Effectiveness Been takeing for just 2 weeks, so cannot comment on the visable increases yet, although recovery is excellent! Overall. BOOM 5*****

I was a bit dubious about getting this product after reading the reviews ... but bougfht a tub of choc mint anyway... and have to say do`nt know what all the negative comments are about... I mix with ice cold water and shake then let rest 1min then shake again.. there are wee ( I mean wee) lumps of mint in it but I actually like that... bit like getting choc bar with mint chip in.... I`ve had other protein shake ( cheap brand) which don`t mix half as well .. as for taste I actually don`t like mint chocolate :o ??? But I love this :o) trying to bulk up on size so will try this batch and get the bedtime extreme in me last thing and see what happens. recommended buy..

Disregarding the fact that you shouldn't be buying this for the wonderful taste, I got a tub of the vanilla originally as I was trying to be boring and play it safe on the flavour front. It is sweet, sickly and a bit of a chore to drink. After a while I was trying to rush the drink down in one to get it out of the way. When I moved onto the chocolate mint, I was surprised by how much better it is. They have not gone overkill on trying to make it sweet, and it is pretty subtle. It mixes ok (there will inevitably be a few small clumps) and the texture is acceptable. I usually have a shake after my morning workout with a piece of fruit for breakfast. I have noticed that it cuts my recovery time down, even after a really heavy workout. I would recommend the choc mint version of this product, but just bear in mind that despite those who have reviewed the shake as being 'gorgeous' or 'tasting like a real milkshake', it is not that good.

I have just finished a tub of this now and I'm happy with what I got out of it. I have started training a month ago after a 5 year gap (horror I know), the tub took 2 weeks to finish. The main difference I noticed was I felt better in the mornings after working out the evening before. My gains have been good and I'm sure this product helped with that, although I eat a good diet too.

It does not matter which supplement site product review you read, why it is weight trainer/ keep fit / athletes seem to be turning into milk shake tasting junky critics. Cut the crap about taste! Does the product do the job of adding beef or making us work harder with proven results… simply yes or No! My point is this! If you’re worried about taste of milk shakes you’re too young to be using the product and should be sucking lollies instead? This product works! get better gains, makes you work harder, and yes if i want a milk shake i buy it from TESCO and just add milk!

Ordered this being a bit worried about the mixability and taste, after reading reviews saying it wanted to make people sick? I gave it a good ol' shake no blender/fork etc and it came out absolutely gorgeous. I felt as if I was drinking a mcdonalds milkshake and could of sat there drinking it all day, hopefully works aswell as it tastes. Definately worth a try! Ignore bad reviews completely, its all about measurements!

I would not normally write a review or leave negative comments on a product but I was so disappointed with this. 60g - 3 level scoops, does in no way mix with 400ml of liquid. 1 scoop doesn't mix with that amount and I have an MP shaker for the job. If you are not using a blender every-time then if I were you I would get the separate impact Whey (use 30g and get more protein) and Creatine powder..

Mixes very easily with a standed protein shaker, the kind with a mixing ball or mesh by the lid work just fine, 30 seconds of vigourous shaking and it's as smooth as velvet.. I've only tried the chocolate mint flavour and it is bloody lovely let me tell you.. Far more impresive than anything synthetic tasting I've tried from Argos or a health food store.. Made moderate gains and recovered fast between workouts so could always give 100% during subsiquent workouts.. Would highly recomend, the best all in 1 out there as far as I'm concerned.. Well done MP :)

Mint Choc Chip- Thing i love about this product is you can take it with water and it tastes great!..and if you want to treat yourself milk is even better..and i was surprised at how smooth it was with a name like choc chip you think you might find wee bits in the shake but there was none...However Strawberry doesn't tase nice with water, tastes good with milk mind you, though it does go really frothy when you shake it with milk

I'd had hurricane XS previously and really liked it. Great product, great results, and the smooth choc tasted damn good too. So I thought give the EVO version a try, well I just can't take the stuff. I got the choc mint and it is horrible! Tastes foul and leaves a rank taste in your mouth. Maybe the product is better than XS but until EVO is available in smooth choc i'm going to get some more XS. Anyone want a hardly used tub of evo, else it's going in the bin.

Having tried the Hurricane XS which I really liked, I thought I would try the vanilla flavour in the Evo because of the lower level of carbs. Big mistake as far as I am concerned. The consistency, once mixed with skimmed milk, is gritty and the taste, to be frank, is revolting. I tend to buy vanilla flavoured protein and this has to be the worst one I have ever bought - it just tastes of chemicals. This is a shame, because I have had no problems with previous myprotein stuff - so guess it really is just a one-off. Shan't be buying again, but will try other similar MP products.

I have been using cyclone for the last few months and noticed some real gains in my strength and size. We all know how expensive cyclone is so I had to look for an alternative all in one product so looked at hurricaine. I read many reviews with most of the saying the taste was awful so I thought I would take a chance and try it out. I have just had my first shake with water and honestly it tastes miles better than cyclone. why do people moan for nothing. My protein need a medal for this product. I have the choc mint flavour. I just had to write a review to back up this amazing product.

If i see the benefits then im not going to let the toxic smell concern me too much. If anyone is still looking for the weapons of mass destruction look no further they are in my arse.

Reading the comments, it seems some people miss the point of supplements - they are there to help you achieve goals - not to substitute your favourite pint! Personally, I'd prefer bad tasting, but effective to good tasting and useless.\n\nMy main comment would be that the protein profile could be higher (hence 4 stars), but I supplement with a second protein mix that delivers a staged release. As for how long it lasts - it last as long as your training habits dictate twice daily on training days, once daily on non-training days (60 grams each time) - not difficult to work out - buy multi-tubs to reduce the cost (I split shipments with a mate).\n

I have brought this product 2 weeks ago and am now about to order my second tub. For an all in one, it is great! The last all in one i took was Maximuscle Cyclone, which is good but you feel the extra carbs piling onto your stomach. However you dont get this with Hurricane Evo. It mixes well, and even though im not the greatest fan of choc mint flavour, it really doesnt taste that bad at all!\nI know there is a mix review of how long it lasts, and I can only really comment on my usage, but I have been taking it 3x a day on training days and 2x on non training days, as the tub still recommends you take it when you dont train. I know there is alot in the product, but it still seems pricey as it works out around £60per month, plush gym membership, so im paying in excess off £90 per month in order to put on hard gains!\nI am another person who finds it hard to put on solid gains, but this seems to do the trick, as with any product, they all take time, but i dont seem to summer extra gas or the runs from this product compared to others... I am unable to give this 5/5 as I havent taken it for long enough... Hope this helps!

I will be the first to admit I don't like bad tasting shakes, they make you feel disgusting before you have even started. Nice example here is MaxiGarbage Cyclone...\n\nWith regards to taste, the Hurricane Evo is distinctly average some days can be a bit too much and other days can be gulped down like any other shake. I personally found that with really cold water that it tasted its best. I did try milk on a couple of occasions but it makes it a thicker shake and the taste was still not all that.\n\nNow where the Hurricane Evo did excel was that if you continue through it taking two helpings per day, you will experience solid gains in size and strength and not the type that is commonly associated with all-in-ones. I came off Hurricane Evo and maintained almost all my strength, I dropped down a maximum of 2kg bust an average of 1kg per exercise.\n\nIn conclusion, it is a solid shake and worked even for me. A guy who finds it very hard to put on weight, the only side effect is a bit of wind here and there but nothing that should have you worried. The type of wind you can blame on being a proud male!\n\nHope this helps.

Someone wrote that 1 tub last for 2 weeks - it's not true.\nThis is typical after workout formula (proteins + carbs) so 4lb = about 1800 grams, one portion is 60 g, it means that i 1 tub caintain 30 servings, now if somebody train on gym like me 3 times a week 1 tub will last for 10 weeks !!!! If someone train 4 time w week, 1 tub last for 7 and half week - so it is quite long ! isn't it ?

I reluctantly ordered the chocolate mint flavour (as I'm not a great fan of chocolate mint flavour in any situation, let alone a protein drink) as plain chocolate smooth isn't an option.\n\nWell there was no need to worry, and I should have known that myprotein wouldn't let me down, because the taste was great (and I am VERY fussy on taste), the consistency fine, it dissolved perfectly and the results were more than satisfying.\n\nWould be 5 stars but it is a tad pricey and you do get through it quickly.\n\nOh and delivery was mega fast as usual. A lot of businesses could learn a thing or two from myprotein, because you guys are sterling in every aspect.\n\n

after using allot of my protein supplements i thought id try this hurricane evo.\nwell i know you shoudnt judge a shake on taste but the vanilla was so vial with a grainy texture i couldnt even get it down my neck.\nthe principle of the hurricane is good but i think the vanilla was a waist of money this time around.
  • Great for Strength (17/06/2009)
  • Review:
I tried this after being recommended to this site. Haven't taken protein shakes often but needed it as been training for a year now. I would definately recommend this to anyone starting frequent training in order to acheive strength and definiton. Feel alot more stronger but like others feel that this is a bit expensive and runs out quickly. Im now going onto ultimate whey to add more bulk and take creatine separately. Cookies and cream..cant wait!
  • Worst tasting ever (16/06/2009)
  • Review:
Brought Hurrican Evo the other day as a cheaper alternative to maximuscle cyclone and reflex one stop. However tried my first shake yesterday (vanilla velvet flavour) and honestly it is the worst tasting thing i have ever had. It tasted like trying to drink 400ml of baileys, absolutely dreadful. If i can manage to stomach the whole tub i will definately not buy again, hope the results are even half worth the price and taste.

The taste is fine, but the texture is very chalky.

This is probably the best product that I have used in 25 years of training. The only downside is the price and amount you need to use as 1 tub will last 2 weeks but you will definately notice results on your 2nd tub. As for the taste, if your a serious trainer then you'll stick with it. Train hard and well.
  • Worst Protein Ever (26/05/2009)
  • Review:
Im a big fan of Myprotein but not this product! It makes me feel sick and todayI had to cut my work out short. The taste is ok but the texture is rough. Im going to stick to single products rather than the all-in-one. Still it leaves me with a whole tub of which I am unable to use :-(
  • Burgh!!! (18/05/2009)

i just finished a tub of this, in chocolate mint....the taste was ok, but after five minutes of drinking it, i felt sick as a dog...ill...i got a little bit bigger from it...nothing special
  • Awesome (13/05/2009)
  • Review:
I am stronger and have been able to train harder because of this product. Excellent value for money, the taste of the vanilla velvet is disgusting but I didn't buy it for the flavour. If you made it taste like the Strawberry meal replacement shake I would be in heaven though!!
  • Great product, terrible taste (09/05/2009)
  • Review:
Been using this for a month now as a cheap alternative to Maximuscle Cyclone.\nOverall this product seems as good as Cyclone but for 30% less money each month which is a great thing.\nProblem I have is that I can drink Cyclone freely whereas the choco mint flavour of Hurricane is nasty at best. I would use this again if the flavour range was expanded but until then I am afraid I won't be buying again.
  • Very good suppliment. (25/04/2009)
  • Review:
I think this is a very good suppliment, i have seen huge gains on this phased with the mp max weight gainer. The only problem is I go through a tub very fast, even on the recomended 2 shakes a day. Also, because I won't drink the chocolate flavioured shakes I only have a choice of one flavour. It would be greatly appreciated if more flavours were introduced.

This is a great product but could you expand the range of flavours, please?
  • ok (17/04/2009)

its ok im sure if it was just chocolate without the mint it would of been better, but im gona stick with the whey protein, overall good product.
  • good taste - bit expsensive (24/03/2009)
  • Review:
I had the chocolate mint, the taste is pretty good -very slightly medicinal but nice. the tub is only 4lb so it only 2/3rds full, and at 3 scoops per serving twice a day, it only last 15days! cheaper than cyclone tho, but too expensive for me in future. overall good product though.
  • Excellent but... (23/03/2009)
  • Review:
Even with only taking this twice day... I seem to be going through it like its going out of fashion... but even though it is priced pretty steeply compared to other supplements, I have seen excellent gains!!!\nI would recommend the choclate mint flavour... one of these with milk (or even water) goes down a treat.
  • Good but just seems Expensive? (60£ a month) (14/03/2009)
  • Review:
I purchased this product about a week ago and i can already see the effect that the creatine has had on my body (extra water) but not on my energy or endurance. ..... My first impression were: this tastes disgusting, its gritty and not very good at mixing. However i reckon taking off the lid of your shaker bottle and necking the drink so you dont have to put up with the taste for aslong. (o and im on about the vanilla flavour). However, supplements are not many be treats that taste gd (but we prefer they do). I'm seeing good results and as far as i no creatine in this small of a dose is heathly.
  • Very disappointing (11/03/2009)
  • Review:
I purchased the Hurricane Evo velvet vanilla flavour over a month ago and the whole tub is still there unused. The taste is very bitter and i am very disappointed as i believe the four and a half star taste rating on the site is very deceiving. The product tastes worst than medicine, almost to the point of being undrinkable. Can anyone comment on the chocolate flavour? I need a product for strength, mass and endurance
  • bitter tasting (06/03/2009)

good well priced product ,but the bitter almost medicinal taste (vannila) mean Ill have my two tubs for a long time
  • Vanilla velvet (25/02/2009)
  • Review:
I've just had my first tub delivered thanks to MP for getting it dispatched so quick. I've got the vanilla flavour and with milk it makes a really thick gloopy shake which tastes awesome. Hopefully i'm going to see some gains on this stuff!
  • It's decent (13/02/2009)
  • Review:
I've been using this for a couple of weeks and it's been working pretty well. However, I'm going to change back to Hurricane XS because this (vanilla flavour) tastes disgusting.
  • decent, but too sweet (07/02/2009)
  • Review:
seems like a decent all in one powder, but i find it far too sweet and the artificial sweetners, although better than aspartine etc, are too bitter and artificial tasting too.
  • Creatine (28/01/2009)
  • Review:
It says that you should take this product twice a day, so if you did that you would get your 5g of creatine from this. However, I guess you could still take it once a day and add more creatine yourself. I think im going to stick with XS for now tho.
  • Great Stuff (24/01/2009)
  • Review:
I used Hurricane XS for a while, and thought I'd try this out once it appeared. I'm not so keen on the taste, but that means nothing...it does a great job, is packed full of everything you want, and seems to give you a buzz taken pre-workout.\nOne thing I hope someone can answer, why has this got a lower creatine content that Hurricane XS? I'm a hard gainer so need all the help I can get, maybe I should stick to XS?
